Is there any way to go to a page in the middle of a thread that has a lot of posts without having to go through every page?

I don't think so. You have to take the time and look through it.

If you know what yo are looking for you can do a board search

Even with the board search it will just lead you to the thread, not the page.

No, you can select to view by post, not thread. Here, I will search for a post by you in Gimp Island that says "After he left!"
Here are the results:

Cool. Thanks, Sharkie, and thanks for your answer, Shakar. That sucks that you can't just pick a page you want to go to in the thread, though.....

You can do this. You have to manually type the page number at the end of the web-page address that shows up in your address bar. Let's say I'm browsing the 4-word game in Off-Topic. I'm looking at this page:
http://www.kryptonsite.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=9946&perpage=15&pagenumber=8
It's page 8. I want to jump to page 3, so I replace the "8" with "3", hit enter, and there I go. Or replace it with "19" and it jumps to page 19, and so on.
