Having trouble with polls

Could someone please help me with how the polls work? I want to make a thread with a poll, but checking the box next to "Yes! post a poll" is doing nothing for me. When I preview the post, all I see is the message. How am I supposed to make a poll??

did you figure it out?

making a poll is a two step process. first is the initial thread and first post. then comes making the poll and the options. i think you only went halfway through when you clicked on the preview button.

Thank you, Disco. I realized it took more than one step when I replied to a different thread and the message came up that if I chose to do a poll, they'd let me do it then. I appreciate the help. :)
