View Full Version : Um Hello!! Davis revealed he's IMMORTAL!

In the aptly titled "Eternal," Davis reveals to Chloe that he's immortal....IE: He can't be killed.

So what's all this talk about 'killing Doomsday' as an option?

Chloe should know that Clark CAN'T kill Doomsday (even if Clark wanted to).

(Even though, Clark should have clued in by now given how Davis rose from the dead twice [Clark somehow found out about the first time he ressurected])

It makes that Fortress confrontation scene seem really strange; especially when Chloe mentioned the Phantom Zone being a worse option than killing him.

Also,

Chloe is a mortal. Davis is immortal. How will Chloe's plan work once she's dead and Davis is still around?

The logic baffles me...

Anyone else perplexed by this?

it's human nature to think that people can't live forever

Doomsday was actually designed to get stronger through dying.

Clark killing him would actually just make Doomsday stronger.

The Phantom Zone was the best option.

I also was curious as to how Clark knew that he has rised from the grave before. I guessing Tess told him when she blew him up? Cause there is no way he would of known about fiona killing him in the hospital.

I don't think Oliver knows that he's immortal. But it should occur to him since he keeps on dying and coming back to life.

He kinda dug Davis' grave himself. One would think about undeads or immortals after learning it.

She probably knows this...but feels that as long as she can do it her way without killing him under her own hand then this is acceptable...essentially she feels responsible to save everyone for as long as she can

Exactly, and maybe in a few years Clark could find another way or Davis could have a permanent chemical change.

Remember what the doctor said? She could be the cure? This is the Queen of the Weird and Unexplained. She's not ready to throw in the towel just yet and she's taking Davis away because he's not behaving (he leaves the basement).

I am not surprised, SV has more plot holes than the Sweeden cheese....

The writers can't seem to remember what they just wrote few weeks ago :\

I agree with original poster. Chloe's logic has gone haywire. On the flipside, Clark is sending Davis to the PZ so he'll stop killing people on Earth, but what do you think he'll do in the zone? He'll kill everyone in the place! Doesn't that bother clark?

I don't read the spoiler/speculation threads anymore, because I found that I enjoy the epis much more without doing that (a great suggestion that triplet made). But I have a thought on what's going to happen at the end of the season: the only way to permanently kill Davis will be if Chloe performs her healing powers on him, which will result in the deaths of both of them. But I'm not sure if chloe still has these powers -- there seems to be some debate about this. However, Chloe's doctor in "Beast" mentioned that only she has the power to stop Davis. By not checking rumorville and the speculations thread, I don't know whether either of these characters are coming back next year..

Yeah, I kept yelling duh throughout the whole fraggin episode. It was one of the worst ---"The entire Scoobie cast are idiots" moments that kept repeating throughout the whole episode.

Everyone conveniently forgot you can't kill him, and kept talking about it as a feasible option. I hated it.

Wait, I thought Oliver said something to the extent that Clark should destory him for good? Meaning they knew he keeps returning from the dead but there if you destroy him for good he won't come back? Or maybe I imagined it?

I agree, throwing him into the PZ was the best option. It still is.

They could even pull a Mon-El on his ass and say that it's temporary till a cure can be found. Y'know, wouldn't want the serial killer to feel neglected

Why is killing him not feasible?
He has survived... Stabbing/Explosions/Kryptonite... so has many minions in the Smallville world. They do not know if he has an achillies heel or not. You on the outside know that killing him makes him stronger, they only know he comes back alive but so has Clark a billion times but we all know he is not immortal since K-Juice seems to be part of every science experiment and thug weaponry in S-World.

----- Added 4 Minutes later -----

Chloe should know that Clark CAN'T kill Doomsday (even if Clark wanted to).

How would Chloe know this, because Davis said so?
Too many comments assume the characters know Doomsday is unkillable when in the SMALLVILLE world there is little substantial proof.
