Which regular Smallville character would you have wanted to be on tonight?
*Tess Mercer
*Miss Lois Lane
Miss Lois Lane all the way, although I have a soft spot for Tess.

I would've liked Lois' take on what her cousin is up to. Will she just be completely clueless in Doomsday? :/

I wouldn't have wished either of them to have been stuck on what this episode sounded like it was. I'd of had a new episode 20 written for Lois to be in.

I hate that Lois has been in the dark all season about what's up with Chloe. And its got nothing to do with her not knowing Clark's secret, because Jimmy knows. I think they dropped the ball on that story angle. As her cousin she should have been more involved. And the fact that they haven't written her the least bit interested in the mysterious murders is complete OOC for Lois....

Tess since she knows about DD.....If Lois was on the show she will be lied too anyways.

neither, I wouldn't wish any of them being on this crappy episode, in fact I wished Clark or Jimmy and Oliver weren't there neither

Neither but if I have to choose, I say Tess Mercer. She would have added to the story plus she's actually involved in the main storyline this year. Lois would have only gotten in the way and would have made it harder for the actual storyline to move forward.

Tess would have been better in this episode.

Unfortunately, I have to agree. There is just too much SUCK'age associated with this show. As much as I love CK/Superman, I can probably count on 2 hands how many episodes didn't suck during the first 7 seasons. Thank God for the first half of season 8. It had it's plot holes, but it also had CLois which lends MUCH forgiveness.

I think the episode was fine as it is. I wanted to see Tess last week actually and find out that she wanted Chloe's laptop.

Both Lois and Tess are really great characters but I guess I would go with Lois if I had to choose.

Lois. I think this episode worked without her but I would've preferred seeing her over Tess Mercer, who I don't really care for.

IMO, this IS a very good question. I missed them both, however Tess has 'Knowledge' about who Clark and Davis really are and may have been added to the story with some relevance. It would've been interesting to have her interact with Oliver, except she doesn't have Knowledge of his GA identity.
On the other hand, Lois is Chloe's cousin and only family she's in close contact with, except for the second half of this season. Chloe's been distant and strange, and even though Lois was her maid of honor and wedding planner, and let's not forget that she stayed with Jimmy while he recovered in the hospital after the wedding, the cousins have Not been spending any time together since the wedding. Regardless, Lois should be aware of all of the BIG things that are now happening with Chloe, especially her leaving town with Davis.

I would prefer Lois, but I don't know what her purpose would be in this episode. I'm not too fond of Tess, even though her presence would make more sense. If neither was an option, I'd choose that. Though I had to choose one, so Lois.

Tess would have made more sense, but Lois just makes everything better, so Lois! :D

I really wanted to see Tess in this episode seeing as how she has the history with Davis.

Lois. I would have loved to have seen her knock some sense into Chloe.

Just like with Prey & Turbulence, this episode worked well without Lois who i did originally want in it.
Saying that, Lois is now the only character who does not know about Doomsday. Shes not in Injustice so she kind of needs to find out :\

I would have liked to have seen both of them. What's it going to take to see more than 4 regulars in an episode?Come on.

I love Lois, but this episode seems like it needed Tess in it. This is her dream. Clark and Davis getting to their destiny.

As much as I LOVE Lois and Erica, she really really wouldn't have fit in this episode. So, Tess.

I didn't miss either character. They weren't needed in this episode.

In most cases, I'd rather see Lois. For this particular episode, I think Tess would have made a lot more sense. Particularly considering her decision to put Davis on the front page of the DP played a pretty prominent role.

I really don't see how Lois could factor into this episode. Unfortunately, TPTB have chosen not to include Lois in the Doomsday storyline, for the most part. Tess would've made more sense, in this case, but she'll get her chance next week.

No competition for me, I would have wanted Lois, hands down. I miss her when she is not in an episode and Chloe really needs her cousin to talk some sense into her.

Lois would have been great, and I love her character. But personally, Tess would have made more sense, because of the fact that she is involved with the Doomsday plot.

Out of the two of them, Tess would have been less shoehorned in than Lois. But having them absent didn't take anything away from the episode.

Tess.
I don't want Lois anywhere near Davis/Doomsday!

Lois would have been good had there been considerable moments where she interacted with Chloe, spotted her lies, found out the truth & confronted her while at the same time Clark & Davis ended up in the Phantom Zone after Clark tried to put him there and the 2 battled it out without powers and both made it back to Earth by the end of the episode. That would have actually accomplished something. The plot we got was crap and didn't accomplish anything except get Jimmy sober again, which could have happened anyway.

At some point, they have to make Lois a part of her cousin's arcs. She hasn't been anywhere near the Brainiac and Doomsday stories. In this particular episode though, i would have liked to see Tess and what she made of Chloe's harboring of Davis.
