Seems kind of generic... like he's not acknowledging that people did tune out... and that the strike was a challenge even they could not return from. Kring's a good guy, I think, despite any criticism, and I know he tried.
I don't really like the "well people watched it illegally" argument either, because if people are doing that, that's not revenue for NBCUniversal. What is fact, though, is how well Heroes sold on DVD... people just stopped watching or caring on a weekly basis. Too bad.
I get a little nostalgic thinking about how great and vibrant Heroes was in Season 1... it's really the reason I quit 9thWonders and did HeroSite... maybe that show will exist again someday. Actually, I'm sure it will.
