sometimes their are mistkes in the show they are obvious mistakes.

watching walkabout i noticed that Helen doesnt seem to be the same person they later made her to be. seems she was ment to be a phone sex operator or something. locke was already paralyzed for 4 years and on the phone he mentions they knew each other for 8 months. when later we learn he knew he before his accident and after his accident he didnt really have any contact with her.

another mistake is richards hair and clothes when he first meets ben.he has long hair and is dirty. we saw years before and years after richard never looked like that. could be a mistake but maybe they will explain something later.

not sure if its the same thing but jack told his story to kate in the pilot about the girl and the accident during surgery and needing to count to 5. thats when jack first started and we saw early years of jack he had longer hair but when we saw jacobs flashback (which i assume was the timeline of jacks mistake) jack did the count to 5 thing and all of that yet his hair was short as if it was recent jack near the time he went to sydney. of course he may have done the count to 5 thing and screwed up more then once so may not have been an actual mistake.

know any others post them here.

Helen wasn't a mistake. She had broke up with Locke before his accident. He was using the phone sex operator and just called her Helen.

In Season 2 Damon & Carlton said that the woman Locke was talking to wasn't the real Helen.

o ok so it was told via interview. guess thats was where the shrink comment came in but i guess if you just watch the show and didnt do interviews (like me) its a mistake but guess it makes sense :D

oh another mistake which i braught up elsewhere is marvin candles arm still being there during the orchid video when he should have lost it before the station was completed. unless the video was staged before hand.

Talking about the Benthem continuity error got me thinking to what other errors the show has made or just things that they haven't addressed:

-Locke never told Walt, Jack, or Kate that his name was Jeremy Benthem. Even if Walt used his psychic powers, and someone at the hospital signed Locke in as Jeremy Benthem, Kate would not know who Benthem was, but when Jack shows her the obit, she knows who it is

-Richard's hair changed only once, when we first saw him in a different time line in season 3. All the other times his hair is exactly the same.

-Desmond tells Whitmore that he has several brothers to take care for but it's never metioned where his parents are or any mention of these other brothers.

-Why was Libby in the mental institution? She tells Desmond that her husband's name was David. So if Hurley's Dave wasn't real, is it possible that Dave was really dead and this is Hurley's first instance of seeing the dead? Could Hurley's Dave be Libby's Dave?

-Charlie tells Jack in season 1 that he can't swim. Yet in season 3 he's able to swim to the looking glass.

-Why didn't Desmond give Claire the list Charlie wrote for her?

-Even though Charlie died for it, Desmond's flash of Claire leaving with Aaron has never come true. If it is to happen in 2007, wouldn't Desmond notice that Aaron is 3 years older? Unless they're going to do some time travel thing again to make this come true

-Sun is wearing a different dress every time her wedding is shown (Seasons 1, 2, & 5)

-Miles says Whitmore has been looking for the island for 20 years, yet he was exiled in 1992.

they could have known by talking to each other which was offscreen.

maybe richard was going thru a hippie stage lol or like tom they use to dress up as hillbillies back then too.

the libby thing guess its less of a plothole and more of a timing thing where they didnt get to it and cant get her back. sounds logical dave can be her dave.

maybe charlie had private swimming lessons offscreenville lol.

desmond could have forgotten or the note got wet in his pocket.

ya i wondered about claire getting on the helicopter. of course desmond could have seen aaron in a womans arms in a flash and just assumed the woman he saw was claire and not kate.

maybe one dress was a wedding dress and one dress was a party wedding dress and the 3rd maybe it magically changed when jacob touched her

maybe miles was rounding up although it would have roundd up to 15 then 20.

started the season 3 dvds today and found another error. when team locke "captured" charlotte ben was explaining who these people were and he said charlotte was born in 1979 yet when they go back in time to 77 she is like 5 years old. although if i want to think about it it could be that once people got off the island to avoid the incident their files were changed to give them different names and identities or something so wipe away all knowledge of the island. and ben would have gotten the government files which were changed. but agian its a mistake.

Lost is a pretty difficult series to think of any mistakes or continuity issues.

Yeah, I remember the Charolette thing. In fact it was a big thing because when the episode aired Damon and Carlton said it was Rebecca Marder's mistake covering that whoever came up with Charolette being in 1977 screwed it up. Rebecca then put on her facebook that it asn't her fault. And then Damon and Carlton had to apologize saying they screwed up.

guess it was just a typing screw up in the script lol. but who knows maybe they can explain it away by saying darhma falsified info in peoples records so the island couldnt be tracked.

dont think this is a mistake yet cause it might be explained in the last season but what about jacobs cabin? we know ben lied and said he was joking around and has no clue what that spirit was inside cause its not jacob but when the new people came they went to the cabin so obviously it was jacobs at some point in time. maybe. they make it seem like hes been living in the cabin for a long long long time but when locke meets vision horace its actually horaces cabin he was building and had a blue print for. agian this might all be played out in the last season. going to post some speculation in the spoiler section about what it can be if its not a mistake.
