Perry: If you're just joining us...the solar flares accidentally caused Clark's heatvision to go off when he looked at Perry & Perry ran away to write an article that Clark is gay, prompting Clark to move into an apartment in a building Perry owns with 2 girls (Smallville's version of Three's Company).

Hothead: If you're just joining us...Fred Savage guest starred as a character whose ass got fried by Coach Walt after taking too long to make a play on the football field and recalling various events with his "inside voice".

Velocity: If you're just joining us...Jonathan left his hospital bed to coach Pete "the Boss" Ross as he raced against "Nightclubber" Lang to prepare for the big one against Jason Dante & had an 80's sports movie moment with him and gave him his suped up orange Dodge Charger to use in the race.

Heat: If you're just joining us...after Jonathan found out who Clark's new bio teacher is, he went on an epic quest to have her arrested. Unfortunately for Clark, he started going out with Lana & Desiree at the same time and got dumped by Lana shortly after word got around that Desiree was dating a football player. Instead of Desiree, the previous teacher returned & patted Clark on the head. Jonathan walked in, accused the teacher of having a strange sexual hold over Clark, made fun about her age, told her she's cradlerobbing Clark to get her hands on their tractors & sicked the authorities on her. Clark unfortunately thought it was a dream and pulled his pants down in front of his bio class just as Jonathan returned to tell him one more thing. Dammit dudes, you guys missed a lot. Now, back to Offscreenville.

In the Episode Discussion forums, each episode thread normally has an "If you are just joining us..." thread, which normally pokes a bit of fun at Clark or Lex or Lois or Shelby or the show etc.

xray has started this series wide version. So if you wanna put up a humorous "if you are just joining us..." about a particular epi, fire away in here. :)

In season 5 as a commercial break came to an end, at about halfway into the 1 hour timeslot for Smallville there used to be a guy who said "If you're just joining us..." and went on to give a brief summary of the episode for any people just tuning in. Everyone was making fun of it, and it wasn't long before threads titled "If you're just joining us..." were posted every week---even long after that segment ended. I & some others still post it in the episode forums to this day whenever the forum for a new episode opens up.

I made this one to contain the entire series, and to be an Offscreenville version of it (then again, pretty much all of them are anyway since people just make stuff up).

The funniest one was the one with Bud being dumped by his teacher where Al comes in. That was one of the funniest moments ever in the series. It was just one thing after another. Al was on a role. When I first saw Heat and saw how Desiree tried to seduce Clark, I immediately thought of that MWC episode. Just imagine Clark in Bud's place & Jonathan in Al's place. Would be too damn funny.

Red: If you're just joining us...Lex paid Jonathan for all the stuff Clark bought from Discount Eddie's and set it aside in a room in his mansion for Clark to play with when he came over to play with Lex, but Jonathan found out & whipped both their hides with his kryptonite-laced belt. Unlike Clark, Lex liked it & wanted more.
