It had some good parts,I enjoyed seeing Sylar. Thought we would get a lot more of him though. This episode just had too much Hiro. I was getting annoyed with him.

I really love time travel, the different take on what originally happened was cool.
But what happens when Hiro comes back from the past the first time?
I liked it, and I am glad Noah didn't use the room key.

Best episode this season. It was a great reminder of how great season one was. Nice seing Isaac again, and finally somewhat of an explanation of where Mohinder has been. Although I couldn't tell what exactly happened to him; was he shot?

Eh, I thought it would be better, but I wasn't paying attention the intire time and I was running back and forth to the kitchen. Maybe I'll watch it again later.
For now I give it a seven.

I defently felt like this was a season 1 episode. I loved charlie ever since season 1 and I was sad when she died now I know she is not dead I am happy. I also think charlie will now have to be in another episode with the facts we found out in the end of the episode.

I thought it was a pretty good episode. Who knew Noah was almost having an affair 3 years ago..It was good to see Mohinder again..I was wondering if he had left the show for good. I'll give tonights show an 8..

I liked the episode. Easily an 8/10. Like you said ST I liked seeing the diffrent POV's of what originally happend. Though I was a little worried when they had HrG debating whether or not to hook up with his partner.. Talk about an OOC moment. But they had him come to his senses and all is good.

It was a stupid episode to me. Made me think less of HRG because he was going to cheat on his wife and it seemed pointless. I am confused how Mohinder is Joseph, Samuels brother. Well now we know where Mohinder has been. He was dead.

I agree with your point about HrG. It made absolutely no sense for him to be involved in that storyline. Unless his partner in those scenes must comeback at some point in future episodes. That's the only logic I see. But I am glad it turned out the way it did. He didn't cheat.

So was Isaac new footage? Or just flashback?
I had posted (briefly) on HeroSite.net a few weeks ago that I thought he was coming back, but then someone said "oh, no, I'm still in touch with him, he's not back"... I'll be kind of annoyed if she lied, but be glad to see Isaac if he is indeed back in the episode.

Pretty sure its a flashback. He looks younger compared to what he looks like now.

You know the problem with everyone salivating about a "season 1 type episode" is , this is freaking season 4, the show should be light years ahead! Not trying to recapture the past. In which using time travel, as a magic wand, is the ultimate copout to creative storytelling. Biggest copout of the episode, Samuel to Hiro, "I made a big mistake, and I need you to fix it"..Inset Samuel 8 weeks in the past after shooting mohinder. There could have been a better way. While their at it, lets bring fully powered peter back with time travel as well!
What would be awesome, though, is if Hiro went back in time, changed something by mistake, and died during season one. Then they could reboot the story whilst keeping everything canon, and basically not-do everything they screwed up.

But what happens when Hiro comes back from the past the first time?
Hiro told past-Hiro that Charlie was dead. So when he comes back, he'll still think he didn't save her. It was a small change in history, overall it wouldn't change much. It wouldn't change the fact that Season 4 Hiro still thinks he could save Charlies life before this episode occurred.
6 - It was good to see Charlie, Isaac and Eden again. Didn't really like HRG stuff in this one, though there was a nice HRG/Hiro moment at the end. I had to laugh when Hiro put Sylar in the luggage. Seems like it would have been easier for Samuel just to kidnap Ando and put him somewhere, but hey I can't wait to see what happens with Hiro and Charlie. The ending with Mo was great. Good to see Mo again. Even if he was a bit sideways.

Enjoyable ep, hard to rate though as I found a lot of lameness here too. Like the boring/mundane talks between Noah and Claire (very lame--we're getting a lot of these this season for some reason). And Noah deciding not to cheat because he loved his family was so cliche. This is a series about people with superpowers and THIS is what they spend time on. Outstanding.
Aside from this, I'm not sure all the time travel stuff was terribly consistent or made the best sense, but at least they made a noticeable effort to cover their bases. It's a little silly for Hiro to be concerned about messing up the space/time cont-inuum (forum doesn't like this word for some reason), when we've seen that HUGE changes can be made to the past (like New York not blowing up). Then later in the series, with the ancient Japan stuff, time travel wasn't about changing things at all, it was about (unknowingly) fulfilling the past (Terminator style). The first implied multiple timelines/universes (so as a result nothing really matters), the second, a single universe (which I prefer, as everything matters). Inconsistent and silly. But given the references to true popcorn sci-fi like Back to the Future, they're sort of telling us to put our brains away on this and just accept it for what it is--popcorn.
Question: Why didn't Sylar just murder Hiro and take his power when his back was turned? Who needs Hiro to tell you about your future, when with Hiro's power, you could go and see it for yourself? Why take his word for it? Besides, he saw how powerful Hiro's ability was with his own eyes--shouldn't he want it more than anything? Even more than Claire's? Unless he doesn't want abilities that will make it all "too easy"? Seems he takes pleasure from challenges.
Sylar's reaction at the end was interesting (with that smirk). Almost as if he was intrigued by Hiro's description of his future, and liked it (or has no problem with it happening exactly as described--as afterall, he was just this insignificant little watchmaker before--now he has this badass future where he apparently dies in an epic battle). Perhaps it's that he sees it as a challenge to overcome, to defeat this "fate", to defy it. As afterall, he has an inflated opinion of himself, so it makes sense that he would scoff in the face of such predictions, especially ones that tell of his downfall, and especially if they come from "silly little men" like Hiro Nakamura. It's all fun and games for Sylar isn't it. Irreverent and rebellious right to the end.
Litle bit more bizarre

Not Sure/10 ~ I'm not sure that the HRG past storyline is relevent now, I guess the story needed a B Plot in the past, and they wanted to put Claire in the Cheerleaders uniform to remind us of S1. I liked seeing Isaac (killed him off way to soon), but it also didn't seem relevent.
Questions: If Samuel is already time traveling all over the place, why does he need Hiro
to go back to the past? Is Hiro the only one that can change events?
Also by Hiro saving Charlie in the past, did it not effect anything in the Future?
What did (present in the past)Hiro do when he went back 6 months, that put Hiro (past and future) in the pic?
Am I supposed to know these things and I'm just confused?

9. I also really didn't care for the HRG stuff, but I did like his talk with Claire. We will see that agent back again. Hiro manipulating things was awesome as it has shown he has really grown from season one. I liked the Old West showdown with Sylar. I would have preferred the Sylar dies to reboot the series, but it was better with Hiro being hella vague about the entire thing. Hiro is going to flip when he sees Sylar in the Carnivale.
I think Samuel's reasoning to use Hiro is that he knew his friend was dying and he already stated he didn't want people finding out about what he was doing in the past. Hiro saving Charlie won't affect anything since she was taken out of that time period for what is going to be three years thus she might as well be dead. Ando telling Hiro that he saved her might affect his lack of confidence later in season one unless future hiro told Ando not to say that he saved her. Hiro from season one did everything he did with Charlie in the past to make her fall in love with him. Even telling Sylar he was going to die alone will change nothing since Hiro/Sylar's scenes through out the series is about a few minutes.

out of all the ways to show us the future heroes have come up with i.e. the isaac paints , the africans stone paintings , dreams, this slut whose back when in contact with some special which still hasnt been explained 8 episodes in, come up with faces is the lamest crap hereos has ever come up with.

I'm actually wondering if anything did change in the past. Sylar has some information he didn't have then, and maybe Isaac was seen there because it's teasing that we'll see him alive in present day... like maybe Sylar was stopped at x time and then didn't kill him. It opens up a lot of possibilities.

I didn't really know what would happen in this episode, but knew it would be good.
A couple things.
1.) Noah said "Because we don't know what he looks like!" instead of "Because we don't know where he is!" (when talking to Issac about Sylar). Anyone else notice that? Am I mis-remembering the lines?
2.) As long as something has a point in the show, go for it. If Bennet' relations come back later on, fine, but no one likes dead-air (Tracy 90% of the time).
Nice episode and also, four straight weeks the ratings have gone up!

wow, awesome episode after last weeks crap.
Hiro was great, i loved how he tried to behave like future Hiro and then got pissed because everyone wondered where his sword was :D
Sylar was back to his season 1 awesomeness and even the carnival dude seemed cool.
But i didnt get the purpose of the HRG story.
anyway to much good parts in this episode to not give it a 10

Finally an episode I deem worthy of talking about. I've been patiently waiting.
I been away for a while, coz Heroes has been pants of late.
Sylar, Matt, Nathan storyline, reminds me of Onslaught and Joseph(Magneto) saga.
been there done that.
Hiro was THE MAN this episode, I loved the Time Travel play - if you're confused it's because this episode's Time Travel is not for beginners. This is why he is the Master of Time and Space, and why Peter should leave well alone (although making two bodies occupy the same space was pretty awesome - big man with loud voice, Level 5).
Pretty detailed all in one episode - Charlie, Sylar, Claire, HRG, past Hiro and Ando.
Love the "GREATA SCOTTO" - and the way Hiro manages to not, make the timeline go Ka-Blooey - ie; Sylar has to go on his path, and the cryptic/philosophical - you will die alone - Excellent. (I await to see how LOST deal with their time travel dilemma).
I agree it may be a weak way out of a hole dug by previous writers of the show, but lets see if they can keep up the good work henceforth.
(Although stealing Charlie was a flippin liberty).
T-Bag (or whatever his name is in this) is playing the Exodus/Fabian Cortez role.
Carnival/Home would be Avalon - exisiting in it's own sort of spacial warp
(watched Howl's Moving Castle last night)
Speaking of Fabian Cortez - Ando anyone?
HRG storyline was very good, was it neccessary, we await to see.
But I like the way it panned out.
Isaac, was a good touch, in keeping with the S1 feel of the show. You remember, back when it used to be good.
I gave this a 10 originally, but thinking about how they've kidnapped Charlie makes me want to say 9, but then again Mohinder (Beast) storyline could prove to be tittilating.
I haven't read spoliers yet - and reserve negative comments, as I think i'll watch the episode again. Just to make sure it's still as good as I currently think it is. :)

Well, I have to say this was the most interesting of all the episodes in Season 4. Not sure about Hiro changing what happened in the past, but we'll just have to see how that all plays out. The HRG stuff was BORING, same old boring crap that doesn't feel like Heroes at all. I'm still fustrated that we haven't found out more about Samuel and his group and all they showed was Mohinder dead in the past. Too MANY questions, too FEW answers.

I don't think it was completely about Hiro changing the past, but more about trying to manipulate Hiro into coming to the carnival. Changing the past could of been Samuel's way of controlling Hiro. At least that is what I got out of it.
Also by Hiro saving Charlie in the past, did it not effect anything in the Future?
I guess we'll see what happens next week.
What did (present in the past)Hiro do when he went back 6 months, that put Hiro (past and future) in the pic?
Originally in Season 1, after Sylar kills Charlie, Hiro tries to go back in time to save her. But he accidently goes back too far to six months previously. The picture is from Charlie's birthday party six months ago, so when Hiro went back in time he was pushed into taking a picture with Charlie on her birthday.
Am I supposed to know these things and I'm just confused?
If you watched Heroes Season 1 then you the whole Charlie picture thing should of made sense, but other than that ITA that it was a little confusing. Like I said in my post above, too many questions and not enough answers yet.

I thought it was maybe the worst episode of the season.
I guess they don't know where to go at the moment so they came up with this garbage.
I don't even want to dwell on the plot holes. It was just a boring episode that did nothing to add to the story arc (if there is such a thing this season)

This is my first post ever on here. I am a few episodes behind and just saw this one. I thought it was really good, but showed a few holes. Didn't Noah know what Sylar looked like back when he sent Elle to be Gabriel's pretty little neighbor?
