I guess I need to double check the definition of quintessential. (Forgiveness, too, while I am at) Apparently I don't know the meaning of those words that well.

Still looking for it...add that to the fact that JO is not the real JO and now its getting real hard for me to stomach this show.

Nope! None of it did.
While the DP scene was nice, it was nothing we didn't see before (Stilletto) and given how the producers have commented on Clois "fits" in the final and the so called moment (aswell as other hype), I have to say the in the grand scheme of things, I am disapointed.

Lois was barely in five minutes of the show!!!
i agree they should have said a SWEET moment between lois and the RBB
not this big scene between lois and clark
VisionGirl
05-14-2009, 06:13 PM
lol there was ONE Clark/Lois scene.
And then Lois disappeared halfway through and then a bunch of people milled around for days before acknowledging Lois was missing.
If anything I'm simply REMINDED of the clana arc.

I didn't forget ****.
This episode = Epic SUCK

THey took us for a ride again...I iwll never believe anyone in the entertainment industry who gives these so called "Big Spoilers" out cause there was nothing even remotely in that episode that was Clois and quintessential.

you know at first i was glad at how they were taking the Lois/RBB relationship as more of just friends, but that scene made me think more will come of it. And i dont like that. I was definitely waiting for this amazing clois scene and it never come!
Lol and yea it kind of took everyone awhile to notice she was missing! For heavens sake no one was even looking for clark! He came back and all chloe has to say is "oh clark you're not dead!"

BOOH to Clois in this episode. I'm sensing a serious time jump for the premiere though...where Lois is and the rest of the story...so, that's cool, but I hate that they didn't even show where Lois ended up.
--Since it happened 1/2 way through, I thought they would.

The scenes between Lois and Clark are well done. I could see what they were going for. Kal-El doesn't have anyone to talk to. He's never opened up to Lana or Chloe. As much as they have pursued and supported him, all they get is Clark. Kal-El is tempted to open up to Lois. Nevertheless, the Lana arc was overblown and inappropriate. The truely liimited amount of airtime Lois got does not make up for it. You're still left with the impression that if Lana showed up at any point Clark would drop everything for her. I don't agree with that. They handled lining up the Jimmy Olsen character to the mythos very well. Why such adoration of the Lana character?

What Clois scene? Lois was barely in the finale.

I was very disappointed in the lack of Clois. :(
Where/When is Lois??? She had no idea what to do with that ring, so what was she thinking about when she disappeared? That is really the thing I want to know.
As for Clark's attitude when he told Chloe that he stil had not found Lois...I don't think it was a lack of caring on his part....I think he is just shutting himself off from human emotions.

or clark would have poofed when he was looking at it at the DP

If Lana was around and missing, then Clark will be all over Metropolis looking for the LOVE OF HIS LIFE. But in Smallville, Lois, Lois who? She was barely in the finale for goodness sake.
Erica Durance is officially in 11 1/2 episodes in Season 8!

I am so disappointed at the lack of Clois in the finale, I don't know what to say. Forgiveness for the Clana arc? Not even close. Even if there hadn't been a Clana arc, I would have been disappointed with the lack of Clois in the finale. :(
I am so tired of saying, "just wait for next season, it'll be great next season, we'll get a kiss next season."
This Clois fan is seriously, seriously bummed. :(

He was truly broken IMO he'd been looking for Lois since the burial of Dooms so that says something, especially when he didn't bother to not even notify or comfort Chloe.

I no longer believe anything I hear about potential CLois moments. I still havent forgiven or forgotten about the rumor that Clark acknowledges or realizes his feelings for Lois which never happened. Then it was either a rumor in season 6 or 7 that Clark*Lois were going to become closer and that turned out to be a snooze. This show lies about almost everything when it comes to those two.

i think clark has been looking for lois !! i also thimk he didnt comfort clhloe because he blames her !!! he made damn sure he told HER , that clark kent is dead!! HE WALKED OUT ON CHLOE!!! i think when clark saw the phone booth ...and then doomsday he assumed that lois was dead, cuz there is NOWAY lois lane would miss out on a chance to see the RBB!!! and when he didnt see her .....i also think when he realized he "lost " lois thats when he decided that having feelings for people makes ya weak!!! clark lost the one person who kept him honest , the one person who accepted him for who he was ...and was nt following him around whining"tell me your secret or i dont trust you "clark lost his soul!!! but ...thats just me!!! i love CLOIS!!! when clark finds lois or when lois finds clark ...thats when the REAL story will begin!!! i guess i had alot to say!!000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000:o0000000000000000000

I am completely agree with you...
For all Lois/Clark/RBB was magic included the Clark's reference Abouth Lois when he was talking with Chloe...
- Lois Made commentary to Clark about who Close he is with her and cryptic,
- The Director made a BIG ZOOM IN to the word GOODBYE... and after that Clark looked for Lois face....;)
- He Knows she is so stressful about Chloe missing;)
- He or RBB had been keeping an eye on You!!!!:D
- If you read the RBB' goodbye Lettler is so cool, to me it sounded like how Lois was in Stilletto
-Lois said to RBB some thing like I true you can Find Chloe
- When He knows about his next death, he did not call Lana or Marta ;)
with Chloe conversation:
- He showed her that for him was so important fine Lois, more than told everybody that he is still "alive".. I maybe he is "the someone" that was checking on the missing people face files..
- for me, Clark's humanity is lost because of Lois more that jimmy's death..
- He is really Bad, the 2 persons to said him something like "I true on" today are Gone... It is Hard:(
It was the scene where they killed Jimmy Olsen of course.

i think he was so heartbroken he couldnt bear it...
so saaadd
but forgiveness??? when they killed my second favourite character??
meh. i'd rather chloe lol.
i just loved jimmy... really loved him lol hope his lil bro can live up to expectations

Dominicus, you are so insightful!! Thank you! Clark's big mistake was sending Jimmy to look after Chloe and Davis. There's a lot of guilt there.
I hope that people can see how significant that scene really was. The metaphoric death was brought on by Lois Lane in Clark's mind dying at the hands of DD.

As much as I hated Power & Requiem and prior to this episode labelled Power as the worst Smallville episode ever, I think I will have to change my mind given the damage caused by this episode. This was without question the worst finale in the show's history. And given how they destroyed a character who had been on the show for 3 years, and mocked his existence as not being the iconic character the previous DVD set said he was along with flopped in the worst possible way what was supposed to be an epic fight, and setting up the show to be all about the JLA next season than be about Superman, I have to say this episode takes the cake for worst ever episode period. As bad as the Lana arc was and as much as I loathe the Lana character, this episode had great expectations and was the biggest insult ever. I so wish now that this was the series finale so the story could have been completely different and ended respectfully.
As bad as the Lana arc sucked, this entire episode & its consequences suck 100000000000 times worse.

ITA with these and other similar sentiments. Also, I heard Clark say Lois's name when he sees the phone booth just before jumping off with Doomsday. It made me wonder if that was the phone booth she was supposed to be at or if he was thinking of her upon seeing a phone booth.
Have to agree with Latingirl, too.
