I am so sad I mean I'm sure I'll be happy when the new Superman movie comes out and the movies in between i.e. Green Lantern, Dark Knight Rises etc but I'm gonna miss having this show to watch. I'll only have Young Justice for my superhero fix its such a shame. Smallville is also my favourite show ever thats why I'm hoping for a Conner Kent spin off.

I'm kind of happy it's the last. Everything has to come to an end eventually, and better for it to go out in a planned ending that they have a year to build to, rather than sputter out due to poor ratings and never getting a proper conclusion. People will argue that this season hasn't been stellar, and I'm among them but I think we all just had far too high of expectations. Either way, I've really enjoyed the ride and I have seen some great highlights from this season. I've been watching this show for quite literally half of my life now so I will be sad that it's over, but I'm ready to see how it concludes.

Thats actually a really good point. I hate when shows end with no real ending because they were cancelled. We are lucky that its made it ten seasons and has a planned ending for sure.

It will be very strange not to count the moments to a new ep, but everything must come to an end. I want to see Clark embrace his destiny, not be teased ad infinum. I think TW is already older than Chris was when he first played Supes....and Tom is still being portrayed as the yet-to-be super hero. Sad, yes, but still anxious for the finale.

Smallville has always been my security blanket, but after these past couple seasons I have mixed feelings. Im sad to say im a little bit relieved that its ending because of what they have done to the show. I want it to end before they completely screw it up. But im still going to miss it like crazy! Ive actually missed the show since season 7, it went downhill after that so I guess you can say im already missing Smallville.

Anywho, Ive watched this show for 10 years since the pilot, and its been my favorite show since then so of course Im sad its ending! Heres hoping the last few episodes make up for this disaster of a season!

I'm not scared to death exactly about Smallville's conclusion or indeed that this is the final hiatus ever for the show. I have plenty of other shows that will probably still air in the 2011/2012 season (90210, One Tree Hill) and I'm currently watching through the season one box set of The OC for the first time with three more seasons to go after that!

I admit that there is a different feeling regarding Smallville for me considering that is ending. I am feeling that this is it. But I think this feeling will only fully hit me when the final two episodes come to air to be honest.

Right now, I'm feeling kind of indifferent. Last year if it was ending, I would have been pretty sad about it, but I feel like I've already started to move on from it over the course of season 10. I hardly even noticed it went on hiatus this time.

I'm fully expecting the finale to hit me because it should be big and filled with emotion, but right now, I'm cool as cucumber. :)

Same. My feelings are mixed as well. I'm so excited to see Clark become Superman, but I don't want the show to end. It's so difficult.

...and I also want to do my part in celebrating the show... so I just started a blog, and my first post is going to be dedicated to my love for the show. (it's just a general thoughts, kind of blog... but since the show occupies a large portion of my brain, I think this will be appropriate.) I want to leave a mark as well.

Mostly, though, I'm just glad I was part of this site. To not have anyone to talk to about this show would have been torture. I'm glad I have had at least that... I know we don't always agree on how things unfold, but to not have anyone to discuss the events with would have broken my heart. I am positive I will never have an experience like this again. I like other shows, but this takes the cake in terms of how much affection I have for a televised program.

For the hiatus itself, it's just an extra hour to play catch-up with other things.

For the end of the series, which is what I think you're really asking about, I'm in the group that chose mixed emotions. For the most part, it's been a hell of a ride. I loved watching how Clark grew from an awkward teenager to the moral man who is Superman. I loved, in years past, watching Lex devolve from a moral young man to the sinister villain of legend. And now I'm on the edge of my seat wondering how Rosenbaum's Lex will be brought in for that last show, and if we'll get a great iconic Superman image for that last shot. Truth be told, I have great fear TPTB will botch that in Biblical proportions. I pray they prove me wrong.

I thought I would be sadder. I used to really love Smallville. Sadly I haven't enjoyed season 10 as much as I thought I would which is unfortunate. I think it's time to move on for the actors as well as for me.

This is the unfortunate reality of TV seasons in this day and age. Used to be (take original Star Trek for example) 39 eps to a season, and except for a holiday special pre-empting the show, or a political special, the series ran continuously. I'm sure the excuse nowadays is the cost of production, how they can't afford more than 22 eps to a season, and the need to stretch it from Sept to May (except for HBO and Starz-type shows...The Sopranos went 12 to a season, True Blood isn't much longer, Spartacus-Gods of the Arena was 6 eps....). You mean the networks (even the evil CW) don't rake in the cash almost as fast as oil companies? Oh, right Sheen wanted $3million/ep :D It's definitely an annoyance having 4 new eps, 5 weeks off, 5 new eps, 7 weeks off, etc. etc. S10 just started, and when it comes back there's 4 more to the series, then the finale! It in itself is a blur....season's practically over (series, too) and it just started!

I'm a fan of old 50s westerns, and doing research I see The Lone Ranger (Clayton Moore rocked! Never mind the season with John Hart, though) ran 52 eps in a year!!!! Granted if you're a fan of that show you see some stock footage re-used again and again, but they presented a new show every week of the year!!!! Wow, imagine that!

I'll be sad to see SV go, and the realization will truly hit as we do go back into the final 4 eps leading to the finale, but I've said (as others agree) S10 has been a mixed bag. I expected much more intensity than we've seen to date. There's been some good eps, but this is their last hurrah for cryin' out loud!

I'm ready for it to be over, honestly. But then, everytime I think that, they have an episode that just makes me want to see more of what they showed me.

It's ok, though, this is just the journey and it has to end at some point! :lol: Even at their worst, in seasons 8 and 9, I just wasn't ready for it to be over. The show didn't feel over yet. But now, I'm ready for it to all wrap up. :D

While I do realize that it has to end and that it did go for more years than expected, I just wish they could have changed the name and somehow have it go on in a somewhat different format. I am SO going to miss seeing this show! I'm also sad knowing my dear sister won't get to see the finale, having just unexpectedly passed recently. Guess we'll have to watch for our fave actors in other endeavors! AM was seen in a SciFi movie and looked fabulous. I'm sure the others will go on to other projects. Really am curious to see how they are going to end it! Long live SV on DVD!

I feel the same way! It's not gonna be tough to say bye to this show that has lasted so long and has been so great to us as fans, maybe not all time though :P But I'm surely gonna miss it. And I'm definitely gonna watch what the actors are gonna do afterwards.
