Someone made this comparison on another forum, and I'd thought I'd post it here because it was pretty interesting:
It was Odyssey flipped on its head.
Odyssey-Clark came Home to Lois.
Doomsday-Lois is gone, Clark loses his home.
Odyssey-The JLA team up to find Clark and save him.
Doomsday-The JLA team up to betray Clark.
Odyssey-Chloe accepts Jimmy's proposal, starting a new life together.
Doomsday-Jimmy dies.
Odyssey-Clark embraces his new life and job at the Daily Planet, essentially his humanity.
Doomsday-Clark walks away from his own humanity.
Odyssey-Lois sneaks into the mansion to find information on where Chloe is, meets Tess, steals a zip drive.
Doomsday-Tess accuses Lois of stealing the orb from her, they get into a fight.
Now, Odyssey was about 100 times better than Doomsday, but there were direct and obvious connections.
