super_j_man
11-10-2009, 06:06 PM
On a scale of 1 to 10, rank the Smallville episode, character, actor/actress, prop, plot device, etc. that the poster above you has posted. Then post something for the next poster to rank.

I'll start things off. The next person to post ranks the following from 1 to 10 and then post something else:

Tom Welling

HeroesUnlimited
11-10-2009, 06:28 PM
Tom Welling - "9"

The strength of Smallville High's football team

super_j_man
11-10-2009, 06:35 PM
I'll say about a 9 for the football team (It's not really fair they had Superman on their team;))

the episode "Crossover"

jsm
11-10-2009, 06:37 PM
6

The episode "Rosetta"

HeroesUnlimited
11-10-2009, 06:41 PM
Rosetta - "8.5"

Johnathan Kent's integrity

super_j_man
11-10-2009, 06:44 PM

the jail-fight scene in Transference

HeroesUnlimited
11-10-2009, 07:13 PM
jail fight scene - "7" good but not necessary "bloody"

Clark's dependablity

super_j_man
11-10-2009, 07:16 PM
It depends.....is Lana around?? If not I'll give him a 7, if so I'll give him a 4.

Davis Bloom

HeroesUnlimited
11-10-2009, 07:30 PM
Davis? Based on what? Well he turned out to be a creep so I'll say a "2"

The Talon (as a hangout)

super_j_man
11-11-2009, 03:36 AM
9

I meant davis bloome overall

Project Ares

Ayden
11-11-2009, 03:56 AM

Chloe's fashion in seasons 8 & 9

super_j_man
11-11-2009, 04:01 AM
7

Chloe's hairdo in seasons 2 & 3?

HeroesUnlimited
11-11-2009, 05:31 PM
Chloe's hair? Really? Well, I'm not a fan of short hair on women so I'll say a "4"

Oliver (as an ally to Clark)

super_j_man
11-11-2009, 06:04 PM
Sometimes he's and 8, sometimes he's a 3

Pilot episode?

HeroesUnlimited
11-11-2009, 06:18 PM
pilot episode 6.5 (didn't get hooked until season 2)

The Kwatche Caves arc?

super_j_man
11-11-2009, 06:32 PM
I'd give it a 8. I thought it was an actual pretty good way to introduce Clark's origins.

Morgan Edge's character?

SGuthrie27
11-11-2009, 10:32 PM
The original one, played by Rutger Hauer? 9. The second one? 7.

--SGuthrie ><>' :)--

jsm

Michael Rosenbaum's acting in "Shattered"?

super_j_man
11-12-2009, 03:26 AM
11 - heheh :D

Lana Lang in Seasons 1-3

xrayvision
11-12-2009, 11:25 AM
Lana Lang in Seasons 1-3: 7 (would have been higher but the secrets & lies thing brought it down)

Luthors vs. Teagues scenes in Forever

HeroesUnlimited
11-12-2009, 06:13 PM
Luthors vs. Teagues - A 7.5 (great banter, and a fun, outside action scene - but no Clark)

Veritas

super_j_man
11-12-2009, 06:19 PM
6 (was a descent story arc but could have been better)

the wall of wierd

HeroesUnlimited
11-12-2009, 06:39 PM
wall of weird - a "5" (the digital wall of weird was kind of a cool idea)

Bart Allen

super_j_man
11-12-2009, 07:01 PM
8.2 - pretty cool character, but along with the rest of the Justice League I didn't like him in Doomsday

Ollie's jet?

lifelovedestiny
11-12-2009, 07:55 PM
3 - seriously, I was suprised we never saw the guy doing his laundry in there!

Martian Manhunter losing his powers?

Aficionado
11-12-2009, 08:02 PM
2, It would have been cool if he had kept them.

Lex and Clark's chemistry

xrayvision
11-13-2009, 10:08 AM
10 (as long as it lacks Lana)

Clark still being a copyboy

super_j_man
11-13-2009, 07:54 PM
3

Dark Thursday?

HeroesUnlimited
11-13-2009, 09:18 PM
Dark Thursday - a "5" - felt like one of those "leftover" storylines from the previous seasons they needed to "wrap up" before they could move on

Lex Luthor's skull's resistance to bullets (fired at point-blank range, as seen in Fracture)

super_j_man
11-14-2009, 11:49 AM
6 - I almost thought they were going to use meteor abilities to explain why Lex Luthor had so many close calls with death, but they never really explained it well. So fact the dude gets shot so many times and still lives is kind of annoying without any explanation at all.

The Season 2 blooper wheel (if you haven't seen it, it's on youtube)

xrayvision
11-14-2009, 12:08 PM
The season 2 gag reel: 10 (I loved it; they need more of these but without Michael & other former cast members it doesn't seem like they have as much fun on the set anymore)

The Black Creek Facility

HeroesUnlimited
11-14-2009, 02:36 PM
Black Creek - 4 (Too many of these types of facilities on the show already - 33.1, Belle Reeve, etc.)

Jed McNally, as a boss/employer

super_j_man
11-14-2009, 03:17 PM
2 -do I have to explain? ;)

the Delete Smackdown (not sure if this has been done before)

HeroesUnlimited
11-14-2009, 09:45 PM
A solid 7. Chloe actually did OK in that fight. Better than I thought she would.

Clark's ability to keep his abilities a "secret"

super_j_man
11-15-2009, 06:20 AM
6.5 - Either he's portrayed as a bad liar or everyone else is oblivious :p

The Smallville Torch

xrayvision
11-15-2009, 07:39 AM
Smallville Torch: 8 (very creative & outside the box thinking, plus Clark got to write articles which he has since not done any of)

Lana's hand after Lexzod impaled it

super_j_man
11-15-2009, 11:34 AM
7.5 - Oddly enough I liked Lana in that episode. KK's acting was great!

Clark's super jump in Hidden

HeroesUnlimited
11-15-2009, 03:37 PM
Clark's super jump - a solid "9" *The only thing that would have made it a "10" would have been if it was actual flight

The episode Insurgence

super_j_man
11-15-2009, 05:16 PM
10 - awesome episode, I don't think I can think of any flaws with it :D

Kara's introduction

xrayvision
11-15-2009, 07:17 PM
Kara's Introduction: 7 (started out OK but it plummeted not long after IMO)

The Kent Farm Storm Cellar

HeroesUnlimited
11-16-2009, 06:51 PM
The storm cellar - a "9" (The only problem I had was it's destruction :()

The way Smallville integrates former actors from the Superman movies into the series (Christopher Reeve, Terrance Stamp, Margot Kidder, Marc McClure, etc.)

super_j_man
11-16-2009, 07:58 PM
7 - They could have introduced Margot better.

The episode Fever

xrayvision
11-17-2009, 08:56 AM
10: This is the type of episode that showed what a great show Smallville was back in its golden days.

Evil Lex in Onyx

Night_Hawk90
11-17-2009, 09:03 AM
9 i wish this was how lex was portrayed more often in smallville instead of the flip-flop he turned into

the introduction of Lois lane?

xrayvision
11-17-2009, 09:10 AM
3: I thought it was mistimed with the stones plot getting so badly shortchanged and a season too early (should have appeared in season 5 as a fellow college classmate of Clark's--would have been much more appropriate & would have been much better for the character)

The episode Vengeance

super_j_man
11-17-2009, 05:58 PM
8 - I thought it was good to show Clark's angst from his father's death. The problem I had with it was the Special Effects looked really fake.

Clark and Chloe's friendship

xrayvision
11-17-2009, 06:03 PM
2: It started out great. I loved the rocky path that happened as a result of her deal with Lionel and how she & Clark got past that. But since Arrival, I can't stand the way it's been portrayed since Clark became a BDA because of it and Chloe lost her previous identity.

Lucas Luthor

super_j_man
11-17-2009, 06:07 PM
6 - He was cool but I didn't like how they never used him or refered to him again

Clark's birthday cake in Oracle

HeroesUnlimited
11-17-2009, 06:36 PM
3 - it was pitiful, but.....she tried. God bless Lois.

Milton Fine, as a college instructor

super_j_man
11-17-2009, 06:45 PM
7 - he was slightly interesting but I probably would of gotten bored very easily seeing as how I don't like History and he has a monotone voice.

The episode Splinter

xrayvision
11-17-2009, 07:30 PM
9: Very good episode, though a little too Lana centric

Sleeper

HeroesUnlimited
11-17-2009, 07:50 PM
1 - not a good episode (yuck)

Quest

xrayvision
11-17-2009, 07:57 PM
2: Directed by my favorite writer (Kenneth Biller) but full of too many retcons even though the story would have been amazing had the explanations of earlier seasons not happened. I still love that ending scene with Lex though.

Oreo with Clark's footprint on it

HeroesUnlimited
11-18-2009, 05:48 PM
1 - That Oreo is no longer edible!!!

Chloe's involvement in Kryptonian affairs

super_j_man
11-18-2009, 07:07 PM
5 - okay sometimes but gets annoying

Explosion on the Kent Farm in Exodus

HeroesUnlimited
11-18-2009, 08:10 PM
6 - visually spectacular but the effects were devastating

Sheriff Adams

xrayvision
11-18-2009, 08:38 PM
7: Funny character who was a pretty good replacement for Sheriff Ethan

Clark's first dream in Slumber

super_j_man
11-19-2009, 06:33 PM
7.5 - I actually didn't think it was that bad a plot for an episode, even though some people hated it. I didn't really buy Pete's conversation with Clark where Pete told him he failed his History Test, but then again it was only a dream right? ;)

The second meteor shower

HeroesUnlimited
11-19-2009, 07:07 PM
2nd meteor shower - a great centerpiece for the season 4 finale. Cool to actually see Clark present during one of these (he was 3 years old during the last one) - I'll give it a "9"

Sheriff Ethan's mustache

super_j_man
11-19-2009, 07:24 PM
What can I say? Sherriff Ethan rocks the 'stache! 10 :)

The episode Rabid

xrayvision
11-20-2009, 10:51 AM
7: Good but they could have done it without the zombies.

Desiree's scene in Lex's pool

HeroesUnlimited
11-20-2009, 06:01 PM
Desiree isn't really my "taste" but she was pretty hot in that scene, I'll have to admit....8

Lana's scene in the Smallville High pool in Nicodemus

super_j_man
11-20-2009, 06:18 PM
9 - funny, hot, and I took off a point for the body double ;)

Lois' strip performance in Exposed

HeroesUnlimited
11-21-2009, 06:50 PM
Lois in Exposed - a "5" (I'm sorry, she just looked too uncomfortable. Awkward)

Lionel's jailhouse haircut

super_j_man
11-21-2009, 08:35 PM
8 - I'll admit the whole scene was fantastic, but Lionel looks better with longer hair. ;)

Clark as Kal-El in Crusade

HeroesUnlimited
11-21-2009, 08:41 PM
Clark as Kal-el in Crusade - 10 He was just awesome

Jonathan's low sodium ham sandwiches (following his heart attack in Hereafter)

xrayvision
11-23-2009, 02:01 AM
9: I thought it was low sodium turkey, but anyway if Martha makes it, it must be great. Plus sodium is bad for you.

Lana being light fixtured into unconsciousland thanks to Duncan.

super_j_man
11-23-2009, 05:25 AM
8 - no explanation needed ;)

Since you bring it up:
The episode Reunion

HeroesUnlimited
11-23-2009, 05:56 PM
Reunion - 7.5 (nice flashback scenes, good Warrior Angel stuff - but I didn't care for the astral projection stuff with Duncan)

Clark's and Doomsday's "fight" in Doomsday

super_j_man
11-23-2009, 06:08 PM
5 - All I can say is it was great while it lasted.

Clark and Titan's fight in Combat

xrayvision
11-23-2009, 09:38 PM
9: Best fight ever seen on the show (one that I expected the Doomsday fight to top & was more than disappointed about when it didn't happen)

The Clark-Jonathan "hold the fort" speech from Witness

Degobunny
02-15-2010, 05:53 PM
10- Pa Kent was always good at speech's

Dr. Fate's Helmet

AllSmallville
04-07-2010, 08:42 AM
9 - His helmet is awesome... *sighs* Want one actually.. ok... getting off the topic...

Lois on the phone, dancing telling everyone that she's getting married to Clark (Persuasion)

super_j_man
04-23-2010, 04:34 PM
7 - funny, but wierd

Season 9 (so far)

Saph
04-23-2010, 07:40 PM
8 - some hits and some misses (hopefully the next couple of episodes will be amazing!)

Red K Clark

super_j_man
04-23-2010, 08:26 PM
8 - at times he was really overused but cool nonetheless

Checkmate (the organization)

super_j_man
10-02-2010, 06:06 PM
9 - love Checkmate! :)

Chloe's Fever letter

Pali
10-03-2010, 03:32 AM
9 - it was touching when she read it and it helped with continuity in Instinct.

Final montage and cliffhangers of Covenant?

super_j_man
10-03-2010, 05:50 AM
10! Truly epic! :)

Chlollie

SGuthrie27
10-03-2010, 11:56 AM
8! Not as great as Chlark, obviously, in my opinion, but I consider myself Chlollie-friendly. I'm just glad to see Chloe happy again. :)

The Henry James Olsen retcon? :p

super_j_man
10-03-2010, 12:33 PM
You know initially I didn't mind it at all, but now I'm just annoyed with it. I wouldn't have minded it so much if we knew AA wasn't the real Jimmy in the first place. It's like Cat Grant. At least with the new Cat Grant we were told right off the bat that she's not the real thing. So 5!

The Lex clones in Lazarus?

fantom zoner
10-04-2010, 02:00 AM
You know initially I didn't mind it at all, but now I'm just annoyed with it. I wouldn't have minded it so much if we knew AA wasn't the real Jimmy in the first place. So 5!

You were way too generous... :p

The Lex clones in Lazarus?

7. I like that they've brought him back to the story, but I wish they could really look like him. That's why they call them clones, isn't it (and I don't mean the younger and the older one)?

Icicle as the vilain in Absolute Justice

super_j_man
10-04-2010, 09:25 AM
9 - I really like him as a villain

Oliver Queen's overall growth as a character

----- Added 4 Minutes later -----

You were way too generous... :p

Well part of me would've liked AA's Jimmy to be younger like he was in the mythos. I tend to be a mythos fan, which is why I didn't mind it at first. However the more I think about it, the more I realize that it was a CHEAP move by TPTB. We would've been better off knowing that he wasn't the real Jimmy in the first place, rather than making us believe for three years that he was. And after all the other ten million things that don't line up with the mythos, why kill someone for it? All right, I'll step off my soapbox now! :p

Pali
10-05-2010, 01:45 PM
7

I was not fond of him when he was depressed and acted like a little child, but his heroic and funny side are great to watch.

Justice League on Smallville (all of their appearances as a group)

fantom zoner
10-05-2010, 01:50 PM
9
I loved justice, and I love it when they're around. Dropped a point because I wish they would use them more. Especially Bart

Plaid shirts. just kidding. Jonathan's return and how it's presented

super_j_man
10-05-2010, 02:34 PM
10 million thousand! :D (if I could rate it that high)

The soap opera drama that was Season 6!

fantom zoner
10-05-2010, 03:11 PM
What season 6? Was there a season 6? :p Na, I liked some parts of season 6. But the soap opera drama gets a 5

Chloe's lines in the last couple of seasons

super_j_man
10-05-2010, 08:22 PM
hmmm........I like Chloe seasons 3-7 and parts of 9............I'll give it a 7!

The Vessel/Zod episode duo?

xrayvision
11-03-2010, 10:38 PM
I'll give it a 6.

Brainiac burning the hut in Honduras with those dead bodies & the CDC workers in Hypnotic

Pali
11-04-2010, 02:06 AM
7

It was scary in a way, but it was one of the better scenes in that episode.

Special effects used in Smallville

fantom zoner
11-10-2010, 03:30 AM
That's a tricky one. I think they could do a lot better, but considering their budget, they sometimes surprise me. And then, sometimes it's just bad. Though there were some really great ones....Okay, I'm rambling. Taking all into consideration, I'll give it an 8

The one liners

SVFAN89
01-16-2011, 05:59 PM
I give the one liners a 9. I guess it depends on who says them. Usually Lois, Chloe, Lex, and Lionel have/had the best lines of everyone.

The cliffhangers in Commencement?

VilleFan
02-13-2011, 12:43 AM
I literally JUST watched this episode, so I give the cliffhangers a solid 9. :)

The return of Pete Ross in "Hero" (season 7)?

xrayvision
02-13-2011, 01:13 AM
I love the character but hated how they brought him back: 3

Desiree Atkins talking topless to Jonathan.

VilleFan
02-13-2011, 07:27 AM
I'll rank 8 for Jonathan's behavior. He didn't look at her and insisted she put her robe on... although points off for caving in to her pheremone spell

The three witches in "Spell."

xrayvision
02-13-2011, 04:16 PM
I really despised the whole witch plot, so: 1

Lionel-in-Clark (in Transference)
