How do you do it? where do you get the photos from? Do you take pics of the tv ?

I either use promo pics that I get off the internet or I use screen caps. Most of the screencaps, I do myself from either DVDs or the digital episodes I bought on Amazon.

First I get the image saved on my computer or take a screen cap (make the video fullscreen and press the print screen button on your computer for a quick easy screen cap - alt + print screen for a window and not full screen).

Then I open the image up in photoshop and edit away. If you are using a screen cap, then you take the screen cap using the print screen button, open the image editor, and then paste it into a new document.

The gif avi I'm using right now was made in Photoshop CS3 and others I do in CS4 or elements 6/8 depending mostly on what computer I am on and sometimes what I want to do.

You could even do one in paint if you don't need to do much editing. I don't know what other image editors come with a computer, but any of those would work as well and I'm sure there are plenty of free and legal programs out there (such as the gimp) that can make an avatar. Animated gifs may require different software depending on what program you are using.

Once the avi is made, I hit file > save for web and devices(in photoshop), and then upload to Kryptonsite.

Thank you

No problem. Hopefully that was at least a little bit useful.

The editing process in the middle that I kind of skipped over obviously takes the most time, but I tried my middle of the night best to make an outline of how to make an avi.
