Ausiello is reporting that we're Fox is removing Dollhouse from it's schedule for the Nov. sweeps and that then we're getting back to back episodes on Friday nights and then...
the show is almost certainly canceled (http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/10/21/exclusive-fox-to-bench-dollhouse-for-sweeps/)

Just when I was really beginning to get attached to the characters and the show...

I read that Joss posted on a board (one he regularly posts on) that he's ok with the break and says it will "give us time to spread the word" on the show.

Also when it comes back it's doing back to back episodes (so new ep. at 7 Central and then another right after) and he says that at last DH has the "perfect lead-in".

Im sorry JW but uve got to stop blaming, even tongue in cheek, other shows for Dollhouses trouble. Last year DH fans blamed T:SCC and then Prison Break (to a lesser extent) The truth is, if people want to watch ur show they can put it on after snore-a-thon 2000 and they'll watch it. BTW JW, the 9 pm DH ep is still gonna have a low rated show as lead in :D

Dollhouse was good this week. David Boreanaz played an FBI agent. Maybe he was an old pal of Ballard :p

Ugh. I hate it when networks do this with shows. One week it's on, then next week it's off, then it's on, then it's off for 3 weeks. What a bunch of crap. Not a way to build fans for the series and rope in veiwers.

JW never blamed another show... the fans might have, but he certainly never did. In fact, considering that even after the amount of crap that Fox has given him over the years, the fact he can still work with them and swallow his pride is a statement to his persistence and acceptance that his shows will work because of him and his team, not because of the network's help.

In fairness, the gripe that most of us fans have with Fox isn't the lead in, it's the friday night slot, which is widely considered the death slot. Having Dollhouse paired with things that don't really mesh with it, is a little bit of a problem, but TBH, what does mesh with Dollhouse? The show is totally Unique!

That's what he meant in his priceless comment :) That it truly is a stand alone show, and having them back to back will be brilliant.

Also, I think having the episodes progress quicker will help with the flow of the series, which is difficult to keep up on a once a week basis.

I predicted the demise of Dollhouse after seeing the ratings of the show in the first season.I watched the show a couple of times and did not think much of it.I really think Joss should stay well away from Fox in the future ,as a matter of fact all sci-fi should stay away from Fox,TTSCC,Firefly etc............need i say more.
