I thought for sure there'd be a thread for them already! These guys are my latest band obsession. Caleb's (as they all go by their middle names) voice is simply amazing, he can serenade me 24/7.

I know they have been around for a while and were popular more in the U.K. first. I think I remember hearing a snippet of one of their songs a while ago, but didn't go further finding out who it was.

If they come around Philly any time soon (I haven't checked), I'm there.

I like them. Something about their voices and music that make it sound so raw and unique.

Use Somebody was WAY overplayed over here though. I'm sick of that song now.

Kings Of Leon's "Only By The Night" was basically the soundtrack to my summer last year, lol. Every opportunity I had was spent listening to them. Like Ryan said, "Use Somebody" and "Sex On Fire" were really overplayed here (UK) too but everytime they're played in a club they still manage to get everyone up and dancing, lol. The whole album was amazing, I could play every single track over and over and not get bored of them. I especially remember listening to the above two tracks and "Crawl," "Closer" and "Be Somebody." I agree with you both about Caleb's voice; it's the epitome of rock, I love it.

I totally remember reading how Kings of Leon were so much more popular in the UK, and that's when I started listening to them. I don't think they got very much attention over here in North America until "Use Somebody" got some airplay on the radio.

I liked "Crawl", "Notion", "Manhattan" and "Be Somebody" from "Only By The Night". Good stuff. I've never listened to their older albums though.

Yeah, over here and Australia & New Zealand they're really a huge deal. I was actually quite shocked when I found out they weren't particularly big in N. America. I guess they're kind of like The Killers in that respect.

I've not heard anything from their first studio album, "Youth and Young Manhood," I don't think. They're 2nd album "Aha Shake Heartbreak" had a few good songs like "The Bucket" and "Taper Jean Girl." 3rd album "Because Of The Times" was better and had songs like, "Knocked Up," "Fans" and "On Call" which are much more like they're current sound associated with "Only By The Night" so if you can, check some of those songs out, I think you'd like them ;):).

I like Sex on Fire. Of the few songs I've heard by them, that's the only one I like.

I made a thread for Paramore months ago and not one person has gone in it!. Gutted.

I like Sex on Fire. Of the few songs I've heard by them, that's the only one I like.

That's the only song you like? Nooooo. I find it hard choosing something that I don't like by them, lol. It must be Caleb's voice, it's too damn shmexy, lolol.

Yyyyyeah, that's probably why I don't like them very much. I usually care more about the guitarist and the drummer than the actual vocals. But again, I haven't heard many songs by them.

Oh, okay, that's cool. I'd still recommend giving them a bit of a listening to, perhaps on youtube :).

Yeah that one is, I have "Sex on Fire" and "Crawl" on constant replay on my iPod.

For me the vocals add to the likability and uniqueness of the band...I guess that's why I liked such bands as Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, etc, because of the different sounding vocals.
