I'm a little confused by one line in the phone call scene. Maybe i have to watch the episode again and i missed something. Clark was saying to Oliver the Chloe couldn't possibly have real feelings for Davis.. but on the phone he said "admit it you you are doing it because you have feelings for Davis" (or something like that) a few minutes before he was saying different.

It was Oliver saying that to Clark and Clark don't understand Chloe is trying to protect him

Maybe the fact she showed up at the Fortress to rescue Davis.... that was a big clue lol.

I think it was the fact that Chloe was complicit in running away with Davis, knowing all the facts. Clark was convinced before that Davis had coerced or hurt Chloe to get her to go with him. But when she called Clark realized that she was leaving with Davis voluntarily and maybe Oliver was right about her feelings for Davis.

I think Ollie caused him to have doubts but as soon as Chloe told him her real motivation, those doubts were gone.

Clark knows what Oliver is saying is the truth, but he doesn't want to admit it to him, but he says it to Chloe and he's sure of it.

I think TPB are going to claim Battered Wife Syndrome as Chloes' defense.

he was just putting Chloe's back to the wall, as you do when you have trust issues in someone, and he got the answer he secretly wanted to hear: that she was doing it for him. He's not gonna just come out over the phone and say "Chloe, I know you don't have feelings for Davis". You want to hear it from the other person.

he asks her if it's true, because he didn't believe it. He was testing her IMO

Ollie got through his thick skull. Seriously, I've never seen anyone in as much denial as Clark was in that scene at the end with Ollie. He was close to just sticking his head in the sand and pretending it never happened

We'll know for sure if that's what they're doing the minute Davis is on screen wearing a white, wife beater tank tee!

I personally think the doubts are still there, along w/ mistrust and frustration. Clark smashed his phone and the filing cabinet after speaking to Chloe because he has no control now over a situation (thanks to Chloe stopping him from sending Davis to the PZ) that he knows is perilous to the entire planet! I'd smash my phone and a filing cabinet too!

He was in denial. Oliver proved he was the voice of reason in this episode, more Ollie and more GA (only if he isnt being a bad bad boy!)
