The "Other Ships" Thread

So far on Glee it seems the two 'ships the audience is supposed to be rooting for are Finn/Rachel and Emma/Will. Though I can see the charm in both, I'm not a fan of either. I started this thread so that people can discuss the other 'ships they might like, whether they be two people who are together (Will/Terri, Quinn/Finn, Ken/Emma, etc) or who could be together, where one might have feelings for the other (Quinn/Puck, etc) or the longshots (The UC's).

Personally, I've been a Will/Terri and Quinn/Artie shipper from episode one but a love for Puck/Rachel has been growing. I think there is a lot of potential for Puck and Rachel - they both want to be stars, and they both have broken hearts due to the Quinn/Finn situation.

Does anyone else have a preference for other ships?

That to me would be a hella of a lot more interesting the Rachel and Finn. Rachel and Finn is like Bland and blander.

Rachel needs a spark in her relationships, and Puck would be great.

I love Puck and Quinn also. Quinn's my favorite character. I think "Quick" (Quinn/Puck) might be cute but they're both part of the pretty, popular bunch. I would love to see Quinn just completely drop her boundaries and, for some reason, I see her doing that with someone she never thought she could relate to - someone like Artie.

And then there's Rachel/Puck. They're different but they have a lot in common. From what I've seen of the show, they would challenge each other. I envision them growing together. Of course, I wouldn't want them to like each other at first, just get sparks of *something* but still maintain that intense hatred. While Quinn/Artie is my long shot UC, Puck/Rachel is one that seems much more likely to happen on the show so that's what I'm hoping for (the Logan/Veronica or Jackie/Hyde of Glee!).

I think Will/Sue would be disturbing. They're much better as adversaries.

I wouldn't mind Tina/Artie. It seems like the two of them do more stuff together anyways. You know how Kurt is "paired" with Mercedes more in situations. They block Tina and Artie together, too. Could be interesting. And hey, Glee love! :lol:

So...I've become a multi-shipper! I love and adore P/R, and Will/Terri, and Artie/Quinn, and Finn/Quinn, but now I'm also interested in some new pairings. Take a deep breath and try to be open minded...

Finn/Brittany, Finn/Santana, Artie/Santana, Artie/Brit, Mike/Brit, Tina/Mike (unless they're related, since they have the same last name), Matt/Brit, Artie/Rachel (P/R's my OTP for Glee but a little something btw these two might be cute), Emma/Ken (they're starting to grow on me), Artie/Mercedes (basically Artie and every teenaged female character).

So, that's my list. Some odd pairings but I can't help it! I'm especially interested in Artie/Santana, for some reason.

P/R was a nice surprise. I liked the idea of the two but actually watching them on last episode was nice. I dont know, it reminds me a lot of pairings that I like (Clois, Chuck/Blair)...I never have really liked pairings like Finn/Rachel anyway.
Like I said in the other thread, P/R makes like Rachel a lot, it's like we saw a different side of her and I liked it.

For me, "Mash-up" and especially "Wheels" just made me love Puck/Quinn even more. Can't wait to see where they're going with all that drama! :D

but knowing it's a network TV show on FOX.... i think they will just have Kurt pining after Finn and be single even if the show lasts 10 seasons.

Lana loved Clark too. Despite everything she did to him. And no, I never shipped Clana. Not even in the beginning.

Lilah, I disagree about Quinn and Lana being similar. Of course, in some ways, I'm sure they are. But I think that's more general than specific.

As for F/S, it's just my crazy UC-ness that sees potential even when the characters haven't interacted, lol.

And as for shipping choices, I guess I'm just different than you. In Glee, I don't like any of the "established" relationships. I ship Puck/Rachel (although they were established for an epi), Finn/Santana, Brittany/Mike (my three main ships at the moment), Will/Terri (though they are established, considering they are married), Finn/Quinn (established!), Quinn/Artie, Artie/Santana, Artie/any girl that is not Tina, Finn/Tina. So yeah, all "other" ships, lol.

The great thing about this show is that there is plenty of interaction, though usually those moments are very, very short and lack conversation, between all the characters so it makes it easy to ship almost anyone.

And it is very obvious that she truly loves Will.

As for FR...well, I sort of shipped them in the Pilot but then afterwards...well, not so much. PR was my potential ship starting in June, before ep. 2 even aired. Now, they are my OTP for Glee and if there is ever confirmation that they are DEF not end game, I'll stop watching. But I highly doubt that anything like that will EVER be revealed because tptb are going to be smart and keep something like that a secret, hoping to keep viewers like me hooked.

That right there could be an episode... Are Tina and Mike related??? Imagine a flashback episode of Tina's mom and Mike's dad, who both happened to attend the same high school (Mckingly High obviously) at the same time... and in this episode we find out that Tina and Mike are really fertal twins, seperated at birth.... lol!!!

As for Puck and Rachel... I like them. I want them as a "right now" sort of thing where Finn and Rachel are end game. Keep things spicy...

What I want to see happen on Glee:

Finn and Quinn break up and try to mend things with Rachel and Puck, respectably, only to find that Puck and Rachel are a couple and Finn and Quinn are single because they both screwed up with the people they truly wanted to be with...;)

I love the character of Terri. Some of the funniest moments include her. But I seriously hate her lying to Will. I feel bad for him.

Not the ones that the show released, I think these are from fans doing role play or something. Anyway, it's pretty awesome because it's updated like a lot and just today Brittany and Finn kinda have a date. They are watching a movie over Brittany's just now. And Quinn and Rachel are having some couple drama. Yes, they are together there lol But the B/F had me yay! :D All Finn's tweets are to her.

I'm a Faberry, Britanna, Puckleberry, Purt, Winn shipper... also into Will/Emma (which i see has it's own thread)... I'm generally ok with most ships, except Quinn/Finn, cause that ship just makes me feel really sad for both people involved somehow... but oddly enough I'm open to Finn/Quinn/Rachel, and I think of that everytime I hear 'Keep Holding On'... i just keep picturing Finn and Rachel both serading to Quinn when i hear that song... as for Finn/Rachel, i'm not that into it but i'm just kinda ok with it... I just prefer Puckleberry. I really love Rachel and Puck together. I know they're supposed to be just a random hook up thing, but that episode was the first time I started liking Puck. I think they were intended to be a random hook up that didn't fit and went nowhere but the chemistry between them and their scenes together were just too good and too cute and so I really love them.

I'm usually a non-canon shipper anyway.

I don't like Kurt/Finn though. I just don't like how Kurt comes off around him... i mean the scene where they were talking about their dead parents was good but Kurt going on about how bad women are and then in Hairography setting up Rachel to be humiliated... I dunno, seems to bring out what i don't like in Kurt more when I usually really love the character... I like Purt more, they'd be awesomely fiesty together.

I don't know if anyone's mentioned this hear already, but i heard something about Mark Saling saying something like Puck+Artie = PARTY! Does anyone know where that's from?

BTW, I'm very very sad to find that there are no fics out there at all that are Sue/Will. I mean, ok it's ridiculous, but that's kind of the point! It'd be AWESOME to have to them together! Especially if Sue tops and is pegging Will.

I feel the exact same way. I used to love Emma... she reminded me of some of my favourite characters but these last two episodes? she's hit rock bottom and I can't just blame it on bad writing... if we are supposed to root for Emma and Will... I will blame that on bad writing, I've moved on to shipping Will and Sue, I don't care as what. :lol:
