such an awesome update!!! poor lana got shot but it's just on the leg, she'll make it.... how i wish percy was the one who got shot instead, the bastard!!!! yeah and clark would definitely make it, as ketchup said it wouldn't make sense killing clark at this point :D PPMS!!!

Clark felt like he was spinning around in a black hole. Soon he felt like he was falling deeper and deeper, through a cave that was becoming darker and darker. He kept bracing himself for the connection of the ground, but it never came. Things just grew darker and darker. His arms moved around wildly as he tried to find something to grab onto, something to save him, but it seemed useless.
Suddenly through the darkness he heard a voice. “Kal-el!”
Clark looked around, but there was nothing, had he imagined the voice?
“Kal-el!” The voice boomed louder and stronger.
Clark knew he wasn’t imagining it, he recognized it. “Jor-El! What are you doing?” He yelled out.
“Trying to save you….you will be given a choice soon my son. This time, you must choose!”
Clark was even more confused than before. “What are you talking about…. Choice? Why can’t you just leave me alone!”
“I can Kal-el, but the one you love will suffer if that is what you choose.”
“The one I love……what are you talking about? What have you done?”
“I have done nothing, I warned you that you would bring pain to the ones you love, and you didn’t heed warning.
Clark didn’t respond right away. He was definitely more confused than he had been before. “Why are you doing this to me?”
“Kal-el, my son. I am trying to save you. You have been fatally wounded. While you were down, Jonathon Kent and Martha Kent were held hostage. The man who shot you was about to shoot them. The brave young girl whom you claim to love tried to help. Somehow the man knew about you, your origins, how you came to this planet. He began to tell her girl, to confuse her. In her confusion he took advantage of her and knocked her down threatening to shoot her.”
Clark felt as though the wind had been knocked out of him when he hear Jor-El telling him about Lana. He hated that she was finding out about him, from a jerk. At least she knew the truth, but that didn’t stop the pain Clark felt in his heart. “Will she ever talk to me again?” Clark thought worriedly. Jor-El seemed to read his thoughts.
She still stood her ground, but Kal-El she was facing much confusion.
“Was?” Clark questioned, “What do you mean was?”
There was a quiet pause, the tension was thick, the darkness seemed to grow once again even darker.
“WHAT DO YOU MEAN!?!?” Clark yelled.
Jonathon Kent tried to stop Percy, in their struggle the gun was accidentally fired, Lana was shot in the leg. It didn’t seem bad, but the bullet as gone straight through her leg, when it hit the ground, it bounced back up and shattered the bone in the bottom of her leg, while getting stuck in the top bone of her leg.
Clark cried out in horror, “No!!!! NO!!!”
“Yes Kal-el, I tried to warn you, but you did not listen, now the one you love is struggling for her life as are you.”
“What do you mean? How are you talking to me if I am struggling for my life?”
“Kal-el, I am your biological father, I am dead, but am still able to communicate with you. I am in your subconscious. You were shot by a kryptonite bullet, you stopped breathing before anyone was able to aid you. The Kent’s came as quickly as they could and Jonathon was able to remove the bullet. Yet you were exposed to it for quite a long time. It wasn’t just on the outside like the other pieces of Kryptonite, but it was stuck in your body for a long time. It continued to damage you while in your system.”
Clark felt his chest, but there was no sign of a wound.
“Remember Kal-El, this is your subconscious.”
Clark had never felt so many emotions at once. Pain, regret, sadness, frustration, anger. None of them were happy emotions. It seemed to push him even further into the darkness. “What if Lana doesn’t make it. What if….she does, but never speaks to me again for what I have done to her, both physically and mentally. What if I survive and she doesn’t.” Clark thought.
“Kal-el. It is nearly time for you to make your choice. It will not be easy. You have already not listened to my warnings once, and this happened; now you must listen to me. You must make a choice.
Clark was about to yell out at Jor-el, but as he realized what was going on, this all had been his fault. He did have to make a choice, but this time, it was going to be the right one.
Martha Kent stood in her husbands embrace; her son still had not healed. Blood was still seeping through the cloth they had tried to use. “Martha…. We need to get him… to…. to the hospital.” Jonathon choked out the words. He had to think of a doctor he could trust. Maybe call in an old friend.
Martha looked at her husband questioning his statement, but as she looked once more at her son, she knew he was right. A hospital was the only thing that could save Clark.
Jonathon searched his mind for a way to get Clark there, he didn’t want to call an ambulance, they would ask too many questions, do too many things on the way to the hospital. “Pete.” He whispered.
“Martha call Pete, tell him to get down here, Clark is in danger.” Martha nodded realizing Pete was the best. He had more experience driving fast in Smallville than anyone she knew.
“Hello?”
“Pete! It’s Martha!”
“Hey Mrs. Kent, is everything okay?” Pete asked hearing the strain in her voice.
“Pete, It’s Clark he is in danger, we need you to bring out truck, to get here as fast as you can. Please Pete hurry, we will talk when you get here.”
“O…O..Okay.” Pete said his voice obviously full of feat. Clark was invisible, he never even got sick.
Pete didn’t ask questions, he wrote down the directions Mrs. Kent gave him and drove his car to the Kent’s. He ran into the house grabbing the spare key’s to the truck. He climbed into the red truck. Adjusted the mirrors, revved the engine a bit and sped off kicked dirt up as he pulled out of the Kent’s driveway.
Martha hung up and nodded to her husband. “He’s on his way.”
Jonathon placed a hand on his head and nodded, than it hit him. Jack Melk. They had been on the football team together, he only lived in Granville, he had become a doctor.
“Martha, hand me the phone, go check on Lana.” He said glancing over at the young girls motionless body.
Martha didn’t wait another second, she shoved the phone into Jonathon’s hand and raced off to Lana. She saw the look of pain on her face. Her eyes were closed and her breathing had become very shallow. She looked at the wound and nearly gagged. It was so gruesome you could see so much. She pulled her eyes from the wound back up to Lana’s face. She gently stroked her hair as tears fell from her eyes. “Come on Lana, you can make it sweet heart, we are getting help right now.”
Martha hoped for an answer, the eyes opening, a deeper breath, but nothing. She continued to stroke Lana’s hair and took a hold of her hand. She noticed the vomit next to Lana, and it made her cry even harder. Lana was not doing well, at all. She looked up at her husband. “Jonathon hurry!” She cried out to him.
Jonathon had just hung up the phone with Jack. He had agreed to meet him at Smallville’s ER. As soon as he hung up he heard his wife’s cry. Jonathon ran over to where Lana was laying. He stopped his eyes wide at the sight. Lana was definitely worse than he expected. “Jack’s on his way Sweetheart, and so is Pete, it’s going to be okay.” He said trying to sound confident, but his voice shook as he spoke.
He knelt down beside Lana and tried to roll her pants up, but something was wrong with her leg, and he couldn’t get it even an inch. He smelled the wound and his stomach churned as he looked at how terrible it was. He saw the blood still coming out. He took of the rest of his shirt and wrapped it all around Lana’s leg to try and hold in some of the blood.” He stood back up as he finished not wanting to look down at the girl. “It’s okay Martha.” He said but once again his voice was shaky.

Bad news on the computer front.
They are coming back tommorw morning and are this 'time' fixing the network. Who knows though. They are "claiming" to be done by thursday, but you have my word that as soon as it is back up and running I will update! Don't loose interest please!!!:D

Jonathon walked back over to Clark there was still no sign of life, he was on the verge of a breakdown as the two young children whom her cared and loved the most were both fighting hard for their lives. “Martha, come give me a hand!” He called out.
Martha reluctantly left Lana and hurried over to her husband and son. “Help me carry Clark carefully over by Lana.” Martha didn’t understand what her husband’s purpose was but she didn’t question, she was too troubled to question. She lifted Clark’s feet as Jonathon gently lifted the top of his body. The couple slowly moved Clark over to Lana and laid him down next to her.
“It will be easier and faster to get them into the truck and to the hospital.”
Martha nodded in realization but still didn’t speak.
Jonathon walked over to his wife and pulled her into his strong embrace holding her body close.
Martha held her husband tight as she buried her loud sobs in his shirt, yet soon another sound was hiding her sobs. She pushed herself away from her husband and turned around to see what the sound was.
Jonathon also heard the sound and let his wife go following her to get a better look at what it was.
Pete came speeding towards the Kent’s. He scanned the area for Clark, but couldn’t see him. As he pulled up to where Jonathon and Martha were standing. He saw Clark. His best friend for as long as he could remember lying motionless on the ground. His best friend who was from another plant, who had never been sick was on the ground. Pete wasn’t even sure if he was alive. Yet as he stared at Clark, his eyes moved to the figure next to Clark.
“Lana?” He said with an intake of breath he saw her face had lost all of it’s color. Her fragile body seemed limp on the ground. His eyes moved down to her leg, the blue cloth of Jonathon’s shirt was now a deep color of red. He wasn’t sure how long he had been standing there, but he was snapped out of his shock by a hand placed on his shoulder.
“Thanks Pete.” Jonathon whispered as he set his hand firmly on his shoulder. “Can you help me load them into the back of the truck?”
Pete could only nod, but didn’t take his eyes away from the sight of Clark and Lana.
“Martha, place some of the blankets on the bed of the truck so we can lay them there. Pete, come grab Clark’s legs, we’ll load him up first.”
Martha raced to prepare the back of the truck for the too injured teens, while Pete walked as if his feet were bricks end bent down to Clark’s feet. “Come on Clark-man, you can make it buddy.” He whispered still trying to believe that his best friend was so close to death.
Martha made a nice bed in the back of the truck and watched as Jonathon and Pete gently lowered Clark in. She stood and watched as they picked up Lana and laid her gently next to Clark.
She looked at the two for a moment, than moved to the passenger side of the truck.
Jonathon turned to face Pete whose eyes were still on Clark and Lana, “It’s going to be okay Pete.”
“Mr. Kent, where are you going to take Clark, I mean with his secret and all.”
“I have a friend, who is a Dr. one a think I may actually trust. He is meeting us at the hospital, I am sure everything will work out Pete, don’t worry.” He said once again placing his hand on Pete’s shoulder.
“Okay, let me know if there is anything else I can do Mr. Kent.”
“I will Pete, thanks again, do you want me to call a cab for you?”
“No thanks, I think I am just going to walk, clear my head. See ya.” And with that Pete slowly began to walk away.
Jonathon felt bad, he wished there was more he could do, he knew that the sight of Clark and Lana had affected Pete, but he couldn’t worry about that at the moment, he had to get the two kids to the hospital before it was too late.
He grabbed another blanket and gently draped it over Clark and Lana, “Hold on you two!” He said his voice wispy. He climbed into the truck and drove carefully avoiding bumps, but as fast as he possibly could.
Clark still seemed to be falling in the darkness he tried to yell out, but he couldn’t make a sound.
“Kal-el! It is almost time, you must choose soon before the young girl leaves.”
“Jor-el, what have you done? What do you mean she will leave?”
“I have done nothing my son, it is your doing, she is hurt and in very critical condition, the Kent’s are trying to get her to the hospital, but your decision will depend on whether she makes it or not.”
“What do you mean, you would honestly kill an innocent girl because of me?”
“Your Destiny is what is important, not some young infatuation with a girl.”
“It’s more than that I……”
“You think that, but you must trust me, I am your father.”
“NO!” He screamed, “Jonathan Kent is my father! You are nothing more than a monster!”
“You have been warned, the next time I communicate with you, will be the time when you must give me your decision.”
Clark tried to yell, but once again nothing cane out of his mouth.

Upon reading all the hubbub over your return to K-Site, I had to start reading this fic! Ummm, ajfinn should have given you an award for Biggest Cliffhanger.
I mean, Clark and Lana are both on the edge of death, and the story gets stopped for roughly three weeks! That the Olympus Mons of cliffhangers!

Well you know if Clark chose destiny over Lana, his destiny wouldn't be worth fulfilling without the love of his life... and If he chooses Lana over his destiny, her life wouldn't be worth living without Clark right?????? So here is the thing, I can't decide on which story to update....so I wrote a bit too both and I need you all to help me decide. I will update the other one also, but from the beggingins of the next parts, Here is this stories part.
Clark couldn’t take it anymore, He was sick of the darkness. “Jor-El!” He screamed, but there was not a sound in the darkness “Jor-el!” He tried once again but there was not a sound. He tried once more and was surprised at the harshness in his voice. “Jor-El!”
“Yes My Son, are you ready to choose?”
“Not Quite, I….”
“I warned you that the next time you I came to you would be the time you must make your decision.”
Clark had to think fast, “I will, but……. But I don’t believe what you have said about Lana.”
“And Why is that? You think I would make something up about this?”
“Yes, I do.”
“Well I guess you will just have to trust me.”
“NO!” Clark shouted, “I want proof before I choose, or else…. I will not fight to survive; I will ruin your destiny that you have for me.”
There was a long pause and Clark worried that he had gone to far.
“Very Well.” He finally heard his father say, “I will give you proof.”

If someone really wants to contact her you can click on her username and then click where it says email so and so. I would do it but I don't think my mom would want me to.

Wow, it has been ages since I have been at this bored, no interent at my apartment, and school kept me busy, but here is a good long update, I hope you enjoy, thanks for remaning faithful everyone, sorry I was gone for so long! Enjoy. If you remember, Jor-El is about to prove to Clark that Lana is in critical condition. Enjoy, and please reply about it.
Clark popped up and gasped for air. He looked around as he felt the wind in his hair, he was in the back of the Kent red truck. He glanced down and noticed Lana laying next to him. “Lana?” He gasped. He looked down and noticed the swollen and gross leg. “Oh Lana!” He cried. Suddenly her eyes popped open.
“Clark?!?” She said sitting up to face him.
“Lana? You… You’re okay?”
“Of course, why wouldn’t I be silly?” She teased.
“Well, for starters, have you looked at your leg lately?”
“Oh…..that…it’s fine, just special effects.”
“Special effects?” Clark asked her looking confused.
“You know, that look you do, when you don’t quite know what is going on…..it is very sexy.”
Clark felt his cheeks burning. “It is?” He asked.
“Yes, it is.” Lana said moving towards him. She was right next to him and he could feel her breath on his lips.
“Lana I……”
“Clark? I get the feeling, that you want me…that you need me.” She whispered teasing him with her breath.
Clark gulped, he could only nod.
“Well Clark, I need you too, more than you know. I want you……more than you know.” She whispered soft enough that his super hearing was needed to hear the last part.
Lana could feel Clark’s heart racing as she slowly moved her soft hands up his chest. “The question is, do you need and want me, as much as I need and want you?” She asked staring into his eyes.
Clark snaked his arms around her waist and pulled her close. He closed the gap between their lips with his. The first kiss was soft, and short. When Lana pulled away, she felt Clark pull her back. The seconds kiss started out like the first. But soon Lana had her arms wrapped around his neck pulling herself onto him. Clark sucked on her bottom lip and softly bit for access to explore the inside of her mouth. Lana giggled and granted him entrance. As Clark worked Lana let out a soft groan into his mouth.
Instead of slowing down, the sound turned Clark on even more. He moved his hands to the small of her back, and pulled her even closer. Lana seemed to agree with this notion for soon her hands were running through his hair, her fingers gripping each lock. She turned the tables on Clark and pulled back from the kiss. Clark look at her with confusion. Lana gave him a sly smile. She sat a bit back on Clark’s lap so as to have a better view of his chest. She slowly ran her fingers along his defined muscles. She felt each muscle twitch as she touched them. She continued this motion while slowly moving her lips centimeters away from his. She could feel his whole body tense up and she knew her teasing was affecting him.
Lana blew softly on his lips, then pulled back. Than went back in a blew again softly. She was about to pull back once more when she heard a moan and felt Clark’s lips crashing with hers. Her fingers being smashed between their bodies as the moved closer, this time Lana kissed Clark hard, and using her lips opened his mouth and took her turn exploring each crevice of his salty mouth.
Lana knew Clark was struggling to contain himself, and that pleased her more. She felt him lowering her to the bed of the truck, but fighting not to break the kiss, not to loose her tongue from his mouth. Yet as soon as she was safely down, he moved on top of her, and wasn’t careful anymore. He pulled back and kissed her down to her neck where he stopped.
Lana could have screamed. It felt so good. She moved her hands to his back and gently stroked to encourage him.
“Clark.” She whispered with all her breath.
“Mmmmm” He said not removing his lips from her neck.
“Clark, I love you!”
He stopped and pulled his head up to look in her eyes.
“What?” He mouthed
“I LOVE YOU CLARK KENT!” Lana screamed, but no one was there, it was dark.
“Hello?” She called out, but no sound was heard, everything was dark. But her dream had seemed so real, even though she had acted like a slut. She felt so good, she knew she loved Clark. Maybe when she was so close to dying, her darkest secrets and dreams were remembered. But that was a dream she was wanting to remember forever. Blackness was all around her, Yet suddenly a bright light came and soon she forced her eyes open. She looked around and saw Clark’s body still motionless, still tinted green. Her eyes filled with tears and in an instant the pain of her leg came back. She felt nauseated. Letting out a yelp, she slipped back into darkness.
Clark’s eyes fluttered open. “Jor-El?” He croaked, but there was no answer. He wasn’t sure where he was at first, but soon recognized the red truck. He looked around and saw Lana. Her face was pale, yet twisted in pain. “Lana?” He said, trying to sit up, but realizing he could not move his body. Only his head. “Oh Lana, what have I done!?!” He sobbed. Yet there was no reaction, her lifeless body remained still. He looked down and saw her mangled leg. It didn’t even look like a leg anymore. “Oh Lana… I am so sorry.” He cried. He wanted to go to her, to take the woman he had loved his whole life from a distance in his arms, but he still was not able to move.
“Jor-EL!” Clark screamed, “What have you done to her.”
“I have done nothing, this was all because of your selfish actions.”
“No…”
“Do not try to deny it my son. We both know the truth.”
Clark’s eyes burned with tears as once again he looked at the woman he loved, struggling to keep her life. “Oh Lana, if only you knew how much I loved you.” He sobbed.
“Your time is up my son. I have proven to you that She is fighting for her life, now you must choose.”
“No, I just need to see her, to keep her.”
“NO Kal-EL! You must choose now, I have done my part of the bargin, now you must do yours.”
Clark didn’t take his eyes from Lana, and soon there was darkness surrounding him, yet he fought to keep the image of Lana in his mind.
“You must choose my son, the life of the girl, or your destiny, you must choose now!”
Clark opened his mouth, to tell Jor-El his decision

Wow! Meg, we're so happy to have you back. There are tons of new fics here since you were last here. ajfinn finished This Time will be Different. It was awesome. I know that fic was here when you were.
So how often will you be able to update & for how long? Please fins a library PC to use, before torturing us with no updates for a whole lot of months. And poor Clark & Lana both left bleeding to death!

HOLY CRAP!!! WOW!! I almost forgot what this story was about! But I remember now...and let me tell you...wow. That was getting pretty hot there for a while. Very sad it was just a dream, and they are actually dying! Clark has to save her! He HAS TO!!!! POST MORE SOON!!
