I was never really a Jimmy or Chimmy fan, but when they were talking I really started to like him and them together. But right when Jimmy said (I'm paraphrasing) you can look up here and see that I'm always watching over you, right then realized Jimmy's a goner. That was really sad :(

I didn't see this coming. I had heard there were supposed to be deaths, but Jimmy was the LAST person I would have suspected...so sad. But people are right, the young kid is the real Jimmy from the comics if they stick to the story. Found this on wikipedia from Jimmy Olsen:

"In the finale of Season 8, Jimmy is killed by Davis Bloome who was, at the time, very much human. At his funeral, his full name is revealed to be Henry James Olsen, not James Bartholomew Olsen. His camera is given to his younger brother. His name is not mentioned but the boy is wearing a bowtie leading to the possibility this is the Jimmy Olsen that will befriend Superman."

Props to Smallville for sticking to the comic storyline.

Good bye Jimmy you will be missed. I have always liked you as a character and I am sad to see you go. I am glad that in the end he knew the whole truth and that brings a smile to my face.
