Symbol question

Does anyone know what the Symbol that was on the Cave Wall and Lanas back meant in Kryptonian?

Well, it was also on the water element, right? So it could stand for water... or transformation is probably more likely. Remember, the water element is the one that caused Lionel and Clark to temporarily switch bodies. It also made Lionel into Jor-El's vessel when it "glowed blue" and put him in a catatonic state in "Commencement." The fact that it was also on a "transformed" Lana (since she was possessed by the spirit of Countess Thoreaux multiple times during the season that she had the tattoo), I think "transformation" is probably the best guess meaning for that symbol.
