Depends On The Event then :)

I agree with Chi Town, as soon as I hear about that event, I plan everything: clothes, shoes, accessorizes...

Whether it's a wedding or a party I'm wearing jeans and a t-shirt preferably a punk rock shirt. Imagine my reaction when they I said I couldn't wear that stuff to my own wedding :D
It does take me a good 3-5 minutes to do my hair because it is very curly and very wavy and it is long enough to stretch to the tip of my nose now. It is a straight afro when it is dry with no gel. So I spend a couple minutes on that and that's all everthing else is on and ready to get drunk!

I like to start drinking before I decide what I wear. I usually put on some Akinyele and then start looking through the closet.

I'm Probably Gonna Shave... I Haven't Shaved In About A Week, And My Face Feels All Rough...

It all depends on what kind of event it is. If I'm going to a swap or a formal, I'm pretty slow about getting ready. Putting on a tux is a feat in itself sometimes. lol

Otherwise, I just throw on a polo and some kahkis and leave.

I just pick something and go.

It depends on the event, if I'm going to a party or a wedding for example, I spend more time on getting myself looking nice and choosing something good to wear. If I'm just going out for a meal or to the cinema with my partner or friends, I just throw on something casual and comfortable.

I guess it depends on the event. I want to make sure I'm dressed just right. For a wedding I'll go through the suits I have and pick the one that looks the best on me but will go right with the season. If it's something like a nice get together then I'll pick a really nice casual outfit... nice sweater or something like that.

I usually don't go too crazy unless of course nothing fits or what I planned on wearing needs to be cleaned or whatever.

Once I got the clothing issue settled the rest doesn't take long. I'm not the type that primps for hours.

I can't for the life of me figure out how girls decide what goes good with what season-and that whole no white on labor day WTF?!?!?!? Women you can't live with them and would die from blue ***** without them:D

Well its not like I have a lot to choose from. I mean your talking to a guy who doesnt own a suit and hardly ever wears a tie. I also keep my hair short so I dont have to mess with it. I just dont like to take a lot of time getting ready to go anywhere. I will shave and splash some good smellin stuff on, but nothing too hard.

I'm very pretentious in the sense that I'm very concerned about the way I am presented to other people.

In fact, I think I'm one of the few males I know who wears "teh maycup.'

*sigh*

I lament.

I chose the event over the look. I wear the same thing no matter what the event, if that's not good enough, I just don't go.

Life's too short to waste in front of mirrors worrying about every little detail.....

LOL
It depends on the event that is for sue! THe minute i hear what we will be doing, i.e. a wedding, movies, meal i know what i should wear. Something formal and elegant for formal occassions or something casual and comfortable for everyday stuff.
I usually put on some make up and lip-gloss and that's it.
Now my hair is a different story. It is long and kinda curly so it gets all messy if i don't pay extra care to it! Thank god for Kerastase! :D

I just kinda wear whatever. Unless it's an important event. Then I might take 10 minutes getting ready instead of 5.

Ya know. I guess Im kinda a hypocrite, because I dont like to dress up, but I love it when a nice looking woman goes to so much trouble.

if im going out to the local bar then i dont care what im wearing or how i look, i would prob have a 10days growth growin on my face or somthing, if i was going out to town or somthing like that then it would be a diff story, i would prob start gettin ready at 4pm id iron my clothes (yea i do my own ironing) get a shower have a shave then do the hardest part and thats brushing/fixing my hair, id then check myself out in the mirror to see if everythings lookin good then id prob fix my hair again then id splash myself with some fine aftershave id be smelling like andre 'aramis' agassi or somthng like that, then id leave and go out

Oh no! I am a total sore thumb in this thread! When it comes to going out, I am a total girlie girl. Work takes me 10 minutes to get ready... going out takes at least 2 hours...

Bar: I spend at least 1/2 hour looking at the clothes in my closet and dressers. Then, I rummage through my laundry pile to see if anything there catches my eye in time to wash and dry it. Typically, a friend comes over and we get dressed together, trying on pairs of shirts/skirts/pants. Usually I will find a pair of pants that we like, but then no shirts look right, so I have to start all over. Once the outfits are picked out, it's time match jewelry, which can take up to 1/2 hour. From there, it's about 10 minutes on hair, then we pop in a SV DVD and watch that while applying makeup and pregaming. So, for a typical bar night, the process is at least 2 hours, and sometimes 3.

Groceries, Mall, Errands: .3 seconds. I go out in whatever I'm wearing. The .3 seconds is how long it takes me to slip on my flip-flops.

Big/Fancy Event: Alot faster than Bar prep. Typically I will have an outfit planned in advance, but will actually take the time to style my hair and apply nice makeup. So, about an hour.

Aw, don't feel too bad. It's not until you do all that just for a bar night that you are as bad as some of us. It's perfectly understandable for big events! :D Feel better yet?

Um, first page why??

I open closet. Stare at clothes. Close closet. Open dresser. Stare. Go back to closet. Select anything. Go to bathroom. Brush hair. Leave.

Like 15 minutes for anything, tops.
