Did anyone watch this? I thought it was awesome. I loved the book and this a good adaptation.
Who else liked it?

Ohh, yeah, I loved it. Got to watch it yesterday (had to tape it), and I was impressed. As far as I can recall, it followed the book pretty well. I was pleasently suprised to see Gregory Smith (Everwood) and Katie Stuart (X2) included in the cast. And the little boy who played Charles Wallace was perfect.
Thumbs up from me... I hope they make the next book sometime!

Can you tell me the name of it? I've never heard of a sequal!

There were at least two sequels -- "A Wind in the Door" and "A Swiftly Tilting Planet." They looked interesting, but I couldn't get all the way through them. I may have been too young at the time; I seem to remember they were more complex than "Wrinkle." Maybe I should go back and try again now!
L'Engle also wrote other books that used some of the same characters from those three, though not in leading roles.

Hmmm. I'll have to see about those. I don't think out library has them, but I'll check. I really don't want to have to pay a fee for them getting it from another library...

Yeah, they're both really good... I think there is another one besides the two that Renee mentioned... but I can't remember the name. I'll post it if my brain starts working again ;)
*thinks and thinks hard* I know at least one of those had chanting to save the world or something right?? Umm *digs though mind trying to remember then goes and find old note book which she wrote it down in* "In this fateful hour; All heaven with it's power; The sun with it's brightness; The snow with it's whiteness; The fire with all the strength it hath; The lightning with it's rapid wrath; The wind with their swiftness; The sea with it's deepness; The rocks with their steepness; the earth with it's starkness; All these I place with God's almighty help and grace, between my self and the powers of darkness."
Ahh writing things down is good! Does that sound familure to anyone else??? Or maybe it from some other book...I've read hundreds of thousands over the years.

It did sound familiar, but I looked it up online just to be sure. According to a newsletter article I found, it's a prayer of St. Patrick's that L'Engle used in "A Swiftly Tilting Planet." Here's the newsletter (you have to have Adobe Acrobat to read it). I think the article was on the second page.

:( Awww! I forgot about it! I meant to watch it.
The book is really amazing, and so are the next two sequels. I couldn't get into the fourth book.
I googled it my self and it said pretty much the same thing though somethings said it was like a combo of Christian and Pagan prayers.
