exactly. he came back, gave clark a call or something, and they met. the writing was CRAP, but that's the ONLY logical explanation.

maybe he came back earlier in the week just so he could ask clark to meet him on the dp roof later. i can't understand why his 5 second screen time was necessary. couldn't clark have just like said hey chloe, rokk said that i'm going to die tomorrow. they do everything else in offscreensville. mostly the important stuff.

Rokk didn't want to magically appear in the middle of the DP bullpen so he dropped in at the Kent's and called Clark from the house to arrange a meeting. (Rokk didn't exactly have money for a cell phone or a phone booth.) Since Clark was working, he asked Rokk to come to the roof of the DP where it is a fairly safe, convenient and open place for Rokk to land. Thus a reason for Clark to say, thanks for meeting me.
