Hey everyone,
I just got back from Best Buy and bought one my more anticipated CD's in a while: Lifehouse's Self-Titled 3rd Album.
You might remember Lifehouse's previous hits from Smallville including "Everything" that was featured in the Pilot and Finale of Season 1 from the Smallville: Talon Mix CD and Lifehouse's first album No Name FAce. Also feature was their acoustic version of the song "Take Me Away" from their second album Stanley Climbfall that was featured in many Clana fans biggest moment of the series: The picnic scene in Exodus.
Lifehouse is supposed to actually make an appearance in the upcoming episode "Spirit' most likely to promote their new album as well as their single "You & Me". It will probably be similar to Remy Zero's appearance in Tempest.
I've only heard the album one time through but it's very and if you've liked what you've heard of the band pick this one up!! It's only $9.99 for the first couple of days at most outlets.

Lifehouse is seriously the best band! I was so freakin' excited when I found out they are going to be on SV this year. I can't wait.
I actually got the "CD" a week ago (Shh) but my illegalness is okay because I went and bought the actual CD. BUt seriously, as all of their albums, this one is amazing. It is completely worth your money! All of the tracks are great but at the moment I especially love "Better Luck Next Time" and "Chapter One".
Go out and buy this album people! Support the best band around! (IMO) Yay for SV and Lifehouse! Double Yay for Lifehouse on SV! I'm so very excited if you can't tell already.

yeah I like Better Luck Next Time and "All in All" right now.
I'm sure I'll have some new favorites after I get a little more familiar with it.
And I just decided to wait to get the CD instead of....other means. I'm loyal to few bands and this is one and I wanted the release day to be an event for me.

I got it earlier this morning off iTunes.
I like it, but it still doesn't compare to "No Name Face".
It's better than "Stanley Climball" though.
I'll recommend it if you have the first album already, but if you don't have any of their albums "No Name Face" is the one to pick up.

I'll wait and judge it after a few weeks.
I didn't like most of the tracks at first on No Name Face.
I liked Hanging by a Moment, Sick Cycle Carousel, Everything, Simon and that was it.
Now I like the every song

Don't get me wrong, I love this album, but I can tell that it's not going to be enjoyable to me as No Name Face.
Simon is my favourite Lifehouse song, it was long and great. Most of the songs on that album had a different feel.
This new album feels like one long song, however it may grow on me. But at this moment, how I feel now, I would pick their debut up.
EDIT:
I'll rereview it next week after more listens. And on a different note, did anyone get that new TRUSTcompany album True Parallels? It's off the hook:)

right i hear you.
My point from my tastes was I didn't like No Name Face at first.
So as of now I like the new album better than Stanley but not as much as No Name Face. But that could change.
I know No Name Face backwards and forwards so of course it'll be hard for a new album to overtake it right off the bat

I agree.
And also since it was their first album, it was a fresh experience.
It's what made us fans of them in the first place. It has its sentimental value.
All round, I think this album may actually be better as a whole, but none of the tracks are as good as Simon.

Simon and Everything are pretty hard to beat in my eyes.
I was obsessed with both songs for a long time.

I can still listen to those songs and enjoy them.
Although I really like "You and Me" since it was released as a single about a month or so ago.

You & Me is very solid.
Hasn't gotten old to me yet.
I can't wait to see them on Smallville. That'll be really cool. I would die laughing if Pete makes a surprise cameo and does his awkward yell like he did for Remy Zero when Lifehouse performs

:rotfl:
That would be priceless.
Pete's only line:
"Yeah they rock. LIFEHOUSE!!!!"
:rotfl:
On another note, are you a fan of Dishwalla? They also had a song on SV. Their new album is incredible. They are one of my favourite bands over the past 8 years or so. Never released a bad album.

I got it from the Internet this morning. But iTunes, so it's all good.
Lifehouse will do better this time. "You and Me" was one of the most popular singles on iTunes a while ago.
I love "Come back Down".

No, not the internet. Like I said I have a friend, radio dj, from a local radio station, has been for years. He gives me some good tunes, usually for the road. I give him some of my home game ticket allotments. He knows I like Alt bands, his station is Alt Rock, so he sent it to me.
I haven't been a kid for about 15 yrs.

Ok, my re-review is here.
After a few more listens I haven't found a song I love as much as Simon.
HOWEVER, this album is better than "No Name Face".
"Walking Away" is one of my favourites at the moment. Others I love are "Blind", "You and Me", "Come Back Down".
I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I take back what I said about this CD not going to be more enjoyable than "No Name Face". It already is for me. I've played through the whole thing a few times, never had the urge to skip a track either:)

I have never actually seen Lifehouse apart from in 'Spirit' but I bought their album because I liked all the songs that were played on Smallville. I don't really know what they look like but they are my favourite band. Weird huh? :D
I actually found out this band in Smallville, it was in the first season as far as i can remember and i've been immediately addicted to it since the first time i heard it. It really is a good band..
My favorite scene, where we can hear one of their songs remains "You and me" when Clark and Lana are dancing...They were so cute :)
Other songs such as "Come back down", "hanging by a moment", "Blind", "Breathing", "Everything" are really good as well :)
Without Smallville i wouldn't have had the opportunity to hear them one day because where i live, they are almost unknown although we start hearing them on the air
So thank you Smallville :D
i love u tom

I knew who Lifehouse was and had heard You and Me a lot on the radio... I had downloaded it as a ringer and was so excited when I watched Smallville (barely had seen it for the first time ever in Jan. of this year) and heard Everything... I went out to get their CD for that song but of course it didn't have it on their latest CD  I bought their new one nonetheless and then I bought the soundtrack of Smallville :D So both were well worth it :)

I know this band since Roswell. It's one of my favs so far. I went to a concert in Boston and they signed my album. =p
Lifehouse are an amazing band. Never heard of them until I got into Smallville. The songs which appeared in Season 1 made me want more!
Its difficult to choose but my fav album is probably self-titled, Lifehouse.

Me too, I can't wait! They seem to be taking a more pop-based route with this new album but from what I have seen of the song lyrics, Jason Wade's songwriting still doesn't fail!
