Okay--I know some places have them but I haven't found particulary great quality. I have a DVD player with my PC. Do I need special equipment to do screen captures or is there a way to do it since I have the player already built in? If so how would I? Thanks :)

I asume you want just an episode capture and not your eniter computer screen. You most likely need a capture program. Don't know if there are any free ones. I've used SnatchIt. And you need a tv card attached to your computer.

I got a free one and every time I save something, as soon as I turn the DVD off the saved image goes black. Is it supposed to do that??

Uh, don't really know. What screen capture program. I know that I have a problem with 5 Clicks when trying to take a capture off a DVD playing on Windows Media.

The weird thing about DVDs is that what you see on your screen is actually NOT on your screen (I know it's weird, don't ask me to explain it cuz I couldn't) so when you do a normal screencapture it will only show black. On my Mac, I love DVDCapture, but I'm not sure what's out there for Windows.

What DVD software do you use?
My drive came with PowerDVD 4.0 which allows me to pause a movie and capture a frame in .BMP format which can easily be converted to .jpeg for uploading. The limit for KS is 102400 bytes.
My friend uses WinmDVD but I don't know if this has the same facility
