Count down to tonight's episode and talk about it live while it airs, here! (If you still do that sort of thing) If no one does the live thing, at least let this be the episode thread!

I have to say for a "stand alone ep" this was a very good one. The stand out performance to me even though there were several was really a tie between Shue and Coach Slyvester. I loved how Lynch played emotional, wounded, yet still hard and strong. Matthew Morrison to be is very underrated when it comes to dramatic performances and this episode once again proved that he has dramatic chops especially in the scene where he loses his cool with Emma on the coach. Honorable mention for Ricky Martin. (He does have really nice teeth.) To play almost a Latino version and not get a negative vibe off of him. I have to give him props for his performance not just dancing and singing. This is one of the few eps. of Glee where the story overshadowed the song selections. To that end one character I'm always intrigued by is Santana. One minute you want to kick her and the next you want to give a fist bump and a hug for being so frank. A perfect example of that is in the scene on stage with Shue and he looks at him and she calls him to the table about why he wants tenure so bad. My favorite scene however has to go to Finn and Kurt. Finn's finally voicing how he has been feeling since the premiere and even though we all knew what he was feeling I think voicing it out loud really shows that he's figuring that his life isn't over and it take his brother to show him that. I like how Kurt phrased that even though he and Rachel are special he is a rare find. The Mercedes and Sam think is really Finn, Jesse, and Rachel part III. I don't dislike the story line but it was the weak part of the episode to me. Lastly, I loved the scene in the locker with Beast, the jocks, and the pamphlets, and the guys responses. Lol. All and all episode rating 3.5 out of 5. Next week looks like a stand out of the season.

Wow I gotta say that this episode was pretty damn terrible
I liked the Hummelberrycedes scene. As well as the Kinn scene. Otherwise I didn't really feel like the episode had been worth watching. I think they just tried so hard to be like, Hey look! It's Ricky Martin! to actually focus on the plot. Then again it's probably because the adult storylines tend to bore me quite a bit. I also don't care for Samcedes so.. :\

I have to admit, I didn't like this episode much at all. I felt it was vulgar and crude in a lot of places and inappropriate in a lot more (seriously, Sue? Trying to get 'donations' from underage boy students?).
And whatever happened to Murphy's promise to stop focusing on guest stars? I know that Ricky Martin's character served a purpose (of a sort) but still...
I loved the Kurt and Finn stuff (about time those two had a scene together again!) and I liked the stuff with Becky as well.
Just...not a great episode, IMO. (I have seen a lot of positive comments and love for this episode so I realize I'm in the minority for disliking this one.)

Will was absolutely horrible in this episode, as he has been most of the this season. But this is really a new low. You're a SPANISH teacher and you don't know a word of spanish? You think translating an ELVIS song into spanish, using a translator, qualifies you to continue teaching spanish? You think.. and this was the worst part (aside from the la cucaracha fiasco) wearing a matador costume, running around singing an Elvis song while having your students dance around as bulls is not horribly ignorant in what i saw as his trying to represent his idea of latin culture?? I was deeply offended by his ignorance and if it hadn't been for Santana calling him on it I would've been worried the writers actually believed all those stereotypes to be true.
The only thing I found enjoyable about it was the Sue and NeNe scene. And Ricky Martin and Santana singing together.
All of their other song choices were horrible. Hero? Really? Ugh. I'm sexy and I know it? Ricky Martins voice is too good for that horrible party song.
