I'm hoping for 8 mil., but it will probably be more like 6 mil.
Maybe people will tune in to see if it has regained the "old S1 magic".

Overnight Ratings:
"NBC limped out of the gate on the first night of the new season with its combination of the two-hour fourth season-premiere of tired Heroes (Viewers: #4, 6.02 million; A18-49: #4, 2.8/ 7 from 8-10 p.m.) and week two of The Jay Leno Show (Viewers: #3, 5.67 million; A18-49: #3, 1.8/ 5 at 10 p.m.). Comparably, Heroes averaged 10.09 million viewers and a 5.0/12 in the demo one year earlier in the Monday 9-11 p.m. block. Take a look at the half-hour breakdown:"
Heroes (NBC)
8:00 p.m. – Viewers: 6.48 million (#4), A18-49: 2.8/ 7 (#4)
8:30 p.m. – Viewers: 6.06 million (#4), A18-49: 2.8/ 7 (#4)
9:00 p.m. – Viewers: 5.73 million (#4), A18-49: 2.7/ 6 (#4)
9:30 p.m. – Viewers: 5.82 million (#4), A18-49: 2.7/ 6 (#4)

DAMN! Heroes is so over. No one cares anymore and I don't blame them I barely cared last night. The episodes were slow and a bit boring last night. For a reason sure, but it's the premiere for goodness sake. The proof is in the half hour breakdowns the show eroded viewers every half hour and picked up slightly in the last 30mins. If the ratings continue like this the show most likely won't make it to midseason.

NOOOO Heroes is not over. The premiere was great last night. The ratings were higher than Supernatural and Vamp Diarys premieres. I will wait and see how it compares to Smallville premiere rating.

NBC, ABC, CBS and Fox usually does higher than CW so it wont compare to that.

So is that including DVRs too? Yeah that's sad to see but House was on for 2 hours too so it did have a lot of competition with Dancing and House...:\

No, the DVR's (Live + 7) ratings will be posted in about 2 weeks. I think Heroes'
DVR rating will gain quite abit.

Yeah, CW ratings seem to be only compared to other shows on the CW. So I think Smallville, even on Fridays, has a good chance of beating the other CW shows.

Ya, these dont take into account the amount of viewers dvr-ing Heroes to watch it later, of all of the people streaming it online later. Still sucks either way, but what can ya do.

All the big Monday night shows came on line last night, so it’s a good time to stare at those 18-49 ratings:
6.5 House
4.6 Big Bang Theory
4.4 Two and a Half Men
4.3 CSI Miami
4.1 Dancing With The Stars
3.5 How I Met Your Mother
3.2 Accidentally On Purpose
2.7 Heroes
2.3 Castle
1.8 The Jay Leno Show
1.2 One Tree Hill
1.1 Gossip Girl
* Fans have had it with “Heroes,” which took a non-heroic distant fourth place, falling another 46% from its season-three opener.
17 million viewers: “Heroes” second-season premiere
10 million viewers: “Heroes” third-season premiere
6 million viewers: “Heroes” fourth-season premiere
* Last week “The Jay Leno Show” was the highest-rated Monday show on the big four networks. This week it was the lowest.
* “Big Bang Theory” is, at least for the moment, now TV’s top sitcom, up last night 28% from its 2008 premiere
* “House,” up 14% from its 2008 premiere, gave Fox its first-ever opening-night-of-the-fall-season win, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
* Weevil Navarro > Chuck Bass. CW darling “Gossip Girl” pulled 2.1 million total viewers last night, while the final season of the CW’s “Veronica Mars” averaged 2.5 million viewers three seasons back.
* President Barack Obama's appearance on "Letterman" drew 7 million viewers, the biggest audience for "The Late Show" since Dave and Oprah patched things up on air four years ago.

I would like for that to happen. Sadly it seems that most people when they get tired of a show enough to leave it they never return no matter how good the show may get after they left.

Cant help but think if last seasons finale had shown more action between Peter & Nathan versus Sylar, and maybe not do the Sylar as Nathan story, more people wouldve tuned in for the premiere. Aside from that, i personally liked the finale...

I don't know what NBC was thinking when they decided it'd be a good idea to put it on at 7. 8 was a perfectly good time slot. I don't think the show is going to not get picked up for a back 9. It's already been picked up for 18 episodes which will be 9 now, then 9 in winter b4 summer. And the execs said that Heroes was never in danger of getting cancelled. Plus it's doing better than other shows like Parks and Recreation for example. I think the ratings will remain steady, besides, DVD sales as far as I know are pretty good, and its DVR are extremely high as well. So I'm not too worried.

Well, due to how bad NBC's other shows are doing, Heroes' ratings makes it the number one drama on the network and in the top five. Heroes is probably not done considering we need to see what Chuck's ratings as well as the new show Trauma due. I can't see that Trauma show having a steady rating, it looks better as a movie instead of a series.
