Who's up for a pretty good pre-Christmas double ep re-watch? :)

Lana was so sweet to show up and bring balloons for Mr. Kent like that. This was the stage during which they finally started becoming friendly again, although they were obviously still a little uncomfortable around each other. At least it wasn't COMPLETELY angst-filled, though. :p

It was nice of Clark to step up and try to help Pete out, although it may have been wise for him to stick around and summoned the cops before he left, just to make sure nobody left... Chloe saw right through what was going on, though, and I'm glad she was trying hard to help Pete as well.

Whoa... Pete is in BAD shape now... I feel really bad for him, but he is crossing MAJOR lines. He needs help because of some crazy situation that he got himself into, and I understand his dilemma, but there HAVE to be other solutions, like following Dante everywhere he goes, using x-ray vision to figure out where he's stashed his stuff, etc... Asking for $20,000 just like that? That's going above and beyond the call of friendship.

Agreed that Jonathan's advice was a little strange coming from him, but he was right about Clark having to make difficult choices down the road, and I liked the conversation that they shared -- it really helped make this episode seem a little better. To me, it's one of the few clunkers of this season. The last scene left me with a pretty bad taste in my mouth, too. I understand Clark giving up on Pete, in spite of his apology, and walking away, but it still felt like a really messed up end to a rather uninspired episode... *sigh* Moving on, please? :lol:

"And I consider it despicable, immoral, and possibly illegal." :lol: Chloe's lines were excellent! "What do you say we make a break for the fire escape?" Ha! Probably WOULD have been safer in the long run. Do you think Lionel set that up as a test -- rigging the elevator to do what it did, hoping Clark would do something? Alicia is really cute, I've gotta say...

And Pa Kent thinks that his 'little arrangement' with Jor-el is why his heart gave out, but he doesn't regret his decision. I honestly think, that at the time, AI Jor-el needed some kind of energy...after all it's main power source (the fortress) wasn't available...and he took some from Jonathan. Or maybe not...who knows?:confused:

This was a really nice scene! I loved the way they followed them into the school, and explained Alicia's powers the way they did. It was cool to have Clark knowing the truth about someone and being able to share his secret with them -- it gave him a taste of what was to come with other leading ladies in his life later on down the road.
