I watched spell a little bit ago, and somthing botherd me. When Lana needed the hair of 2 virgins, clarks hair broke the scissors? how do they cut it, put kryptonite near him and hope they can get it over with quickly?

Either he had specialized krypton scissors or his hair just doesn't grow. *shrugs shoulders*

I think I read somewhere that he used his heat vision. I'm not a comic book reader though so I don't know for sure.

In the comics he uses a mirror and heat vision to shave. I suppose the same would work for cutting hair! :)

Or he could hides a small piece of kryptonite in his pocket (like the one he had in his hand in Jinx) while his barber cuts it. It has been shown that kryptonite removes his invulnerability, so I guess that would apply to his hair's invulnerability too. The only question is how did he cut his hair as a kid before he knew about kryptonite's effects on him (which he noticed in Metamorphosis)? Maybe his hair wasn't as strong then?

Red, White and Blue Kryptonite allows him to cut his hair...here is some encased in a pole:

I always figured that his hair wasn't invulnerable when he was younger - just like he was bruised by the bullets in Hug but got less and less vulnerable as he matured.

^^I thought of those bullets too MrsK. I think his body was always tougher than a human but nowhere near as strong as it got when he was in highschool.

Well, in the comics, Pre-Crisis, his hair didn't grow under a yellow sun. I'm not sure about Smallville, but if they use the Post-Crisis concept, where the cause of his invulnerability is a superchanged arua, that acts like a force field around his body, even protecting his clothes, if they're tight enough to the skin. So, there his hair would logically become vulnerable when it gets long enough and leaves the aura, allowing it to be cut like ordinary hair.
