I'm looking forward to it, but have a feeling that release date won't be set in stone anytime soon. I would assume at least one to two more delays before it actually hits.

it looks alright but i think there should be more going on in the city than what the game videos whow. if its a world like the dc universe i want to see more than just cars running in the street or a person standing on a black waitign for you to come and get a quest from them. i want people moving around and looking in wonder when a hero comes in their sight. i knows its alot to ask from an mmo but come on!

Despite the fact that it's DC and I LOVE DC, I'm just not that interested in playing an MMO.

yeah mmo's aren't all that great when you also analyze them down to a science. there's basically no story at all no matter what anyone tell you. it also makes this game something more of a drag for me.

I wasn't crazy about Justice League Heroes either. I think when you have so many characters with such a vast array of different abilities, trying to force a genre onto them isn't a great idea. It may work for X-Men: Legends, but the RPG formula - IMHO - didn't really work in JLH. You never feel like you're unleashing the true potential of any of the heroes.
In the case of DC Universe Online, I haven't played it but I imagine playing as some characters is going to feel better than playing as others. I'd prefer it if they were restricted to individual triple-A games. Batman can't fly or shoot lasers out of his eyes, but Arkham Asylum was downright amazing, because the game focused on him.

From what I learn about this and I don't really know about about MMO games. But from interviews with the creators as a hero you'll be notified with a villain. Starts to cause chaos so you can immidately jump into action and go where they are to fight them. Or if your a villain some common thug could be robbing an armor car.And you could be there to assist them in the robbery. The concept of the game interests me but i'd like to have more info on this. Before going out to buy it because if it's one thing I hate it's company that hipe on games. Making them out to look like they are really great only to disappoint people.

I'd almost rather watch more of that in movie form than get a game from it.

I don't understand why whenever a DC game comes out the designers feel the need to fiddle with the costumes. What's up with Flash's suit? How does he run in that?
I had the same problem with Mortal Kombat vs. DC, only it wasn't as extreme. But it was weird. They added lines and stuff to make everyone's costumes look more "busy." I don't get it.

I believe the addition to Flash's suit was some sort of body armor. Batman appears to have some too I think. I guess they might be emphasizing the danger that that future presents to the heroes that they need more protection. I don't know. Either way, this game is going to be awesome. I don't buy a lot of games, but I'm definitely getting this. Oh, and was that James Marsters' voice as Lex Luthor?

Yeah it seemed like body armor to me too. The scene was set in the future, so I'm assuming stuff went down and they needed armor to protect themselves in that huge battle. The present day heroes wore modern age costumes at the end.
And James Marsters as Luthor? Ooh I never realized!

This.
And yeah, I loved Marsters' Luthor, but was still hoping they could bring back Clancy since they got Hamill and Conroy.

I like his Luthor in Superman/Doomsday better. He was a lot more creepy evil than Prometheus/Gears of War evil.

Watching it again, yeah, it looks like they're all wearing armor. In the context of all-out war, I guess it makes sense. But frankly, Flash's armor looks too cumbersome and impractical.
However, I think it's interesting that Superman is proudly sporting the "S" shield on his cape, something CG animators claimed was too difficult to do for Superman Returns.
I say poppycock!

I never understood that. Maybe it's just the fact that I don't understand how animation works, but isn't it all done with computer generated models that are then "painted"? As the model moves, it should move in a uniform manner I would think. It's not like they are having to draw the scenes out frame by frame, with the artist having to compensate for the movement with a totally re-drawn S every time, right? Anyone with insight into the current cgi processes used by Legendary Pictures can jump in at any time.
