Oh, season 4. This season really is kind of a love-it or hate-it kind of season I guess. I just take this season for what it is: fun. That's pretty much the one word that best describes this season. It was kind of interesting that the creators took a lighter turn after the darkness of season 3. "Crusade" was truly a kick-a$$ start to the season, and really set things in motion nicely. Lois Lane was for me a welcome addition to the show. She added some spunk, and it was nice to see Clark match wits with her. The stones storyline was really awesome, but I just wish that it had been featured more prominently. Wouldn't it have been fun to have Clark go on a global quest to find the stones, and have them featured in more than five episodes? I think so. The main thing that alot of people truly hate about this season is the Lana-Isobel witch story arc. While not a great idea admittedly, I found it to be more fun to just go with it. And plus, at least it got Lana away from whining about Clark (or Jason, whoever she happens to be more pissed at this week) and doing something far more interesting. I could tell that Kristin Kreuk enjoyed playing the Isobel character. And I even (GASP I know) liked the episode "Spell." (Well, vastly mostly for Clark's "dancing" and to be totally shallow, Clark shirtless. Whatever, Tom is *gorgeous.*:p:D:D) While Jensen Ackles made a great addition, and he's mighty foxy too and a very good actor, I found Jason's "turn to evil" a little unconvincing. He wasn't evil in "Lucy," yet the next episode we see him in which was "Spirit," he had helped his mother murder Bridgette Crosby. Huh. Also, I'm sure I wasn't the only person who applauded Alicia's return. I really love happy and fun Clark, so having Alicia back was such a welcome surprise. I thought John Glover was even more fantastic this year than usual. He was pitch-perfect in "Transference." He and Tom truly were phenomenal at playing each other. I must also give special mention to Allison Mack as Chloe. She really upped her game this year, especially once she found out about Clark's secret. "Blank" was one of my favorites this season. It was wonderful that Chloe is such an amzing friend to Clark. I have chosen to give Allison Mack MVP for this season, which says alot because it was a tough call between her, Tom, and John Glover. The highlight of season 4 for me is "Commencement." This is truly the best finale the show has ever had. From beginning to end it is an amazing and exhilerating episode. Other favorites of mine include "Gone," "Devoted," "Run," "Scare," "Unsafe," "Pariah," "Sacred," "Spirit," and "Onyx." All in all this season, while uneven, it still was quite a fun ride. Not one of my big favorites, but good nonetheless. :D
