A preview scene of Peter Petrelli going against the knive guy (aka Ray Park). From what I can tell I think Peter regained his empathy. It looks like he used super strength and absorbed the knife guy's super speed. What do you guys think?

You could still watch the clip on the heroes site home page. Look for the AUGUST 17, 2009 news date. It is the second clip.

I watched it

That video was fantastic. I couldn't tell if Peter has more than one power. The knife guys power is cool though.

Its is a possibilty that Peter changed to the knife guy's power after throwing him. However the official description said and I quote:


Peter Petrelli (Milo Ventimiglia) returns to work as an ordinary New York City EMT, but he uses his abilities to save livesRight now I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Topo21, even though I wish I could be as optimistic as you are, I think it was a general error by whoever wrote the description that said Peter will be using his abilities. Although, how could he effectively save people when he only has one power that might be useless in that situation so it is still possible that he will have regained his original power in the next season.

Well he did absorb Sylar's powers at the end of last season so maybe that set of power. But i hope he gets his powers back but i'm not holding my breath.

Abilities could simply mean he has one one day, and the next day he gets another. I know it's a stretch but it's likely what it means.

thats what it means - the producers would prefer to cancel the show vs giving back his powers

I mean they would only have to spend 5 min on a fan board to see that returning his powers is the biggest complaint, along with the consistency problems
