I'm in the middle right now...I personally think she's doing it for both.
But I definitely think chloe needs a nice love thread right about now. :)

So hopefully people who are against her at this point....can respect the Chloe fans enough to be respectful in here.....please?:\

She said flat out that she's doing everything for Clark. There is no doubt in my mind that she is completely in love with him. She's even willing to sacrifice her own life to save Clark.

I don't think Chloe is in love with Clark. Please don't let her still be in love with Clark - eight years is too long to pine for someone and I thought the writers were past the whole unrequited love thing. I think Chloe is still in love with Jimmy and I think she's in love with Davis but has a heck of a case of denial. I'm kind of confused by her, I think she's confused herself. I'm glad she's trying to protect Clark, but I think she's lying to herself if she thinks she's ONLY doing this for Clark. That being said, I still appreciate and like her character. I'd just like to get her plugged back up to the lie detector test, so that I can see what's really going on inside Chloe's mind.

The way Im looking at it, it comes down to 2 things:

1) She already killed Davis to save Clark.

2) She was crying when she was talking to Clark on the phone. If she actually wanted to go away with Davis she wouldn't have been upset at all.

Nice effort ... but be prepared for being burned at stake and Chloe bashing .... after some time you will kind of get used to it ... I know I did, and the only thing I do now is laugh ....

Go Chloe! saving clark/world/davis at the same time. She calms the beast in davis so he no longer becomes doomsday hence saving innocent people/davis/clark. Better than olivers option of risking clarks life to the kill the unkillable monster. seriously she is sacrificing her whole life to save davis. better hero than oliver

what has chloe done to deserve appreciation if anything her actions should be condemd. She is aiding and abbedding a serial killer "the ultimate destoyer" doomsday. She knows he's a ticking time bomb bent on destroying clark and all humanity and yet when she's offered a way to save clark and keep davis alive at the same time she turns it down because poor davis might be cold and lonely, news flash davis bloome is not a human being he's a monster literally and figuratively at best he deserves to be locked up for the rest of his very long life at worst he needs to be beaten to death by clark (which is what's probably gonna happen).

[MOD EDIT] I have to say I loved LOVED Beast For me it was the BEST episode of Season 8 seriously it was soo good it kept me glued to the tv all night long I was so interested in what was going to happen or not happen. & the interaction between all the cast was brilliantely done :)!! I have to say it was amazing. I loved like the way they fit everything together. & THE KISS!!!! omg sooooo good gosh Allison & Sam gosh they are so hot together amazing Chemistry :) I want to see more of that in the next few episodes & hopefully if I hope & hope haha they will have more of it in Season 9

Some of the Chloe fans are staying out of Beast section, because alot of bashing for her, there in the Chloe thread in spoilers. I just came here to look, and I'm gone again.

I loved Chloe tonight. She proved herself to be an EPIC hero on Smallville tonight.

Everyone was doubting her and in the end Clark, only Clark, understood what was going on.

It's good to have TEAM Chlark back in the house.

The bigger problem is that there seems to be no distinction between actual bashing and people who have legitamate reasons to be upset about her actions tonight, so that any post that doesn't begin with "ITA with everythin chloe did tonight, and chloe rocks" is seen as "bashing". I'm not a hater nor a basher and the exclusivness of this thread is just as rude and undermining as people saying things like "chloe's dumb" or "Lois is stupid" or "Lana's a big ho".

I think that Chloe is making some bad choices. She's doing what she is in an attempt to protect her best friend. I think she's wrong but I think the hate against her is unnecessary.

chloe is giving up her life to save the world because she is the ONLY one that actually save davis and stop doomsday. she is a hero imo

Is she? Then why would she not let Clark vanish Doomsday to the Phantom Zone? Chloe is willing to risk the world's lives in order to keep Doomsday around. She won't let Clark vanish him!

Yeah I loved how Clark understood Team Chlark is awesome & I think it will just keep getting better & better.

& I am sorry thehenry89 but this is def not worse than those dumb threads going on about Chloe ;) I know you are just stating your opinion but I really don't think that saying Chloe Rocks which by the way she does!!! Is anyway worse than Chloes dumb blah blah blah

Thank you Julie see you understand she did wrong yet you see that the bashing is wrong which is what I am trying to put there.

I don't find hate threads any more productive than "chloe's awsome" threads. because the very nature of them is exclusive. I'm not going to go around saying hateful things about chloe but I"m not going to be told I'm a hater for being critical of her actions.

The problem is that there's too much ''Chloe should die'' ''Chloe is dumb'' ''Chloe is an hypocrite'' Chloe is this and that'' and so much posts filled with hostility instead of anything constructive.

Chloe's intentions are good. But shouldn't she let Clark handle it? Is she too emotionally involved?

Or Chloe's plan is actually good?

I think it should have been best to put him i the PZ. Simple. Problem done.

But Its easier for me to say since I'm not in Clark and Chloe's shoes and dealing with disposing of a person. Chloe has an connection to Davis and she deeply feel sorry for him. She wants to protect Clark and help Davis also. She doesn't want to fail.

I'm not bashing Chloe. I'm simply talking about her story arc here. Chloe has always been one of my favorite characters, I simply disagree with her story direction this season.

She is doing it for Clark. I knew this was going to happen, sometimes I dislike visiting this site because of all the Chloe bashing. I am sure if it were another character doing this like mmm L :rolleyes: this would be so different, she would be doing it for Clark. I am glad you made this thread and I am surprise for the few responses, what happen to all the Chloe love? I also wanted to stay out of the Beast thread because I knew there would be bashing no matter what Chloe does people seem to always find something bad to say. well im sorry you feel that way thehenry89 but I still feel the way I do & I am not changing it. The moral behind all those are just pure Chloe haters & it's ridiculous I wanted this thread so people can actually recognize the good stuff

fair enough but what you're asking for is a homogenous agreement of one opinon which is wrong and unrealistic.

And I've seen alot of people being called "haters" for simply stating an opinion.

Allison Mack as Chloe was amazing in this episode! And I love her character. I would have made all of the same decisions she did in this episode. So everyone feel free to go ahead and judge me! :)

Chloe is one of the best characters ever written for a television show. And Allison Mack was definitely key in helping bring her to life and adding little nuances here and there.

What I love about Chloe this season is that we DON'T know exactly what's going on inside her head. It's ambiguous. Just about every other season, we always knew what Chloe was thinking, because she was eyes of the audience. We could see inside her head, and feel how much she loved Clark, and how passionate she was about her dreams. BUT NOW, we have no clue. Chloe, in a way, has become a mystery. And more depth and layers have been added to her character. I mean honestly, her character is brilliant.

Well anyway, this season really adds a lot of depth to Chloe. We're trying to figure her out, just like she's trying to figure it all out herself.

In my opinion Chloe does still love Clark, but she's also in love with Davis (she just hasn't admitted it yet; obviously she thinks about it in her subconscious). Every choice she's making right now is to protect both Clark and Davis. She wants to save both of them. And I can't really blame her. It's not Davis' fault he's a monster.

Chloe is the real hero of the show if you ask me.
