To any of those Evil Dead fans,here is a question for ya:
At the end of Evil Dead 2, we see that Ash goes back in time to the year 1300 AD.As he arrives into the past,we see that he lands in a castle and that there are several soldiers which arrive armed with horses.They think that Ash is some kind of
deadite and must be destroyed.
As the wise man tries to kill him,a winged deadite approaches,
and then Ash,with his shotgun,kills the beast.The men are so
impressed that they believe that he is the Promised One sent to free them from the evil deadites.However,all of them begins to
salute him and Ash screams in anger and so the film ends.
At the beggining of Army of Darkness, ,we see a small recap of the end of Evil Dead 2 and then we have Ash landing still in the past however with several differences from the end of
Evil Dead 2 .The soldiers have changed entirely and now we see that Ash didnt landed in the castle,but in open space.
Also,we learn that the king is King Arthur.....and Ash actually confronts him later in the movie.However I didnt understood
why were the end of Evil Dead 2 is so different to
the beggining of Army of Darkness .
Was this done maybe because director Sam Raimi
couldnt use the original Evil Dead 2 footage?
It s just that it is confusing to see different endings and
begginings....so,why was Army Of Darkness prologue
different?
It s kind of confusing though....
