This episode was okay, but I thought it was kinda slow. Season 4 as a whole has been slow and nothing like Season 1 in that regard. I thought they were trying to get back to the feeling of Season 1, yet all the episodes are kinda boring IMO. The only storing that's half-way intersting is Sylar's story (both of them).
I gave this episode a 7 which I thought was real generous. The Matt/Sylar storyline was what IMO saved the episode from being a total snooze-fest. The volumes were better when you knew what was coming and you have something to anticipate. Have they even given the slightest hint as to where the story line is going??
Oh well, the next episode looks kinda interesting, I reckon. Let's hope the season starts picking up.
I thought it was ok, I liked the Sylar/Matt storyline. Liked learning more about the carnival and also liked HRG and his storyline. I thought the Claire storyline was boring and wish it was more interesting.

I thought this was a pretty good episode. I love the Parkman/Sylar stuff! I don't think Gretchen will make it through the season:\ Now 2 more people know about Claire and I just know they'll tell everybody else about her. May need a massive school-wide mind wipe by the Hatian if that happens..No Hiro, Peter and Emma tonight though:( Despite that, I'll give tonight's episode an 8..

I liked it as usual, although Matt/Sylar and really nice to see Ali Larter again.
Although it could have used some more action other than a building falling down.
Amazing how no one was outside to witness it though.

Didn't think they would show that poor kid after he was dragged. Ugh!

Enjoyed this one a lot! Gave it a 9. Samuel....he was not happy. Loved the ending.
8 - As always, I like the HRG/Tracy duo. Was sad at the end of their partnership. Sylar/Matt stuff was good. Claire story moving along nicely. Samuel was my favorite of the episode.

It was ok. I don't like that Sylar now has Parkman's body, it bothered me how stupid Parkman was and how obvious it was that Sylar was faking, so that part of the story annoyed me a bit. I loved the Claire story. I just quit pledging a fraternity so I could relate a bit to that part of the story, though obviously my pledging was nothing like that. I'm tempted to say that they're gonna go overboard with Claire's experimentation in college and have her go through a lesbian phase. I find that prospect frightening/funny/daring. Loved Noah's story, didn't like the kid as a character and I'm glad he won't be on any longer, though I don't begrudge even the writers for writing him, I just think they did what they needed to with him.

Mediocre episode, bordering on boring (the same can be said for this season in general in some respects).
Claire was compared to Buffy at one point, and then later her creepy roommate came off very "Willow" (or "early Willow") to me, like when she said "relationshippy", and the fact that she's a lesbian of course. When Willow clone said that she had a lot of boyfriends in the past, I'm sure everyone found that very off given how awkward/shy she has come off up to now. I'm assuming she was lying? It would be really dumb/inconsistent otherwise. However, this claim was never retracted. Not yet anyway. I'm assuming she was just trying to come off more cool/less weird to Claire, so as to not completely scare her off with her creepy obsession with her.
How did Samuel allow Jeremy to die? Wasn't he "keeping an eye" on the situation? Slight plothole I would say. And how many more houses/buildings are they going to have Samuel collapse. How about something different, show. Like maybe opening up the earth and having it swallow up a building, or have him cause some sort of landslide where a building below is buried by sand/rocks tumbling down on top of it, or something else to mix it up. (This reminds me of the Simpsons joke/spoof about Knight Boat, the crime solving boat; there's only so many different things you can do with a boat since it's limited to water. Seems the same is true for Samuel's ability, or at least the range of ideas they've had for it up to now.)
Another plothole I thought was Sylar taking over Matt's body because he passed out. If Matt passes out, so should Sylar, no? Since alcohol affects the brain/mind, and Sylar is basically pure "mind" now sharing space in the same brain, shouldn't it weaken/impair him the same way it does Matt? Ah, just yet another convenient plot device.

I gave it a 6.
I thought the storyline with the healer/Tracy/Noah was pretty good and was sad when he ended up dead.
The sorority thing was alright. It'll be interesting to see what Claire does with the information that the head chick has an ability and if she puts it together that she was the one who killed her first roomie and caused the accident at the sorority house. I expect that the Haitian will come in and wipe the other girls' memories.
The Matt/Sylar stuff only got really interesting at the very end when Sylar took over Parkman's body. I'm interested to see what he does with it.

5/10 - I could have done without the Jeremy storyline, dragging him? WTH!
I'm not liking the Gretchen and Claire thing, so I didn't enjoy this episode.
The Carnival and Samuel has peaked my interest, but Sylar/Nathan/Parkman,
where is that going? Someone called Mohinder, but I can't remeber who:/
It doesn't sound like it, but I am a Fan of Heroes. This episode, not so much.

I thought that it was a good episode. I don't care for the Parkman Sylar stuff at all. To be honest I like my Superheroes as competent saviors. I enjoy the "thank god you saved me" kind of hero. I do not mind a dark hero but the struggling mal-adjusted heroes from season one made me want to stop watching the show. Now that this show and Smallville are going along with a good stride I love to watch.
Now: on to Claire. Easilly the worst character for me. Until NOW! Sur for loving the Lesbian thing but it reminds me of Buffy when they introduced Amber Benson's character. I loved her and when they killed her off I was sad. I think this finally gives Claire someone to actually get involved with, I mean she has not been knocking the boys dead up to now anyway. So, bring on the Lesbians!

I thought this was one of the worst episodes of heroes ever. I got so bored i started fast forwarding parts of the matt/sylar stuff.
I also thought the HRG story enden lame, the cop suddenly dragging the boy to death? why? did he kill the cops family? i think not, so way take it so personaly? And why is Tracy blaming HRG for this? Obviously he couldnt have foreseen the outcome of this.
The ending sequence was cool tho, samuel is getting more interesting with every new episode.

I agree this was one of the worst episodes ever. I can only assume that when the show producers said it was going to be fresh and like the first season what they really meant was they were going to produce more garbage.
This has all been done before - the memory loss, the powers loss etc etc etc etc. The hack writing is pathetic, repetitive and constantly redefine the 'Heroes' world. Characters are introduced (Jeremy) and then discarded with dizzying speed.
But worst is that the show moves with a glacial pace. Everything in the first six episodes could have been shown in 1 1/2 hours. The Parkman story is laughable at BEST and insults the viewer at worst. I find myself fast forwarding through episodes like last night's because they are so boring.
I'm one of this show's biggest fans, but at this point I think it is going to die by suicide.
