Get off the farm and join the 21st century Clark!!!!!!! Everybody on Smallville has a safe. Clark wants to store all his crystals, kryptonite, keys, and rings in desk, under barn floor boards, and now a tool box. I'll bet someone could steal his life saving by taking the kitchen cookie jar.

I must admit that is pretty funny, and I thought the same thing. What if he went to sleep and a tornado came? It would be safer to store things in the storm cellar.

I was thinking the same thing why would you hide the most important thing under a couple wood planks in obvious view.

I always thought he should rebuild it after it was destroyed in Exodus. He should have left it in the Fortress or buried in some snow in the Arctic.

yea i was like you coulid at least put a lock on it? but then again i doubt that would deter anyone who wanted to take it; seeing as how it would either be someone kryptonian or at least non human or rich & powerful like tess and i think a lock wouldn't really stop them anyways.

but he could at least bury it or something!

it sure would have stopped Chloe from going to the phantom zone and pulling the crystal out.

What good would a safe or a lock do? If someone wants something bad enough, they will steal whatever you have locked up. Remember Ollie got into the safe at the mansion with no problem.

So your point is why not make it easier for them?
To the OP now that you mention it it is very stupid what he is doing, always hiding his crap under a floorboard in the barn. I wonder how his parents never caught him looking at Playboy

I've thought this myself. Too funny!

This implies that snow white Clark would bring himself to do such a thing but we all know that Clark is THE moral compass of SV. He'd never look at Playboy. ROTFL...not sure if even I believe this BS.

Clark hides his stuff in the most obvious places. A hollow book? under the floorboard? Come on, I've seen people hiding stuff in those places almost in every detective movie and everyone finds them without much of a search.

I think it's time for Clark to keep the important stuff in the fortress. Discs, crystals, whatever. he should run to the fortress if necessary, and the portal in the cave should be closed forever. But, in case he decides to keep stuff in his house, he should hide them where no one could find them. Like the top of windmill or under the weather vane on the barn's rooftop. a place that is really inaccessible for humans.

I wandered into this thread expecting something completely different ;)

You'd think, given that he could hide things anywhere in the world, that he'd pick a better spot than a toolbox in his barn. Silly boy.

If you want to hide something put it in a place where no one would want to look. Like your underwear drawer.

I don't think the carpet is random. That whole barn is random so it doesn't stick out, but it's still pretty funny =D

YEAH! It was incredibly dumb. You're walking in the barn and you see wood and hay and...Hey, wait a minute, what's that dirty piece of cloth doing here? Oh! What's that? There's something here! A CRYSTAL!

Lol yea really what is clark thinking half the time! He has this great amazing fortress that surely no ones not going to just stumble upon yet he chooses to keep things under floorboards and in desk drawers. Maybe if clark would have thought "hey maybe i shouldnt keep this here" then chloe wouldnt have stopped him from throwing DD in the PZ and tess wouldnt have stolen the crystal! It's no wonder clarks referred to as BDA.

After seeing Superman Returns I must admit Im a little warry of keeping things hidden in the FOS. But seriously, dig a hole in the middle of the desert and bury stuff there. Its not like he couldnt find it again.

The bad guys have nothing on the cops for trashing your place to find the thing they want that they think your hiding. Try taking all the covers off outlets and switches, opening everything that can hold anything and slashing all pillows, mattresses, cushions. If more people had Xray vision less stuff would get broken.
