Yes...The second half picked up though and I thought less about it.

I think that TPTB could have had some kind of roll for her and TOM directing
would have put the two together nicely.

I'm gonna be honest, not really; for me, anyways. She wasn't needed in this episode.

Not really.. not sure where she would have fit in.

Much more Chloe/Tess geared episode.

There now seems to be two Smallvilles:

1) One connected to traditional Superman lore, which is lighter in feel and not heavy handed

and

2) dark knight-esque Smallville, where all is dark and foreboding

Lois seems to be in the former more so than the latter...not sure how I feel about this...

No. It's great that she wasn't here to ruin what was a great episode.

This episode needed a boost that only our iconic Lois Lane could give!;) I just yawned throughout the entire episode...until the end, I was just scratching my head.

I missed Lois a LITTLE bit, but I can see why they didn't include her. It would've been hard to shoehorn her character into an already tightly packed episode, filled with plenty of characters who got next-to-know development nor backstory.

Yes, I do agree with you, SGuthrie. Somehow her brand of humour wouldn't have fit in to this episode something I truly enjoy about her (she has great lines!), though I did miss her! Oh well only a week away until we get to see her again.

Lois was missed and a creative non-confusing non-flat storyline was also missed. Maybe the interesting and fun stuff went on a mini-vacation with Miss Lane!

I missed Lois. However, seeing as how I didn't like Injustice, I'm glad she wasn't in it.

I consider an episode without Lois to be like being on a diet. You may get what you need, but not what you want. Lois adds enormous flavor and texture to any episode she is in. I really missed her in this episode. It was functional, but kind of blah. Tess is like garlic....tasty, but causes horrible indigestion...

Also, can I just say how much I love NY Strip & Prime Rib...I mean Oliver & Clark...<G>

Can anyone tell I'm on a diet??? LOL!

To me one SV is close to mythos, fun and full of action the other half try to look dark but comes out being lame and melodramatic.

Well, I AM a cloiser. Though I prefer saying Lois and Clark or Clark and Lois. I am not very fond of linking names. ;)

I am not going to say that you are completely right, because I really liked Prey and Bulletproof, two episodes where Lois wasn't around. But that was pretty much it. The rest of non-Lois episodes where a true disappointment. From Season 4-6, I used to love some non-Lois episodes. In season 7, there wasn't one non Lois episode I enjoyed, and I watched ALL of them. This season I only liked two. *sigh* And I tried hard. I didn't even liked Legion. And it wasn't because of Lois's absence. It was just... silly, I guess. I don't know if I was expecting too much, because it was Geoff Johns, but I was truly disappointed.

Well, one week to the finale, I guess.

^ Yeah, seven days can't pass quick enough! I like Prey and Turbulence (Jimmy!). Legion don't live to my spectatives: Legionaries trying to kill Chloe!, I don't like her but I don't wanna a "hero" taking the killing choice.

Unless is Davis/Doomsday, IMO he's not human.

I always miss Lois. There was really nothing for her to do in this episode though. Between the 45 minute limit and all the commercials... I would have liked to have seen Lois worried about Chloe being missing or maybe a mention of it but *shrug*

MM was mentioned by Dr. Emil Hamilton. <3

I missed Lois but glad she wasn't around. Keep all the crazies far, far away from HER please!

Yes, I can see your point of view. However, next week's episode might be combining both types of episodes into one!

Really? Lois wouldn't fit in an episode where her cousin is missing? Where she can investigate all on her own to find out what happened?

Frankly I find it insulting to say that Lois has no place in an episode simply because she doesn't know Clark's secret. Makes me wonder how Lois & Clark did it for 2 straight seasons.

She hasn't been in the last 2 episodes, and I have to say that I do miss Erica. For some reason, my reactions while watching the episodes are affected in a positive way by her presence in them. I have always been a huge fan of Lois Lane (due to the Superman movies, I only saw the pilot episode of the LnC Adventures). So I always get a huge thrill to see her on SV.

Here's hoping for more Lois Lane / Erica Durance in season 9!!

I missed Lois sooooooooo much!! But I'm glad she didn't have to say any of this lame dialogue or get caught up in the snooze-fest!

I think when they get uber-Kryptonian, it's hard to have her involved. With the exception of the early DP scene, I don't know where they would have fit her.

There was so much going on that I didn't have time to miss her, but I'll admit, when the episode was over I thought: "this episode would have been a lot different had Lois been around."

I'm okay with her not being around though. She doesn't know anything about Doomsday, and because of that, I don't think she would have contributed much to the story.

She is always missed. They failed miserably this year with her episode count including saying she'd initially be in this and then taking it back. The showrunners best correct this mistake in Season 9.

And for the 8 zillionth time, if she "doesn't fit" in these episodes it is because they wrote them knowing they couldn't use her in them. That is why the second half has been two completely different shows.

I always miss her but some episodes she's better off away from, I'd say Beast and Injustice are definitely two of those.

It was the best episode that Lois wasn't in of the season.

I must be one of the very few here who just did not like Injustice. A real disapointment after Beast, which I thought was great.

I would have loved to have seen Lois. I do miss her but because the episode was shoddy, it was probably best that we didn't her. On the other hand, she may have provided some light to what was overall imo a insipid episode.

I agree, it's great to see her back, when she is missed in a few episodes. She wasn't really relevant in this one (though I bet in some way they could have), but I sure look forward to see her in the next.

It's been all or nothing with Lois on episodes this season, though I will say that the "alls" have been well worth it. Hope she factors in big time for the season finale.

it was interesting though that Erica/Lois was originally meant to be in this episode, and it wasn't for a long while were we found out that she was taken out of this episode's plot not long after the producers found out that they had another season.

'I Just Dont Get It'... How can you leave a Major character out for so long and make her fit-in in the Finale????
What... Lois is going to jump in and know whats been going on with Chloe/DD,Clark/RBB and etc, etc.
I'm just saying it would have been nice to see her in this episode,so she would have know whats S*** is happening...bla,bla,bla

No, I did not miss Lois in this episode. I never miss Lois when she's not in a episode. I usually enjoy Lois free episodes and this episode was no exception.
