oh, I loved Anya up till the last season. I so wanted to deck her after she told Buffy they werent friends in Get It Done, and then was out right rude rest of the season. The potentials slayers really out shadowed the Scoobies, so everytime Anya talked it was insulting. That's one of my beefs about the last season.

You know I totally forgot about that...I was just reminiscing of the earlier seasons...She was evil to them wasn't she. Oh and that Buffy scene, right. Ok...you're right. I'm coming over to kicking Anya to the curb. :D

The Prom is one of my favorite Bangel episode. Heck, its my all time favorite Prom episode ever. I just love Jonathan's speech to Buffy:
Jonathan: This is actually a new category. First time ever. I guess there were a lot of write-in ballots, and, um, the prom committee asked me to read this. "We're not good friends. Most of us never found the time to get to know you, but that doesn't mean we haven't noticed you. We don't talk about it much, but it's no secret that Sunnydale High isn't really like other high schools. A lot of weird stuff happens here."

Crowd outbursts: Zombies! Hyena people! Snyder! (laughter)

Jonathan: "But, whenever there was a problem or something creepy happened, you seemed to show up and stop it. Most of the people here have been saved by you, or helped by you at one time or another. We're proud to say that the Class of '99 has the lowest mortality rate of any graduating class in Sunnydale history." (applause from the crowd) "And we know at least part of that is because of you. So the senior class, offers its thanks, and gives you, uh, this."
Jonathan produces a multicolored, glittering, miniature umbrella with a small metal plaque attached to the shaft.
Jonathan: It's from all of us, and it has written here, "Buffy Summers, Class Protector."
The crowd breaks into sustained applause and cheering

and we have the Wedding dream that made David so handsome and Sarah so pretty. I cried when Buffy got the award, and I loved the Synder reference in it.

I have a question, I've been watching BtVS for a little which now, I watch the older episodes (I started wating when the episode before Oz left), I watch two episodes every weekend and then at lanch time everyday watch newer episodes, (when Buffy is fighting the First, I think it's near the end of the show). Any way I know that's a messed up way to find to watch the show but I end up messing most of the episodes at lunch time due to calving and other cow related jobs.

Any way my question is What's Buffy's deal?

I've been watching the begining of Angel when Buffy came to L.A and had her one day of happiness before they lost it and she forgot about it. So I know she has stong feelings for Angel, but Today on BtVS (epsidoes where she fighting the First) she and Spike where really lovey with each other, he told her that just holding her and watching her sleep was the best night he even had, and she said "same here" and then at the end of the episode Angel shows up and they kiss passionly as poor Spike watchs in the shadows and the First says "what a b***h!" to him. It was like she just forgot about Spike the minute Angel walked into the room.

Does she love Angel more? Or does she just get lose in her passion for Angel but still really loves Spike. I know they both love her and want to be with her. And I was just wondering what Buffy wants? Who she loves more? Wants to be with more, if she could be with one?

Thanks for any answers you can give me. Sorry if what I had to say is comfusing.

I think you'll have to watch the whole series and make that decision for yourself. This is something that could be argued and argued and argued and you get the point. I always thought she loved Angel more, but I like the idea of ***Angel: Spoiler*** Angel and Cordy. So I want Buffy to be with Spike.

I don't know if you've seen Angel, so I put the spoiler tag up there.

We can't really ever understand how Buffy's mind really works, but I always stand by the opinion she loved Angel more than anyone, or you could say Angel was her only 'true' love.

I mean, her relationship with Riley ended but she DID try to salvage it, she was just to late. Spike was just sex to start with, but after a while it did seem that some feelings grew, I liked the final line between them though. 'I love you', 'No you don't, but thanks for saying it'. It sums up that she never really LOVED him, but she did have some sort of feelings.

It seems whenever Angel comes along everything else is put aside, sure she will be in other relationships, and I guess it is possible to love other people, but her final words with Angel sum up her true feelings in a way. She can't be with him right now, not until she has reached a certain stage in her life and she is ready. Same with Angel to, he fell in love with Cordelia, but in the end I don't think either of them can move on completely, I always liked to think they would end up with eachother one day, but now the show is over it's all in our minds to guess if they ever do get back together.

I think based on what both of them have said, in the end it makes sense that they would be with eachother again one day, but who knows. They love eachother eternally, but sadly it seems as if there are always things keeping them from being together. I don't think it matters to much whether they see eachother, sleep with eachother, or are in a relationship, I think it is pretty clear that they love eachother more than any other relationships they have been in.

Well, I the questions you asked actually has never been answered. Its interpretative to the viewer. They never answered this question. I agree with Greenshady you need to watch the entire series. Doing that will allow you to understand her character more, and you can come to your own conclusion.

Basically there is a reason why she was with Spike. In season five her mom died from natural causes, Riley left and Buffy did blame herself for it, and her sister was the all powerful key she swore to protect. In the end Buffy died as a scarfice for her sister. She died for her and the world. The Scoobies couldnt take her gone, so Willow used to dark magic and brought her back. However, it was a catalyst for Buffy's depression. Buffy was brought back to life in her own coffin, and she had to dig herself out of. She saw her grave, and she thought she was brought to hell. Buffy tells Spike later that she wasnt in hell like the Scoobies thought she was, but in heaven. She was comforted, warm, safe, and with her mother :(. The Scoobies took her away from that. Thus beginning her depression and numbness with the world.

Spike was there for Buffy, but Spike found out that his chip no longer works on Buffy. He was basically a soulless vampire that can hurt again. With Buffy's depression and Spike's revelation they began a dark, sexual, destructive relationship. Buffy was bad to Spike. Spike was bad to Buffy. Spike saw the very worse of Buffy whereas Angel never did. However, Spike was there for her when the Scoobies were not because they didnt want to be reminded that they messed up by bringing her back. Spike went to get his soul for her as compared to Angel being cursed with one. In the last season, Buffy was very uneasy with Spike. It took several episodes to feel comfortable with him. The First basically manlipulated everyone to turn away from Buffy, but Spike never did. The Scoobies tried to tell Buffy Spike shouldnt be trusted, but Buffy didnt listen to them. The whole entire last season Buffy and Spike they were building their trust between each other. Their trust is what enabled them to win in the last episode.

With the kiss to Angel. You come with your interpretation. I see as she hasnt seen him in over a year, and there he pops up. Who wouldnt kiss him. Angel represented Buffy at another in her life. Just Spike represents represented another time in Buffy's life. In Chosen we saw her kiss Angel, and cuddle with Spike. Notice how she didnt choose, but that both our in her heart. Angelfire, I would recommend you see all the series so you can see her relationship with Angel and the differences with the relationship Spike. Those questions you ask you make your own conclusion.

I see it that I rather have her with Spike. He seen the worse and best in Buffy whereas Angel never has. And he still loves her.

I agree totally Summers. The fact that Spike potentially sacrificed his unlife to win a soul for Buffy was something I believe Angelus would never have done...no matter how long he could have known her. He gave of himself to make himself better for her. Their relationship wouldn't ever be considered Harlequin romance but it contained a love that was worth giving up everything for.

Yea, that's how I see. Angelus wasnt like William the Bloody. They were very different on how they view things in as soulless vampires. That's one of the reasons why I love Spike more in that aspect. I do love Angelus as a villian as compared to Spike though. To me Buffy/Angel was like the Romeo and Juliet of the two series, and Spike/Buffy were basically two relationships. The destructive, and at time unspoken relationships people in our society have....this was season 6. In the last season they represented the trust, non-physical relationship that was very mature as compared to Buffy/Angel. They are two completely different relationships. Spike grew with Buffy, and Buffy also grew as a person too. To even acknowledge the fact of her dark side is a great leap. In season 3 she was in denial of it, and now she cant no longer deny it. Its part of her that was the slayer. The slayerness really effects a girl...I mean look at Nikki Wood.

Thanks guys:) I can't wait to watch the whole series, and see for myself. Right now I'm thinking she more into Angel, but I want her to be with Spike more because of a few reasons, one I they they go better together and I think Spike really does love her more then Angel. He went and got a soul for her, the best night of his life was just being with her, not having sex.

I haven't gotten that far in Angel yet:eek: I can't wait to see how that plays out, and how they get together in the first place, because right now, in season 1 I can't see it happening.

lol what's great there is no right or wrong to your conclusions Angelfire. On this topic Joss and the writers purposely made it that way for the viewers to come to their own conclusions. That's why it was never resolved on Angel Season 5.

Once see BtVS S1-7, and Angel 1-5 you can go all out. You can come to your own conclusions from the facial expressions to the events. One facial expression that many people bring up(including me) was the look Spike has when he first see's Buffy dancing in the Bronze in season 2. Many people think Spuffy began right at that instance without Buffy even knowing it.

Snake_Corda

Spuffy and Snuffy both sound funny, poor Buffy everybody goes your names really Buffy?!? I love how they show people going kind of "what?!" when they hear her name, both when Oz was still around and when Buffy found out what that tool she had was to be used to fight the first. IT's like a joke that never gets old. After 7 season's is the joke old to you guys?

Summers
03-23-2005, 12:30 PM
kidding me....no. I couldnt stop laughing when the Guardian asked her name, and when Buffy tells her its "Buffy"..the Guardian replies 'No really". I still cant get of enough of that joke. There are many continuous jokes they bring up. You'll hear the joke again by Spike in season 4 about how unclassy the name "Buffy" was. Or Willow "arent you naturally buff Buff" lol. I still think its funny because its such an unusual name.

Its funny when they put the Faith/Buffy on the Net it turns to Fuffy

SPIKE MOVIE NEWS FROM JOSS! Thanks to tvguide.com:

Question: Are we getting any closer to a Spike movie? — Heather

Ausiello: Based on my conversations with both Whedon and WB entertainment president David Janollari last Thursday, it certainly sounds like we are. When I asked Janollari if he had given any further thought to the Spike telepic I pitched him at press tour in January, he said, "I have given it more thought since you brought it up. It's certainly something that I continue to get many fan letters and e-mails about, and it's something that we discuss a lot around here. But no decision has been made." Well, literally 15 minutes after I hung up with Janollari, Whedon called to weigh in on a William the Bloody revival. "I'm really for it, but I have never really spoken to David Janollari," he said. "I occasionally would bring it up with [execs at 20th Century] Fox, and they'd be like, 'Yeah, that would be cool.' And I'm like, 'Who do we need to talk to?' And then nothing has really happened. I've been really busy in post [-production] on Serenity and haven't been able to get the wheels turning, but I definitely intend to investigate it." When I relayed to him that Janollari had just told me that he was open to the idea, Whedon responded, "Well, that's something that I hope to get a chance to pursue." And what about his Wonder Woman commitment? Wouldn't that further delay things? "[Spike] is not necessarily something that I would write and direct myself," he suggested. "I have a lot of brilliant friends who worked with me for many years who might be able to take the helm — somebody who both James [Marsters] and I would trust." Whedon also revealed that the Spike pic would not be a prequel, thereby alleviating the age-related concerns Marsters recently expressed in Ask Ausiello. "For me, Spike is a very contemporary guy," he said. "It's sort of what distinguished him from Angel." So let me get this straight: Not only did I pitch this movie to Janollari, but I secured the participation of its star and creator. If that's not enough to land me a producing credit, then something's wrong with the system.

I think this thing is about to start rolling. I would of liked Joss to write the movie (he'll be involved in Wonder Woman), but like Joss said there are a lot of talented writers in the Buffyverse.

Wow, lot's of great news today!

I guess they're just reairing Season 2's episodes.

I believe Tru calling is coming back. For the season that viewers did not see yet. But we still don't know if another season will come on after season 2 is done.

I missed how she died, but The guy said she died to save him:). I wish I could watch the episode again. Was the begining really good? Poor Spike, guess that's how he became a grost, I felt bad for him when she said she loved him, and he said 'No you don't, but thanks for saying it'. Poor guy, I love Spike he's so cool.

Actually in the series finale commentary of Chosen the creator said when Buffy said "I love you" she meant it. And when Spike said "No you dont, but thanks for saying it" was his way of saying "I love you too". That is probably my favorite part of the commentary. But you only saw the ending :(...bummer.

Did you see all the potential slayers become slayers? You know the Chosen speech Buffy says that every girl can be a slayer as long as they choose to be. One of the primary themes of the show.

In the beginning its really cool. Caleb knocks out Angel, and then its just Caleb and Buffy duking it out. His eyes are running black liguid. They do a pretty fight, and in the end Buffy uses the scythe to kill Caleb. Let's just she uses her weapon to hurt Caleb his manly area before actually killing him lol.

Angel and her have a conversation about Spike, and her feelings toward him. She says that he is in her heart, but that she isnt really ready for a committment. She says that I need to concentrate on being comfortable with Buffy first. She uses this cute Cookie Dough analogy lol.

Dawn returns with Xander, and her and Buffy have cute sister thing. Which leads to Dawn staying. Spike confronts Buffy about Angel, but in the end of the conversations she gives him the amulet that is only to be wore by a champion. She gives to him acknowledging that she sees him as a champion :D. Later that night The First finally visits Buffy this season. Trying to make her doubt herself. First it took the form of Caleb, then lastly to Buffy saying the only power you have is when you are alive. "You know the drill into every generation a slayer is she alone will face the forces of darkness". That line is significant for the slayer mythology. The First says "alone" how'll you live and die, and that gives Buffy the idea every potential slayer will turn into a slayer. Hence slayer army vs. ubervamps.

So now you can start from the beginning of series with "Welcome To The Hellmouth" Angelfire :D.

Wow thanks, sounds like I missed a really good episode. I caught bits in between moving cows(when i had to come get stuff from the house) and I saw her give the neckless to Spike, but the show was on mute so I didn't know what it was about. I also saw Caleb with the bleed eyes, but nothing after that. SO a big Thanks, now I understadn waht happened, and that she did love Spike:)I'm sad I missed the ending but I'm happy I can watch it all from the begin now:)

I couldn't get over how young everyone looked, Xander looked most like the same age. David was still hot, but I like him a little older, more mature and sexy:D How old was everybody at the time Buffy started? I really liked Willow, and felt so bad for her, Condy was so mean to her. She's nicer on Angel, but then again on Angel is had fallen from being the coolest of the cool, and thought she was being punshed for being so mean in high school but I didn't think she was that bad. funky huh? lol. Yea, that was how Cordy was in the first season. You'll see her evolve some on BtVS, but Angel she took great leaps like you said. I know poor Willow. She really didnt think Buffy would come back, or hang around with her. You are right Xander does has the hots for her. It was funny after noticing her slams into a railing on his skateboard lol. It was "to be continued" so you should be watching "The Harvest" next then. Gee, over here we are in the third season.

How old was everyone? Let's see Sarah was the youngest of cast. When she filmed this episode she just turned 19. Charisma, Aly, and Nick were already in their mid- to late-20s. David was close to 30 years old. He was the oldest besides Tony(Giles) in the cast.

I dont know I always thought David younger was way hotter, than he is now. Its funny I thought when James(Spike) is older he looked hotter than he was younger.

I'm glad Willow found such good friends like Buffy, Giles and others. I know she had Xander but I like her having more firends:) I thought he'd be really hurt when he did that or that Buffy would turn and look. Yeap the Harvest tomorrow unless some one is calving. I can't wait. I found soem Buffy and Angel DVD's in town today, they cost 60 dollors and up. Are there more exarts on them then the Smallville DVDs? Maybe it's because I frist saw David older and am use to it. So how old was he in season 5 of Angel? I think Spike looking hoter when he's older because tehy did the make up better then before.

Hey where's Dawn, I know Buffy's mom dies in a later season and then she came to Sunnydale. IS dawn living with her father in L.A or something?

Okay, this is where it might get a little confusing. There was no Dawn. Dawn doesnt exist. She is a key. At this time she isnt even human, but rather a portal of energy. In season 3 you will see foreshaowing of Dawn coming, and in season 4 a bigger foreshadowing. Monks made Dawn of out Buffy's blood. They gave everyone fake memories of Dawn, and Dawn has fake memories of them when the Monks turned this portal of energy human. They had to disguse her because the insane hellgod Glory needs the key(Dawn) to open hell dimensions in Sunnydale. It will be Buffy's destiny to protect Dawn, and to scarfice her life for her sister and the world. There is no Dawn until season 5.

That maybe confusing, but if you have more questions many of us will be happy to elaborate more. Because you saw the end, and not the beginning hence many questions about Dawn's origin.

I know huh? lol. Its neat though because that's how they set up Dawn. In the beginning of season five it was like she was always here, and all the characters knew her. I remember back on the boards people were like(including me) WTH is going on here. But they always had a crazy person see her, and know she didnt belong. Once that guy called her "Little Miss Muffet" things started to click all the way back to Graduation Day. It was too cool.

exactly. They didnt tell us anything of what was going on with Dawn. I didnt look in the spoilers in those days, but the easiest thing to figure out was "Little Miss Muffet counting down from 7-3-0". Once the crazy man said "Curdes and way" from the rhyme you knew Little Miss Muffet was Dawn, and 730 was 730 Days which equal 2 years. But dang that's all I could figure out. It so cool, but little by little they would give information and let you figure out. Oh, it so cool. Plus they other arcs going at the same time .

Like VB said everybody knew Dawn as Buffy's sister from the fake memories the Monks gave them. They do find out the truth. Giles and Buffy tell them what Dawn is. So in the last season everyone knew Dawn used to be this powerful energy. The Monks were trying to use the energy for good, but the hellgod Glory wanted to use the energy for another reason which would result in Earth's utter destruction.

Who did the monks get Buffy's blood? That was never elaborated. They never told how they got her blood. But we do know that Dawn and Buffy have the same exact blood. Its what they shared. Buffy is more connected to Dawn than Joyce Summers. They never showed us how the Monks got her blood. BtVS detail and continuity is about 90% accurate, but the other 10% is up to the viewer. And the moral questions asked is up to you. There is actually a lot up to you.

I agree. They are winging it on many aspects. The Jor-El arc looks the most solid IMO of all their arcs. That is pretty decent, but the important details that are left missing that annoy me. I understand forgetting at least one or two important details, but so many of them. Its hard to forget. I mean BtVS didnt elaborate on how the Monks got Buffy blood. Or talk about the no sun in L.A., but that's it. Well.....that's all I can really think of that they didnt elaborate on when I thought they should lol.

He did write some scenes in Toy Story :D. I think Joss is so good for a mixture of things, but primarly he understands human emotion and character development. Its one of the best IMO because they talk about their interpretations of the episodes. What certain lines mean. Like when it first aired William's mom is named Anne, and many people(including me) thought it was a connection to Buffy Anne Summers. Which the writers said it was on purpose. Saying that just like Spike's mom Buffy brings the humanity out in Spike. They purposely had Anne blond to be similar to Buffy. There is a more connection with Spike and Buffy because of the love Spike had for his mother.

There is was one thing I always disagreed with David Fury(the co-writer of the episode) which was that Giles confesses to Buffy that he killed Ben in season 5. Fury says no one wants to know about that anymore, but I do. I always wanted that to be brought out in the open. They had in the script, and filmed and he took it out.

I do agree with Fury that Spike is an analomy in the vampire world. He has more humanity in him. That was kept from his past self which really makes Spike soulless even more different than Angelus. One the reasons why I love Spike. In this commentary they really went into detail. Thus far I really didnt like The Killer In Me commentary..not as fun.

Trivia: Capturing Lightning in a Bottle

David Greenwalt comments on the episode "Angel" and what he considers as the greatest Buffy Arc ever. "When those two kissed there was suddenly so much myth between them."

It was David's episode Angel that first revealed the character's vampire nature and past. Looking back, he (David Greenwalt) had no idea they would be capturing lightning in a bottle by pairing Buffy and Angel together.
"We knew David Boreanaz was a special talent, but frankly nobody wanted to do that episode" he said candidly. "I said I'd do it tand then, my God almighty, when those two kissed there was suddenly so much myth between them. It made me so happy, when I might have considered it corny years before. It eventually led to the greatest Buffy arc ever, with Angel becoming Angelus."

The dislike for Riley probably comes from the fact that he was just human, and there were already normal human males in Buffy's life that were liked more. Like you said, Wesley and Xander...and more importantly Xander was probably seen as the normal guy's vicarious hope of hooking up with the dream girl(I know he hooked up with Cordy...so it's kinda flawed). Then here comes Mr. Special Forces acting like Buffy couldn't defend herself, and with all the secrecy. It just kind of left a bad taste I guess for some people.

Yea, I can understand that. I hear that mentioned often. He had an inferiority problem with Buffy which was actually noticeable in "The Initative", but that's just how he was raised. I wasnt mad at Riley for that. To me iI blamed both Buffy and Riley about their failed relationship. She didnt let him in, so what is he suppose to think. Talk about no communcation between the two lol.

What I liked about him is that he had his problems, but I'm glad they didnt show him as Mr. Perfect. They showed more flaws in him in season 5 of how he thought, and how lost he was. Now if he was Mr. Perfect I would have a problem with him. Too me Groo on Angel had less flaws than Riley. I loved Riley more than Groo.

Parent Council Television (PTC) shows controversial moments in television, including a Buffy clip.
http://www.slayerverse.net/tanet/net_buffy_us/index.php?navi=news.php&id=20088

Its from the episode "Same Time, Same Place" with the Gnarl demon. Honestly, I seen worse that on other shows lol, and actually worse than that on BtVS. I was expecting to see the ending of "Smashed" or "Dead Things", but I guess they are going for violence in this sense. Its no worries because BtVS was cleared of all charges two and half years ago. I dont why they keep mentioning it lol.

btw, the clip contains graphic scenes and shouldnt been seen while youngsters in the room because the graphic clip has other shows in it from Nip/Tuck to The Shield. Those are the most graphic.

Has anyone read or listen the Chosen commentary? I loved it. Its one of my favorites.
-I forgot that Marti Noxon helped in writing the Cookie Dough speech. As young woman I totally identified me at this time of my life.
-And how Sarah had to say 4 x's as much her Chosen speech. They edited it half down, but Sarah had to read the whole thing and didnt miss a beat. At the very end the whole cast, extras(potential slayers), and crew cheered for her because she did it so well over and over again. Eliza said she loved that speech.
-Joss mentions that the great "Final Battle" music increased the budget higher because it was so epic and large.
-He mentioned how the little league girl where he thought it might be cheesy, but he found out many people loved it. Especially the girls who were in little league. I loved that little girl with her smile at the end. So cute, and cool and I was that little league girl too when I was little.

I really loved listening to the commentary. I disagreed with what he said about Kennedy. There are very few things I disliked on BtVS, and she was one of them. I will never like her, but the actress who plays her is really sweet and nice. But what he was saying about the primary theme of BtVS in the show, and the little girls is what my mom, sisters, and my friends discussed exactly after we watched the finale. Just like Angel's Not Fade Away Chosen was straightforward on telling the theme of show, and straightfoward. I find that many shows seem to forget what they are all about when they finally make it to their series finale. I loved both Whedonverse finales immensely :D.

Yeah you are right that both of them deserve blame for their relationship. Riley's inferiority complex to Buffy's abilities was magnified when he realized that she was not "in" love with him. I think it's possible that even given all of their flaws, if Buffy could have looked at him as an equal I think she could have fallen in love with him; and Riley with the knowledge of her being "in" love with him could have conquered his insecurities, and possibly could have ended up being the most safe and stable relationship for Buffy in the long run.

Sorry for the ginormous run-on there...but that's the most objective I think I've ever been on Riley and I figured I'd better role with because it wasn't gonna last long  .

One of Buffy's problems is that she really didnt consider anybody her equal. Her slayerness made her feel isolated, and superior. She speaks of this in "Conversations With Dead People", and she further says that because she feels this way she is really beneath her friends and boyfriends. They are far superior to her. Holden called it "you have an inferioity complex within your superioty complex". The slayer really messed Buffy up. Its like she tried to co-exist with these two identities, and she couldnt. In the end she finally realized that she can be both by letting everybody in, and not in spurts. In the books "Tales of Slayers" they speak of this complex many slayers have.

The complex Buffy has is what to me makes her intriguing, and why I love her character. She so not perfect.

True enough. I can see how that would really mess a person up, and give a person the impression that they can't allow anyone in...especially as a teenager is highly traumatic. It's a basic human need to have love and affection and if you can't feel that you can give or receive such emotion...there is a lot of pity to be felt for Buffy during that time period.

Took like ten minutes to copy and paste it from mulitple sites. At least now we can use it as reference for other boards we go to. Because that really gave my fingers a cramp lol.

More news on Sarah's "Revolver" from www.smgboard.com. They are reporting her long and brown. Her hair is long right now, so its her hair or wig. And this:

I just saw the first few episodes of Buffy. Angle is really wired, like when Buffy asked him why he didn't go save Xander's friend/stop the the master himself and and it the way he said "because of afraid", I was weirded out. then later when she asked him if he was going to say good luck, he just starred, then once he was gone he said good luck. It's the way he says his lines. They leave me feeling weird, but it's good I like it:D

And wow, that's a lot of rewards:eek: but then again Buffy is really great so it makes scents:)

Enjoy those rare picture of the scoobies!
http://www.slayerverse.net/tanet/net_buffy_us/index.php?navi=news.php&id=20166

These pictures are never seen before. These were taken the same day the pictures used for the episode "After Life". Remember when Buffy is just back from the grave, and she looks at the happy pictures of her and her friends right before they turned into skulls(very creepy btw). Well, these are outtakes that werent used the episode. The Scoobies look so cute, and love Sarah's hair. Amber looks silly hanging over Aly, Nicky, and Emma . Usually pictures are sometimes photoshoped in, but if they have the means to do it they will use actual pictures.

BtVS usually used actual pictures, every now and then promo pictures for the series, or screencap(but only once as I recall with Xander and Anya). They have used season 1 pictures a lot with just the Scoobie Trio where Xander is laying on Buffy's leg. That one is cute too :).

btw, i love slayerverse's banner. they look too cute lol.

I just watched the one with the sub sicene teacher who was a bug and wanted to have "sex" with Xander and another boy for her eggs. I love how both boys try to tell everyone they not virgins. it was too funny:D

Summers

I know, I can see her crushing on him a bit:D I didn't know Xander had a thing for Buffy, I can see why, but I think it's cute.

Summers
03-30-2005, 11:32 PM
um, did you see "The Witch"? Where Buffy tryouts for cheerleading you see a hint there, but tomorrow's episode "Never Kill A Boy On A First Date" you see more of Xander's crush on Buffy. I love that episode too :D.

I always thought it was cute, and big love triangle. Because you have Willow who has a crush on Xander who has a crush on Buffy who has the hots for Angel who is vampire lol. Remember no one knows he is vampire yet. Season 1 had more relationships in it, but the rest of series really balances out the mythology and relationships very well.

angelfire east
03-30-2005, 11:37 PM
Yeah I saw the "The Witch":D Poor girl what a evil mother, I love where she needed up in the end:D

I also loved how Buffy was telling Xander why she loved him, because he was just like one of the girls :rotfl:

I can't wait to see the next episode. I've started taping them so when I go out to do farming stuff I would mess it.:)

Summers
03-30-2005, 11:42 PM
gee, I wish I could tape episodes lol. Long story, but that's great. You can do your farming stuff, and get Buffyverse episodes later :D.

I loved it when Willow came into the science lab with a baseball bat yelling "WHERE IS SHE!!". I couldnt stop laughing. That episode is when I realized BtVS is a completely different show I never seen before.

Here's a hint on continuity: Just remember where Amy's mother ended up you'll see it referenced very funny in season 2 ;).

Isnt things in Canada more expensive compared to the U.S.? Yea, I agree it is expensive. I had to save two months for each of my Angel/BtVS/SV dvds. They are so expensive. I cant record the episodes because of the hookup with the VCR that's why I saved for so long. You are so lucky you can record them.

You still have so many seasons to go through. You only started. Well, you know how it ends .

03-31-2005, 12:05 AM
Yeah things cost more:( it does help that I live up North, in a small town.:/

I know, it's like reading the ending of a book before you start reading the rest, then going back and trying to read it cover to cover. It's really messed up, but that's just how I am, doing things like this:lol: Same goes with Angel, I know who lives and who dies basicly(sp).

Summers
03-31-2005, 12:07 AM
 eh, at least you wont be confused after you see the rest of series lol. There are so many storylines you havent seen yet, and so you'll see many cool things from a musical episode to no talking at all :D. That's all I'm going to say. I so do not what to ruin it for you :).

Just wondering if they were to make a BTVS movie, what characters would you put in it and what story would you use.

Also is it true that they tried to get Eric Ballfour back to reprise his role as Jesse(who would be the First) to try to mess with Xander. I heard they wanted a Jesse/Xander moment in Conversations with Dead people

Summers
03-31-2005, 10:51 AM
That's true. They planned on having Jesse return if they couldnt make Willow/Tara part worked. They found a way with Cassie, so they used that instead. Plus the time limit hinder them as well.

Mysticlies
03-31-2005, 12:12 PM
Who was Jesse again?

Summers
03-31-2005, 12:24 PM
In the pilot episode 'Welcome to the Hellmouth" he was Xander's buddy. He was turned into a vampire as a way to bait Buffy to come to the Master's lair. Later Xander staked him accidently.

You are right Angel doesnt like having Buffy dating because he does have the crush for Buffy. He was giving the jealous look especially when he said "your here.....on a date" with those puppy dog eyes. Just remember that because they will show you why in season 2 ;).

I loved it when Buffy kills the vampire by saying "you killed my date!!!", and Owen says "did you see that he tried to kiss me? what a sissy". Owen and Cordy were so funny, and the Clark Kent reference. Oh, one of the most infamous lines from Buffy "If the acoplayse(sp?) comes beep me" lol.

I like the series better because it went alot of places that the movie didn't.

That's the benefit of having a sucessful series like BTVS because it touched on so many things and I asked you because I always see your avatar in almost every thread and also because you are a RESIDENT BUFFY FANATIC. LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh .

I agree you can tell Joss Whedon didnt have creative control over the movie at all. I love the series more it was like you said touched so many things from comedy to very very dark.

You know it took me a year to come up with that custom text message. I couldnt think of anything that fit me lol. I never knew you were a buffy fan :D.

Oh yeah I like Buffy but this is Smallville and I tend to stick to it but it is cool to branch off and talk about other great shows especially since there are not new episodes on at the moment. lol

Here's "The Pack" summary Angelfire:

Episode 6 "The Pack" Summary

The students of Sunnydale High school are spending the afternoon at the zoo. Besides the standard zoo animals, this facility has a special new hyena exhibit, marked "Positively No Admittance." This piques the interest of Sunnydale's obnoxious cool crowd, who have already had their fun tormenting Buffy and a shy, bookish student named Lance. After grabbing poor Lance's notebook, they enter the forbidden hyena house, forcing him to follow. Xander, worried about his timid classmate, decides to come to his rescue. As they wait for Xander, Buffy and Willow meet an eccentric zookeeper, who claims the hyenas can understand human speech -- they learn people's names, call out to them, and then eat them. Meanwhile, the crowd in the hyena house starts to get rough with Lance, but suddenly their eyes start flashing yellow -- apparently, they've stepped into a mystical circle on the floor and a transformation has taken place. We see the eyes of one student who never meant to be there, and they're flashing yellow, too. It's Xander.

Back at school, Principal Flutie proudly introduces the students to Herbert, the Sunnydale Razorbacks' new mascot. Not quite as menacing as the team's namesake, Herbert is a actually a little pig. Xander elicits a strange reaction from Herbert when the two exchange a glance. Since returning from the zoo trip, he is more confident, more aggressive, and generally not the same old Xander. His love-sick puppy stares have turned to animal leers -- he has even taken to sniffing Buffy.

Willow brings the news to Buffy and Giles that Herbert is dead-- the pint-sized porker has been eaten by the hyena-possessed students. Buffy tries to confront Xander, but he becomes even more aggressive and pounces on her. They scuffle for a while, but Buffy finally decks him, and locks him into a steel book-return cage. When it is discovered that the pack is responsible for Herbert's demise, Principal Flutie is up in arms. He summons the group to his office to reprimand them, but doesn't get the chance.

The news horrifies everyone -- Principle Flutie has been eaten! The "official" story is that a pack of wild dogs did it, but Buffy, Willow and Giles know the truth. Since Xander was with Buffy when the incident occurred, she is relieved that he was not involved. Giles has figured out that in order to restore order, the spirits of the hyenas must be taken from the students and put back into the animals. While Buffy and Giles go to the zoo, Willow offers to watch over Xander. The zookeeper, well-versed in these matters, offers to help with the "transformation," and says that all the students must return to the mystical circle in the hyena cage. But one member of their pack is missing -- Xander -- and Buffy and Giles realize, to their horror, that they will seek him out, leaving Willow vulnerable to their attack. When they do just that, Xander breaks free from the cage, but Willow hides. They escape the school grounds and Buffy leads them all to the zoo.

While everything seems to be going according to schedule, it turns out that the zookeeper's plan is to absorb all the hyena?s spirits himself. He does, and grabs Willow in order to perform a predatory act which is part of the ritual. Xander, back to his old self, reacts to seeing his friend in jeopardy and dives on the zookeeper, freeing Willow. When the zookeeper goes after Buffy, she hurls him into the hyena cage, where he is promptly devoured.
