Lionel on the Floor?

I just finished looking at the new clips for the season Finale, it looks like Lionel is on the floor with Lex hovering over him. Speculation: Has Lionel seen his last day?

I also saw in another trailer that it looked like Lex was leaping at Lionel. I am not too sure what is going to happen.

whenever they polish off ol' Lionel, he is too important to be offed in a single scene, it needs to be a part of a dedicated episode to him and Lex, the villain of the story.

He definitely does not look dead. Just paralyzed or something. Probably has to do with the stones.
