only thing i can think of is Lana grew up with a weirdness about not knowing her biological parents, having watched them perish before her eyes, and Clark joined her in that uneasiness when he found out his parents had perished together as well.

Of course since then Lana has discovered that her real biological father actually lives.... and it seems that all the main characters of the show have a missing mom, so that's really something everyone has in common..... weird. ... Jeez! I just realized that out of all the friends my son has, he's the only one that has BOTH his parents! :eek:

As for the thread question...well, most of the people they date die, they both seem to like horse riding, both are into astronamy/space ships, and both have had a friendship with Lex end badly. There are some more I'm sure...
