Boy, it was a sad moment in the barn. Even I felt a bit sad when the two passionate lovers kissed good-bye . . .

Yeah, how does she know that?

I'm sure TPTB already forgot about her saying that, just like with Chloe. :\

It's probably like with Lex. He knows Clark is tied to the caves but just can't see it past their friendship (or insert whatever answer you like along the terms of her knowing just never saying anything).

Yeah, they both know there is something strange about that farmboy.. but cant quite put their finger on exactly why his is special.. Or maybe Lana thought she could just foist the murder weapon onto Clark.

I thought that maybe Isobel left some of her memories she had about Clark . . .

maybe she just felt that because all of the things Clark has done and always there to save her that he could best protect the stone

Maybe... after all the trouble the stone brought her.....

shes giving it to Clark because shes trying to punish him for not focusing his entire story plot on Her this season??

THis is her Revenge!

just kidding...i love lana

You gotta remember that Clark has saved Lana more times than he has fingers and toes and eventually common sense is going to weigh in and make Lana think to herself "There has to be something strange or special about him."

And of course Clark has protected her so many times, why not give him the stone since he seems to always protect her.

By giving him the stone, She trusted Clark and knew he would never betray her or her trust for him.

I honestly believe Lana is next in line to know Clark isn't just a ole farmboy.

Haha. Exactly. Bring in another "Blank" episode. That was maybe the most disappointing Smallville episode, in regards the storyline at least.

I think she knew Clark wouldn't go all the way to China just to accompany her.

There is nothing deep at work here. The writers simply wanted Lana to give Clark the stone, rather than some complex story line that had Clark somehow get the stone from Lana. The show just didn't have time for this.

So Lana gives the stone to Clark. But that would seem odd, so the writers just had Lana saying that line.

There is no deep continuity, no deep development. Just a simple fudge to get a desired end. Typical SV writing in other words.

Are you serious? I loved that episode. Maybe number two or three in the whole season!!! But that is just my humble opinion.

I always like to to pretend TPTB means The Producers Those B******s!

It's more funny when reading post and inserting that instead it makes all the posts funny.

How does Lana know?

Clark found the caves, Clark spends more time studying that thing than anyone, Clark found the symbols, she told Clark about the tattoo, Clark went with her to China to support her. Clark did everything with her even freed her from Isobel's "Spell".

Clark knows more about the symbols, the caves and the stones than anyone and more than he letting on. If the stone should be with anyone, it should be with Clark.

Lana trusts Clark, she trusts him to not only protect the stone but protect her freedom, for as long as Clark has the stone, Lana can't go to jail because of the absence of a murder weapon.

Clark has been the one thing she could depend on this year even if there was no huge romance between them. As Lana once said in Season 1.

"That's the thing about Clark Kent. He's not always there when you want him but he's always there when you need him."

Not to anger any Clana fans or anything, but I am fearing the worst next season for who gets to know Clark's secret.

If it's Lana before Chloe, I will be soooooooooooo unbelievably irate!!!

In the comics, yes, Lana knew but you cannot possibly make Chloe go through all of this crap of pretending not to know and dropping hints and yet Lana all of a sudden instinctively knows so she gets to be in on the secret? No way!

Lana can wait. For once, don't give Chloe the shaft!

I could see Clark finding out that Chloe knows his secret. But when he confronts her about it, she asks him to not go into details about his origin. Of coarse, she assumes that he's just another meteor fre- effected person so he would have to tell her anyway.

I'm not up on my Superman History but I seen someone else post that the entire town of Smallville knew his secret. I don't remember who posted it sorry. I hope everyone finds out. lol
