I gave it an 8. I didn't like Claire storyline this episode, but HRG was great. I loved Peter and Samuel's story as well as Parkman's.
8/10 for me.
Liked:
HRG
Some of Peter's storyline
Sylar/Parkman
Didn't Like:
Claire's storyline's turn
Some of Peter's storyline
that there are so many questions now and not enough answers

I am anxious to see how the deaf girl fits into everything. I enjoyed being introduced to her character.

8/10 I Thought it was a little slow. I was hoping to see Peter regain his original mimic ability.

I'd give the episode about an 8 too.
I am anxious to see how the deaf girl fits into everything. I enjoyed being introduced to her character.
I'm interested in learning more about her too.

Since I didn't know it was on an hour eariler than usual, I missed the 1st 20 minutes. I just don't trust Gretchen. I think she's kinda uncomfortable knowing about Claire and I think she'll tell the wrong person about Claire sometime this season. I loved how Sylar used Matt's power agaist him. I'll give my final rating after I see the replay tomorrow and I'm thinking it will be a high number..

I am interested in why Samuel needs to have an empath in his little group.

I liked it a lot, I gave it a "9", I didn't expect it to match last weeks double feature.
I am lovin' the Matt storyline.

love it, love it
the first few episodes of heroes always P me off..Claire is such a dumb airhead. am lready sick of the new guy sammual and the questions hes been leaving unanswered. and for a guy who suppose to be a master psychic h should he know that he does nt have to shout for sylar to hear him since hes in his head, and its best for him not to do so since he doesnt want to seem crazy...forget everyone else and just do episodes with peter for the whole series

well, Sylar it's on Matt's head but Matt doesn't see it like that. The illusion is very strong so he forgets that isn't an illusion. Kinda complicated but still.
I really, really liked the introduction for the new character, the deaf girl. That scene was great and one of my favs in the whole series. I'm loving Peter this season, no more whinny Peter! :D
Claire has bored me since season 2 or so...here isn't exception. Though I don't trust Gretchel either, something feels odd about her. Noah was awesome like always.
All in all a very interesting episode, I liked it.

Very confused, so gave it a 6.
Loving the Parkman stuff. Sylar's never really been that close to any of the characters, so it's nice to know that when he is back in his body, there will be a real vendetta there. I mean, once you've shared a brain, your as close as you can be
I like Claire's little storyline, it's all the teenage stuff that i'm used to from Smallville's and Buffy so I still enjoy it.
I'm not liking Samuel... because i get the feeling when we finally do find out what he wants, it's not going to make any sense... because none of it is making any sense so far...
He can manipulate the earth... and all he seems to do with it regularly is mess about with ink, making faces on his girlfriends back... at first I thought that was her power, but it's his... so what's she?
What exactly does he want from Peter. One minute he is messing with Hiro, then Peter, and we still have no idea why. He said it's cause his brother died... what about that old man he was talking about replacing? Was that his brother?
How does Peter's empathy work now? I thought it was contact that transfered the powers. And yet Samuel touched him and all he got was a painful tattoo... no earth moving powers. Unless he has to will the transfer to happen in order for it to work.
The deaf girl is just a weird tangent to the storyline... And I don't see how she would be able to make amazing music just because the sounds are showing as colours... That sort of thing would take years to master all the shades of colour each note is represented by, and even then you'd be very lucky to have the musical talent to pull it off...
I'm all for teasing and storylines that you have to wait for the explanation too. But Heroes has a history of just ignoring questions that need answering... of not coming up with a reasonable explanation... and so I get a bit nervous when things are really mysterious, because I don't trust that the mystery will ever be solved... and that just makes it pointless!

Very confusedReally? After trying to follow the Dollhouse premiere I found this a walk in the park... lol
Loving the Parkman stuff. Sylar's never really been that close to any of the characters, so it's nice to know that when he is back in his body, there will be a real vendetta there. I mean, once you've shared a brain, your as close as you can beAlthough it doesn't really make sense to me how Sylar can be in two places at once. Is he in Matt? Or is he buried in Fake Nathan. It can't be both. Hopefully it'll add up soon.
I like Claire's little storyline, it's all the teenage stuff that i'm used to from Smallville's and Buffy so I still enjoy it. Vampire Diaries is doing the same stuff and yet you're not enjoying it if I remember right...lol. As for the Claire story, it's getting a bit repetitive for me. They seem to keep doing the same things with her.
I'm not liking Samuel... because i get the feeling when we finally do find out what he wants, it's not going to make any sense... because none of it is making any sense so far...I'm liking him less now too. Mostly because they're making him outright evil/a villain with that mass murder. Disappointing. Was hoping for something more. Thanks for ruining T-Bag on Heroes, writers.
He can manipulate the earth... and all he seems to do with it regularly is mess about with ink, making faces on his girlfriends back... at first I thought that was her power, but it's his... so what's she? As others have speculated I think it's sort of a power-combination thing. Her power seems to be related to finding/revealing special people (Molly-esque), and he is able to make what she sees in her mind's eye take form with his "funky" ink. lol
What exactly does he want from Peter. One minute he is messing with Hiro, then Peter, and we still have no idea why. He said it's cause his brother died... what about that old man he was talking about replacing? Was that his brother? I don't know if he means literal brothers, I think it's more of a "cult" thing, where they make their own family.
How does Peter's empathy work now? I thought it was contact that transfered the powers. And yet Samuel touched him and all he got was a painful tattoo... no earth moving powers. Unless he has to will the transfer to happen in order for it to work. Not positive either but yeah I think he might have to "will" transfers to happen. So if he doesn't want to absorb a power from someone he doesn't have to.
The deaf girl is just a weird tangent to the storyline... And I don't see how she would be able to make amazing music just because the sounds are showing as colours... That sort of thing would take years to master all the shades of colour each note is represented by, and even then you'd be very lucky to have the musical talent to pull it off... I really liked that scene of her playing the cello, I thought it was very well done. I think it's sort of a "natural" thing, as since she is able to see these patterns in the first place at all, it's not too far of a stretch that she be able to intuitively understand/manipulate them at an instinctual level as well, sort of like a sixth sense. Much as is the case with other abilities. (Her being able to instantly play the cello reminded me of Monica...what ever happened to her...)
I'm all for teasing and storylines that you have to wait for the explanation too. But Heroes has a history of just ignoring questions that need answering... of not coming up with a reasonable explanation... and so I get a bit nervous when things are really mysterious, because I don't trust that the mystery will ever be solved... and that just makes it pointless!Amen, Becky. Amen. lol But at least it's always fun, as I'm sure you'll agree.:)

It was a decent episode, so I gave it a 7.
I don't like the Claire storyline, because it is the same storyline she's had since the show began. She wants to be normal, she does something she considers normal like trusting someone and making a friend, and then it blows up in her face. She cries about desperately wanting to be normal. Rinse and repeat.
Also, for someone that doesn't want to be discovered and just wants to live a normal life, she uses her power in very stupid ways.
I kinda like the Ink guy. I find him intriguing.
Not sure I like what they are doing with Parkman.
