(Sorry for the confusing title. I couldn't think of a better way of titling this thread.)

Obscura - Chloe is kidnapped and Lana is having visions of her attacker. Meanwhile, Lex finds a piece of the ship in Miller's Field and Clark asks Chloe to the spring formal.

Calling - Clark hears a voice telling him that the day is coming. Dr. Walden dies trying to kill Clark. Clark and Lana finally get together. Lex steals Clark's blood from Helen's office.

Forsaken - Emily Dinsmore returns to prevent Lana's departure to Paris. Clark decides to tell Lana his secret to prevent her departure to Paris. Pete decides to move to Wichita after Frank Loder tries to beat Clark's secret out of him. While Chloe finally comes through for Lex, and he restores her deleted voice mail confession from Lionel.

Forever - Clark must stop the school photographer after he sets up a fake high school and uses his ability to petrify people to kidnap students- including Chloe and Lana- to keep the glory days of high school going forever. Meanwhile, Lex and Lionel are kidnapped and tortured by the Teagues in an effort to find the Kryptonian artifact, revealing that Lana has it.

Oracle - Clark is stunned when he sees his father’s ghost, but becomes even more confused after Jonathan tells him he must kill Lionel. Meanwhile, Lex develops a vaccine for Fine’s deadly virus, but Fine intervenes and injects him with the vaccine, which causes a shocking reaction in Lex.

Prototype - Lex has been secretly trying to turn Wes Keenan, a military man who supposedly died fighting in Afghanistan, into a "super soldier" by injecting him with DNA pulled from the various meteor freaks he has captured. After a crooked senator threatens to expose his secret labs, Lex dispatches Wes to kill the senator, but Lois witnesses the attack and inadvertently becomes the super soldier's next target. Clark asks Lana for any information she might know about Lex's project.

Quest - Lex is attacked by a cloaked stranger who carves Kryptonian symbols into his chest - a message for Clark. Chloe and Clark investigate and discover one member of the Veritas clan has survived and is hiding in a church. Clark and Lex race to be the first to find this mysterious Veritas member, who holds the key to Clark’s survival.

Injustice - Chloe returns and begs Clark to kill Davis, claiming he can no longer keep the beast under control. Tess has assembled a team of meteor freaks, including Plastique, to track down Davis so Clark can kill him. However, things get out of hand once Tess’ team discovers she is double-crossing them.

(Thanks to the Smallville Wiki for the descriptions! :D)

From those, I choose Protype, with Quest in second

Let's see if Injustice can beat them

I love how they say Clark and Lana "finally" get together. Only took 1 seasons and 22 episodes(I believe Accelerate was episode 21 of 23 that season). That was one thing about the relationship that started getting ridiculous after awhile, they couldn't last more then 3-4 episode together before something goes wrong.

tbh their relationship problems i could easily overlook in the beginning it was in s5 that it became ridiculous. I still think Calling should easily beat the episodes listed but i have strange feeling that injustice (good or bad) will win

I personally wasn't a fan of the Season 2 ender/Season 3 opener, although more of that was to do with Clark's actions in Exile then any of the season 2 stuff. I can't honestly say I remember any scene in Calling(I remember stuff I either really like or really hate), although if I watched it would instantly come back.

But yeah for polls like this the newer stuff usually fresher in the memory.

Just doing a quick Smallville wiki search, it refreshing my memory. It had the Lana Birthday Cake scene(I thought that was season 1 for some reason) and the Chloe running off at the end scene(I knew that somewhere near the end of S2)

I really liked all these episodes. Forever was kinda wierd though. I did, however, like the last day of school theme and Chloe's farewell to the torch.

Oracle, Prototype and Quest so far I liked better than the season finales that followed. Hopefully Injustice will be good but Doomsday even better.

S1 Tempest (Season Finale)
Tornado comes to town, Clark and Chloe dance for a bit, Whitney goes away, Lex might let Lionel die.

S2 Accelerate
Lana gets a visit from former friend now ghost, who is actually kryptonite-enhanced. Clark saves her. Lex discovers Lionel is behind the episode...

S3 Forsaken
Clark wants to tell Lana his secrets, crazy FBI guy hurts Pete, Pete then cries and leaves until Hero. Lex tries to find evidence to imprison Lionel.

S4 Forever
School-obessed wax man makes a fake school, and holds Chloe and Lana. Clark and Lois to the rescue. Meanwhile the Teagues and Luthors tussle.

S5 Oracle
Clark gets a visit from Johniac, who tells him to waste Lionel. Lex gets in too deep with Milton and gets needled.

S6 Prototype
Lex makes a super GI Joe who kills that old guy, then tries to kill Lois. She knows him so he waits for a bit. Clark and Lana have a whisper and Martha thinks of leaving.

S7 No episode found

S8 InJustice
Chloe decides running away with Dooms was a bad idea, she goes to Clark. Tess unleashes her gang to find Dooms, and Ollie gets involved too.

Season 7's 21st episode was the best. That was the one where Shelby had the sex change. ;)

Seriously though, Oracle and Prototype are my two favorite's so far. Hopefully, Injustice will be the best!

"Tempest", "Forever", and "Oracle" are my favorite 21st episodes. "Tempest" has the advantage of being a Season Finale though. I hope and think "Injustice" will beat them. http://www.kryptonsite.com/forums/images/icons/icon10.gif

So far Tempest is my favorite. So far based on the promo they showed last week, I think Tempest will still be my favorite 21st episode. Oracle was pretty good too. I wonder if anyone will be celebrating Clark's birthday in Injustice since in Oracle we learned his birthday is May 4 and has always been towards the end of the season (Calling, Talisman & Oracle). Based on Jor-El choosing Calling to be the first time he contacted Clark, I would probably say it was by coincidence his real birthday as well since that was the day Jor-El believed Clark was ready to start his "mission".

I thought Quest was the best pre-finale episode. Great rarely used since soundtrack, story was good, and as a whole the episode had a very dark scifi show feel to it, with a lack of teeny bopper CW nonsense. I was hoping Season 8 would have more stories formatted like that (but of course in different ways so they aren't the same story) but it didn't. Calling came in second. Season 3 is the best and my favorite, but its episode 21 was just okay.

Calling, Obscura & Oracle are my top 3 choices in that order & I voted for all 3.

Calling was amazing and left the episode in the most anticipated way for a non-finale episode. I loved the stuff with Dr. Walden.

i agree calling was a great prelude for exodus it was just wonderfully written, injustice on the other hand didnt serve imho as great setup for doomsday it was just poorly written.

Y'know, it's pretty sad that they haven't really had all that many great penultimate episodes (in my opinion) since the airing of "Calling." It did the best job of setting things up for the season finale, and had lots of amazing plot and character development all of its own. I thought "Oracle" did a pretty decent job of doing the same thing, and of course I love "Obscura," but more for the Chlarky moments than anything else. :D

I didn't really like the Calling.

I just rewatched Calling and while not bad I have to agree.

Let's see

Clana kiss, then they break up(wooohooo just what we need angst) but by the end of the episode they Kiss again(I think that is the record for the most break ups and makeups in 1 episode), then Clark's jackass of an AI father calls out to him(he is going to "rule the world" and even worse become a depressed fool who does something idiotic, because "it's all his fault")

In the meantime

In 42 minutes of episode we see our hero Clark Kent, do one thing that could remotely be considered heroic as he hunts down the evil Dr Waldon, who shoots out a firebeam out of his hand to blow himself up. Cool Special Effect I must say.

We find out that Clark's evil Mom denied ever giving him birthday parties for the first 13 years he was on the Earth, but thankfully the wonderful Lana broke evil mom's witchy ways buy baking Clark a cake

Clark gives a speech for Lex and Helen that is really a speech about him and Lana. *wink* *wink* Sadly it took 4 years for him to follow his own advice and actually go for it in reguards to Lana(that after she was married to the Groom Clark was giving the speech to in this episode)

and oh yeah

WAH WAH WAH, Clark Kissed Lana, Chloe runs off crying(just what we need more angst, as if the Clark and Lana rollercoaster wasn't enough this episode) ready to accept Lionel's wonderful offer to stab her future BFF in the back(was Chloe turning on Clark really needed, came off like Drama for the sake of Drama)

The more I think about it, an episode like that makes me have a new found respect for an episode that Clark Kent faces a guy who seems to want High School to live on forever and freezes people and brings then to an old building, because you know we actually see Clark do hero stuff in that plus the added bonus that there is no angst and stuff that makes Clark (or any other character for that matter) depressed
