Smallville Episode Elimination Game (S1-S8)

Well guys, after being inspired by the Villain and Hero elimination games by melbow, I have decided to make my own elimination game with Smallville episodes. (I've been waiting for Season 8 to wrap to do this) We'll go season by season and narrow them down to the top 3 episodes in each. After that, we'll take the top 24 episodes and find the top episode from there.

To start off, let's work with Season 1. I'll give each episode 5 points. Everyone will then take turns picking 2 episodes to take 1 point away. The last three episodes stick around for the final round, while we try to narrow down the next season. The process goes on and on till we get to the Top 24.

Final Round 1-5 (Top 30-Top 22) Rules: Each round to start with will be double elimination. We'll take turns GIVING TWO episodes ONE point. A episode needs FIVE votes to be safe from elimination. The last TWO episodes will get the send off and then we'll move on to the next round. Each round will now start off with a blank slate and we'll continue from there. When episodes are eliminated repost what placement they got (for instance if "episode A" and "episode B" get voted off first they would be "episode A" - 29th & "episode B" - 30th)*. ADDITIONAL RULES: When you vote, wait 10 minutes before you post your next vote. No consecutive voting (twice in a row)! NEW RULE(!): Only vote ONCE per episode per 12 hours. (IOW don't vote for "episode C" twice in one day) This will help keep votes unbiased but also moving along. I think we have enough people to implement this rule where it won't slow things down too much.

RULES FOR THE TOP TEN:
We'll take turns GIVING points to episodes. (One point for two different episodes per vote) When an episode reaches SEVEN points, that episode is SAFE. Here is what we are going to do a little different: once all but two episodes are safe those last two episodes will go to the CHOPPING BLOCK. We will then vote to eliminate one of the two episodes on the chopping block. We'll take SEVEN votes. (You can only vote once, the first seven people to vote will be counted) The episode that gets the majority of the votes gets eliminated. So from now on single elimination. Other rules still apply: 10 minute posting rule, 12 hour voting rule and no consecutive votes. New Rule: When only three episodes are left, you can only vote for one.

Rules for FINAL FOUR: Each person will take turns giving ONE point to ONE episode. An episode needs TEN points to advance.

1) No consecutive voting: Do not post twice in a row.

2) 12 hour rule: Do not vote for the same episode twice in a 12 hour time span. I know this may seem like a lot of time to wait, but with only four episodes left and bunch of people this shouldn't be to bad.

3) 30 minute rule: Used to be the 10 minute rule. Be patient and wait 30 minutes in between votes. This helps to clear up traffic.

4) NO elimination round: the last episode that hasn't been saved will be eliminated.

Here are the rules for the very last round:
-Vote FOR the episode you want to win the Smallville Episode Elimination Game! Only vote ONCE. As soon as this is posted the round will commence and we'll close the voting and choose a winner at 8:00 PM EST (US) on Wednesday. That's about 45 hours from now. I liked the building drama of Exile a bit more. Don't get me wrong. I love the Covenant montage. But Clark wasn't involved in a big fight like he was in Vessel or Phantom. But then again, he was involved in a big fight in this year's finale and look how well that turned out. :rolleyes:

It's a torture especially when you think that we won't find a 3rd good episode for Seasons 6 and 7. But, those are the rules. I won't intervene anymore on Season 3. I will let others decide on it. But the rules are specific so i doubt that they would allow us to make that exception.

Apparently not everyone shares our thoughts about Memoria Justin. I am happy Shattered is in there. Exile was a fantastic episode throughout. Clark as a character wasn't at his best but there was the Red K. And at least back then, they gave us a serious reason as to why he felt guilty.

I hated to see Blank leave. Season 3 has an all round great season. Season 4 had lots of fillers, but 7-8 episodes were top notch. Blank was one of them.
