With Smallville coming to a end on TV, would ppl actually like it if DC continued the story the same way Buffy The Vampire Slayer got a season 8 (and soon a season 9), through the comics?
With Clark obviously becoming Superman and Smallville being its own timeline and what not, would anyone like to continue to see where these versions of the characters go after the TV show ends? I would :)

Im actually trying to write a post SV story and draw it, but ID *LOVE* for DC to do that!!!!
Or what would be really cool mabey an animated DC EPIC? The SV cast could do the voices? SUPERMAN YEAR 1!! They could mabey do CGI like the DC Universe video game movies? Thats a good idea!

I can imagine Bryan Miller writing since he writes for the show and writes Batgirl at DC and Pere Perez as the artist they have worked together and Perez never seems to have a permanent job but just fills in for writers. A limited series or original graphic novel would be good to capitalize with SV fans with issues or chapters released online as well day and date for those who may not know where comic shops are or do not know where else to go.

That would be great if Smallville continued on in comic form. It worked for Buffy and Angel, I can't see why it couldn't work for Smallville. I would buy it.

I would dig a Smallville comic book continuation! These are my favourite versions of the Superman characters in modern media and I would love to see more of their adventures after Smallville has finished.

If there ever was a Smallville comic I am sure it will be online at comixology.com which has been posting many of DC comics' recent projects that involve other media the same day as they are put in the store.

hey whatever works :) if were not getting a TV season of Clark as Superman give it to us in the comics......best part of that is now they can cross them into the main stream storylines and Superman can have a look at the Smallville universe and give us his opinion of it lol

So far, I am the only one who has voted for "other". I love comic books, but Smallville continuing as a comic book sounds lame to me, particularly if itsa Superman continuation. I wanted TW as Superman in a TV series. A comic book would be redundant. An animated series could have been tolerable but STILL...a huge dissapointment. Particularly if Clark flies only for like ten seconds! But, perhaps, a TV movie after he has become Superman? Yeah i know, not gonna happen! But one can dream...

I think a comic would be a good way to keep Smallville alive if a spin off isn't done.

Season 10 is dying -- once it breathes it's last, let it be buried for once & all. :o
Give it a few years and let some fresh ideas continue the Superman mythos, LESS the current personnel...

I tell you what I hope happens:
I hope if they do maybe an episode of an animated series or a comic story where someone travles to an alternate universe that one of them is the Smallville world that would be brilliant.

I don't know. It have to be really good in order to work. I mean really good. I think a novel series would be better. You can go a lot more with that. Comic books are cool and all, but can be limited to how much you can put into it.

If they can manage to get something out and have it be good then yeah I'd be all for it. Maybe start with a mini series.

GUYS. GREAT NEWS. IT TURNS OUT, THERE IS A COMIC BOOK CONTINUATION OF SMALLVILLE!
Word has it, it's called SUPERMAN!
Best parts: Lois is Lois. Lex is regularly featured and almost always bald. Batman and Wonder Woman are allowed to be in it. No Chloe. Shelby is still being ignored. Ollie loves Dinah. Doomsday is awesome, and doesn't work for Metro General. Lana is irrelevant and unhappy.

I thought KK said that Lana has no place in Smallville as it is?
Therefore, for her, Lana is dead, therefore NO pulse, and NO soul:p

Bring back the brain-dead Lana clone. She was the best Lana on the show.
Very end of the show briefly shows Clark, who has decided not to battle Darkseid, having a tea party on the Kent Farm. Seated at the table are Clark, Shelby, the Fate Helmet, and the dead Lana clone.
Clark: More tea, Lana?
Yeah. Think about that before you sleep at night...

Well, the producers said, in an interview when asked about it, that DC Comics was planning in continuing SV in a Comic Book. I would love to see those 7 years between Clark first public appearance as Superman and the flash forward we saw in the end. :)
It would be great to see, for a change, a Superman art who isn't based on Chris Reeve and Margot Kidder. :p I mean, nothing against those actors, but I don't like Comics based on them.

I want to see a Smallville comic series again that would take place after the Finale. I just hope the art resembles the SV actors. They should let Bryan Miller do the writing since he's one of the SV writers and writes Batgirl comics.

the comic would have to begin with what we saw in the finale and go from there. I don't want another, going back to Smallville series.

I would love to see what happens in the 7 yr gap in the finale, ending with Lois and Clark's wedding.

WELL, I think that the whole 7 yr gap thing is a great idea, though, I think they should go past that too. I think a cool comic book would be Homecoming from either Future Clark or Future Lois' point of view.

As long as he's the only one from the SV writing cast and I think even that is too much.

Geoff Johns should write it and Gary Frank do the art, The 1st page should be a collage of past important SV scenes and the next page should be the inconic SHIRT RIP from Finale! See where the story goes from there, or him pushing Apoclypse!

I can see Bryan Miller or Geoff Johns writing the Smallville comic. Gary Frank is a great Superman artist, but if he does a Smallville comic I hope the version of Clark resembles Tom Welling and not Christopher Reeve.
They could do two things - set the comics during the 10th season so that they can show us the full version of their stories or set it after the finale when he first flew and wore the suit.

No. It wouldn't get great sales and would end up bleeding money as an ongoing title. Even as as mini series it wouldn't do great.

I disagree. If a comic based on Batman Beyond, a cartoon that ended nearly ten years ago, can sell well enough to warrant a secondary title (in the form of Superman Beyond), then chances are that a comic based on Smallville - a live-action TV show that ended very recently - would do fairly well too.

I think it would be great if they did a handful of TV movies over the years. Other shows have done that after they went off the air and were really successful with it. Putting out one every few years would give everyone more than a chance to do other things with their careers and still build off of what Smallville brought to the table. Realistically I don't see this happening unfortunately, but it is still cool to think about.
