Who was in the orb? The orb was put by Jor-El to remove Clark's powers. How can it be BRAINIAC (he was combined into that metal ball), or zod or Zor-El??? Doesnt really make sense. If it was Jor-EL manipulating her into getting clark to destroy Doomsday, ok. But it didnt seem like it was. i think we need some Fortress of Solitude revival and Jor-El guidance on the show.

Okay for those of you that do not understand this. It was zod in the orb. Simple zod sent the orb to earth. It was never meant to help humanity. It was meant to be used to destroy. It took away Clark's powers and destroyed the fortress. So that we would have no defense against him I am betting that the orb will open the Phantom zone and let zod out. Zod knows that Clark will never kill a human. So the only other way would be to separate Davis from doomsday as a result giving zod. A body. As for the other part about being the savior. I think he just said that to make tess think she is helping a good person but in reality she stealing our destruction.

I get that its prob supposed to be zod, but like how can he get through the orb created by Jor-El? i hate plot holes like that ya know. Same with everyone fighting over and Lionel always knowing who the traveler was, when for like six seasons he didnt. Just one of the things that bothers me. i hope if it is zob, they at least explain why hes able to "go through" the orb

Your upset about the last scene? I didn't get to see the last five minutes because of a tornado watch that is nowhere near where I live, and is going the other way. In fact they are still talking about the frigging tornado 40 minutes later, so I can't see Supernatural either. Oh well about a week after the eighth season comes out on DVD the local here will rerun the Eps to make amends.

My thoughts:
They want Kal to try and kill Davis knowing full well it can't be done, one more death maybe all that's needed for Davis to die and the Destroyer to come back full time. Once the beast is back at full power Zod may try to posess the body (with Tess's body for Faora, but that's wishful thinking on my part:p)

Tess deep down wants to save the world, similar to how Lex did, and that makes her the easiest to manipulate

As I was watching it I thought maybe it was Zod & that he is using Tess as his vessel, but I don't know why Zod would be in an orb that Jor-El sent to Earth. Suggestions were made that maybe Jor-El didn't really have anything to do with it, which they might do, or that it is the Eradicator, which I kind of doubt. We'll just have to wait & see, won't we? In any case, I'm pretty sure next week will be the last episode for Tess!

however, i think when brainiac infected the fortress he was able to change the orb since the orb and the fortress are connected. He then went on to try and create doomsday so that he can kill clark thus making it easier for Zod to return and recreate krypton on earth through kandor

Tess then goes back to the mansion and the orb starts talking to her. Apparently whoever was talking to her throught the orb convinced her to get rid of the phantom zone crystal. Don't really know what all the orb said, but the name Kandor was dropped!

I'm not convinced it was zod (isn't he supposed to be in the phantom zone?) but who knows...it did sound like two voices speaking simultaneously, one male and one female.

Also, it definitely was not Terrance Stamp's voice.

Someone else said that could be the Eradicator. I think that's an amazing idea. It would make sense, why he's in the orb, Jor El could have put him in there and the producers did say the someone new was coming. Also In the comics, Eradicator took Supermans body to the fortress after he died from his fight with Doomsday, it all makes sense.

I think the watched "Lord of the Rings" before they started filming. With all this "magic" ring stuff and "magic" orb stuff going on, I keep expecting to see Zod's essence in the Fantom Zone in the form of a giant flaming eye at the top of a crystal tower. Kandor was the capitol city of Krypton. It was stolen and miniaturized by Brainiac who was not Kryptonian in this story line. It originated on the SuperFriends cartoon and is used to great effect in the recently published book, "The Last Days of Krypton." written by Keith J. Anderson. I think he did such a good job with the material that his take should become Canon in the Superman mythology.

maybe is not the same orb. maybe an orb in krypton was like a cell phone in earth (a lot of uses in one device)
