Nice work, L.
How could I not mention one of the three greatest fights in SV History - the Chlana cat-fight at SV High in Delete??? Can't wait for the "killing Chloe Sullivan" moment. :rotfl:
Up there for awesomeness with the Clark-Titan fight in Combat and the Clark-Zod fight in Salvation. :D

Come on people, man up!!!! 5 minutes to go. :)
Do we need to consider bringing the slot forward an hour or 2??
No need to make it earlier; that would actually be harder to be here for. I just need to get more sleep during the week! Working on about 4 hours a night this week, and I am WAY too old for that! :)

DELETE, here we gooo!
Oww!! Chloe leaving the Daily Planet. :( And reaaally loved the 'Lois Lane' bit. "She's my cousin, she won't mind at all. She's not interested in journalism." Well, actually in a deleted scene from Hex Lois tells Chloe that her little cous' was her inspiration to get into journalism (Lois' first article was in "Façade"). Chlo-Lo are awesome!

"Clark doesn't know what he wants". I hope this doesn't come the wrong way, but in Clark's defense (pro-Clark fan speaking here), I'm pretty sure Lana never knew what she wanted either, or probably she was confused too or whatever, but it went both ways with those two about 'not knowing what they wanted'. No one else but Clark and Lana are the ones to blame for their disfunctional relationship and the way it developed (or the lack of such development).

I swear I've seen the actress playing Molly Griggs, in 'Rookie Blue' too (I think). "Clark must've really messed with your head" lol Good one, Adam! But actually, I think that Lana was as guilty as Clark in that one.

Who is that? A CW suit?
Dawn Ostroff was the head of the CW and was more concerned with turning the network into a girly teenybopper network (e.g. Gossip Girl and 90210) than supporting shows like Smallville and Supernatural. A complete witch.

"It's not the kind of technology you pick up at Radioshack" Clark's so cute!! :D "I can see how strong you are, then for some stupid reason you retreat into this hurt-little-girl façade, it’s ridiculous." That was a beautiful opening sequence, indeed. I LOVED it. "100 Years" is one of my all-time favorite songs, and I learned to play it on the piano. The scenery was really stunning as well, and Jordan Cross is one of my favorite characters. I'm starting to feel better already!
I wonder who that guy is by Lana's bedside, too. It did foreshadow the fact that Clark gave her back the clear kryptonite necklace, as shown in "Requiem."

That vision of Lana as an old woman dying peacefully (with her necklace, kryptonite free) is great and sweet. I mean, I'm not sure if at the moment of planning that arc with Lana wearing the Prometheus suit on S8, the TPTB did a little bit of comic research about kryptonite and it's repercussion on humans by prolonged radiation or absorption -apparently they didn't or they forgot, because if they did, they would've known that kryptonite is poisonous to humans and it can kill them-, so even if I am a Clark and Lois fan (although I always focused in Clark’s story first and foremost as a fan, the couple comes in a sweet close second), I can't help but feel sorry about how Lana ended her story on SV. Her entire plan of stealing the suit with all the great perks (being able to take care of herself, and stop feeling like a victim -her words, not mine-), good intentions and being able to help Clark as super powered partners, backfired her. Basically, she's walking kryptonite. Thank God that Daily Planet newspaper that was shown in 'Homecoming', later kinda solved the mistery of Lana coming back (sadly was via offscreen) to me, because in the end she became Lexcorp's CEO (I highly recommend you to read it...some caritative SV fans uploaded it on the net ;)).

12-16-2011, 09:51 PM
Poor Megan... She did a really good job with a pretty small role. That being said, it wasn't such a great idea for her to say all that without being sure that the guy was asleep. Knowing the dude was suicidal should've maybe clued her in that he wasn't at all in his right mind. Scariness...
----- Added 1 Minutes later -----
The cape! THE CAAAAAAAAPE!!!!!!!! That moment was absolutely fantastic. This was another great episode showing Clark bonding with a younger person -- it had some of the same vibes as the bond he had with Ryan James, with some differences of course, but still, I like how inspiring he always is.

12-16-2011, 09:53 PM
It has to be really hard for Jordan to see that kind of things about people. He's a good boy with a pure heart. Trying to stop Mr. Altman from committing suicide, the same as Clark. "It's hard when you blame yourself for everything that happened." Boy, does Clark know what he's talking about, or what? :rotfl:
What if Justin's vision of Clark was being killed by Doomsday-like in the comics?
"Smallville High is rarely that exciting. Last week, one student tried to kill another with an ax, but that's normal."

"I can read an invoice." Oh, really?? Wow, that is high on my list of Lex's most impressive talents. He's already being highly protective of Lana. Re-watching these episodes through the lens of what goes down between this pairing in the future, I have to wonder how much of what Lex doing is because he genuinely cares, and how much of it is with ulterior motives.

Nice move, Chloe -- on the case and with a major clue! I love it when she plays detective. :) Annnnnd she's got coffee -- classic Chlark on SO many levels.
I'm proud of Jordan for stepping in yet again to try to make a difference, although taking exactly the wrong tactic if he'd hoped to not freak her out. But the dude has awesome acting chops in that scene. BTW, anyone see the girl in the pink coat when Clark runs up to Jordan? She was grinning like she was staring at a happy moment. :rotfl:

"Like you don't have an end like normal people. It's like you live forever..." Great shades of "Hourglass!" Powerful, gripping, and very cool scene in which Jordan is one of the first to recognize and point toward Clark's ultimate future destiny.
Can't believe I'm saying this halfway through a really good ep, but I have got to get some sleep! See everyone next week!

It was good of Chloe to tell Lana the truth, even though it was difficult for her to do so.
The Adam and Lex scene is pretty tense, but the piano music was AWESOME. I wonder if that was really Ian Somerhalder playing.
For someone who never had the patience for the piano, Lex was pretty good in later episodes. :)
Being forced to play all night in Spell was probably good practice!

If you HAVE black marks in your past, dude, Lex is definitely gonna find them.
Mr. Cross is extremely over-protective, not that I don't understand why he is... It's another nice way of paralleling Clark's & Jonathan's relationship with Jordan's and his father's.
Are we SURE Jordan doesn't have super speed along with future-death-sight abilities? :p

Good night MrsK, sweet dreams! :D
Aww! Look at Clark being friendly with Jordan. "Like you don't have an end like other people." Ok, I'm the kind of fan that believes that Clark ages veeery slowly and can die of old age (kryptonian age). Personally I don't like the idea of Clark being immortal. And lol because the sheriff always gets Clark caught at the wrong moment, and he then becomes a suspect.

NIGHT, MrsK -- always a pleasure re-watching with you!
Chloe is SO awesome. And fearless. It was quite bold of her to sneak in and investigate. Maybe she was also scoping it out as a potential living space for herself in several future seasons. She found the blood platelet cocktail!!! Way to go, Chloe!!!!

Clark always takes such personal responsibility for everything, doesn't he? Another admirable trait on his part, even though it's a big headache in the long run. And it's a good thing that he did that, anyway, since it meant he was able to help Jordan, Lana, and Megan.

Oh...Lana touched Jordan's shoulder and he saw her fate changed. Interesting.
"Well, he was better off before he met me." Story of your life, Clark. Always feeling guilty. *sigh* And then Clark makes a super save and changes fate, one more time. Again, Jordan saw something 'special' about Clark.

What a crazy creepazoid. Doesn't he realize that doing this is not only NOT going to bring his daughter back, but is also going to deprive two families of someone they dearly care about? Not to mention their friends, etc...
Now he doesn't feel responsible for his daughter's death. How is being responsible for 2 more deaths going to make him feel better. I know he's going to go up with the house, but still.

This was a really nice scene between Clark, Jordan, and Lana. Angst-free, friendly... nice. Except for the little twist at the end though, which was a NICE twist, by the way. I remember spending quite a bit of time trying to figure out what it meant afterwards.

"You can't save everybody." Probably one of the things that torments Clark in every incarnation of this character. Oh, Ma Kent's cookies look yummy...totally understandable that Clark would be finished with them in a flash, if he was given the chance to eat them all! OMG, Pa Kent's heart, noooo! *has really bad memories about what happens later, in 'Reckoning'* :(
Good night everyone, sweet dreams! It was a great re-watch!:D

Jonathan (and the cookies)! Nooooooooooooooo! Big cliffhanger!

This was a good and important conversation for Clark to have with his mom. She gave him good advice, and he was reminded that he can't decide who he lets live and die. He has a responsibility to save and protect everyone with his powers if he has the opportunity to do so.
This scene was SO scary. Poor Jonathan... Left me reeling!

P.S. That's also a horrible waste of a perfectly good set of chocolate chip cookies. :( :p
I like that Jonathan had the chance to say he loved Clark -- I wish he'd been able to do that in his actual death in "Reckoning."
I hadn't realized this, but this is exactly 2 seasons before Jonathan dies of a heart attack in Clark's arms on the farm. (Season 3, Episode 12 and Season 5, Episode 12)

It was a scene I rather forgot to be honest. I never was a fan of the whole Johnathon has heart troubles in Season 3 storyline. The scene could have easily been resolved if Johnathon just grabbed a piece of Green K and hunted Clark down in Exile, but that would be to easy and smart and not create "drama".
On a side note I am surprised nobody mentioned one of my favorite scenes from Delete(due to it being unintentionally funny). To this day I always get a chuckle out of how amazed Chloe is by the way Adam can hack into a simple database(given her becoming the world's greatest hacker in 2 seasons).
Sorry I missed the last half of Hereafter! I definitely needed the sleep, though! :)
Good night MrsK, sweet dreams! :D

And lol because the sheriff always gets Clark caught at the wrong moment, and he then becomes a suspect. At least this time Clark isn't actually the suspect; Jordan is - still, they are "caught" by Sheriff Adams thanks to Clark...
And Adam gets real angry with Lana. That's not suspicious - much.
I guess it does raise her suspicions, since she takes her concerns to Lex... Not the best idea if the idea is for him to stay under the radar and spy on Lana and Clark!
It was good of Chloe to tell Lana the truth, even though it was difficult for her to do so.
True. And nice that Lana believed her - at least enough to ask Adam about it. As opposed to later, when she refused to hear anything anyone told her about Lex...
The Adam and Lex scene is pretty tense, but the piano music was AWESOME. I wonder if that was really Ian Somerhalder playing. No idea, but it was a really good scene. Lex sure was thorough in his background check - even talking with all of Adam's teachers!
If you HAVE black marks in your past, dude, Lex is definitely gonna find them. So true! And yet it takes him 7 seasons to figure out Clark's secret...
"You said you'd always be honest with me. Why not now?" She has the right to be upset, but...Yep. Lana has a thing with secrets, lies, trust, and honesty. Definitely!
Mr. Cross is extremely over-protective, not that I don't understand why he is... It's another nice way of paralleling Clark's & Jonathan's relationship with Jordan's and his father's. As seen in the very nice scene in the barn between Clark and Jonathan. Love Jonathan's honesty about how hard it was to let Clark go and have a (relatively) normal life.
Are we SURE Jordan doesn't have super speed along with future-death-sight abilities? :p Sure seemed like it when he ran off from Megan's house! How'd he disappear so fast?
Mr. Altman sure turned dark. "I think I'll fry these girls along with myself."
What a crazy creepazoid. Doesn't he realize that doing this is not only NOT going to bring his daughter back, but is also going to deprive two families of someone they dearly care about? Not to mention their friends, etc...
Clearly not in his right mind. Which also led to the suicide attempt.
Great slowmo shot of Clark saving Jordan. Yep! :)
Look at the hope lighting up Jordan's face as he realizes that not only is he going to be okay but he is free of the burden of his powers. So Clark saved him in more ways than one! :)
This was a really nice scene between Clark, Jordan, and Lana. Angst-free, friendly... nice. Except for the little twist at the end though, which was a NICE twist, by the way. I remember spending quite a bit of time trying to figure out what it meant afterwards. Me, too! I don't like how quickly Adam changed from a nice guy to a total creep, though. Same thing happened in S4 with Jason (then it was because Jensen Ackels got the SPN part and they had to shorten what was originally intended to be a 2-season arc - I wonder if something similar happened with Ian Somerholder...)
Definitely some good advice from Martha, and Clark actually seems to hear it...
I like that Jonathan had the chance to say he loved Clark -- I wish he'd been able to do that in his actual death in "Reckoning." I heard John Schneider say in an interview that they did film that scene with some dialog between him and both Martha and Clark, and he did get to tell CLark he loved him, but they ultimately thought it was more powerful if he didn't speak.
"Make sure at least a couple of them make it to the barn?"
Jonathan (and the cookies)! Nooooooooooooooo! Big cliffhanger!
P.S. That's also a horrible waste of a perfectly good set of chocolate chip cookies. :( :p :lol:What a cliffhanger! When I first watched S3 it was already on DVD, and I remember being glad I could go right to the next ep to see what happened!:)
On a side note I am surprised nobody mentioned one of my favorite scenes from Delete(due to it being unintentionally funny). Looking forward to next week, and Velocity and Obsession. I will definitely try to be awake for both. Velocity isn't the greatest ep, but it should be interesting to comment on, and I am really looking forward to Obsession. Alicia Baker was a really good character, and Clark learned a lot thanks to her.

- First Lois Lane reference!
- TOYMAN! Oh wait...
- "Brainwave"... cool name
- CHLOE/LANA B*TCHFIGHT! Best fight of the series next to Clark/Jonathan.
- Ah Dr Garner... no comment
- I really like the Adam storyline.
- What kind of an email is that? lol
- Is this the first appearance of the Talon apartment?
- Good song... and spooky ending with Lex and Garner
HEREAFTER
- Love this opening song!
- Sucks to know Lana won't die anytime soon... haha
- First sign of Adam's side effects with the nightmare?
- How hard can it be to keep someone in your sights for that short amount of time? lol Jordan...
- I remember hearing somewhere that this was one of the biggest explosions of the series.
- Naw I hate this final scene :( I really thought this was it for Jonathan.
