Best kiss on Smallville...ever. Talk about passionate. Man, Allison Mack and Sam Witwer got into it.

I loved how the kiss was meant to mirror the Casa Bronte: A Love Story movie poster behind them. You think Chloe's been seeing that poster a lot lately and couldn't get it out her mind?

Well anyway, everything about the scene was meant to invoke imagery of classic films. Chloe's dress was vintage style VERY reminiscent of the blond bombshell actresses of the 30's. Monster love stories were big back in the day! I guess they still are. :) Romantic vampire stories (like Twilight and Moonlight) have done wonders for this genre. Also Chloe's hair was done up nicely!

Then you have the old movie chairs, like the old theaters of the 1930's, the popcorn machine, the roses, etc...to set up the old-fashioned mood. (Not to mention the episode is called Beast, which has WAY more than one meaning. One thing every good Beauty/Beast type story usually has is what? A Rose. We had them in abundance tonight. Not to mention the constant monster/love/save me/ type comments through out.

All that leads up to that amazing kiss (obviously something Chloe really wants in real life). IT was WAY above a 10. Their chemistry was off the charts, and it was one of the most passionate kisses I've ever seen on television. Probably because there's been so much build up all season. Chloe was finally letting go, even if she could only allow herself to do it (so far) in her dreams.

I think her fantasy tells us where Chloe's heart is. She wants to be with Davis. All of his words are from her own subconscious. She's having an inner struggle. On the one hand, she REALLY wants Davis. But even in her dream, she's fighting against it at first. Then she gives into it, and REALLY gives into it. BUT, there's the other part of her that fears he will kill Clark. She's afraid she won't be able to save the two men she loves.

Her fantasy makes perfect sense. Because it reveals Chloe's thought process. Chloe kisses Davis in her dream because that's what she wants to do in real life. But seeing Clark dead in her dream is part of the reason why she hasn't kissed Davis.

It's all representative of her inner struggle. So I hope we'll get to see Chloe kiss Davis like that while she's not dreaming.

Thats why Davis says "What did you think was going to happen?" Kind of a wake up call in the dream for her.....almost like "did you think we were going to ride off into the sunset together, of course there's blood on the ground...I'm Doomsday!"

She's always thinking of Clark, and no matter how she feels for Davis....she knows what he's capable of. Thats what he dream represented.

I think it would have been worse if it was purely a sex dream, and the issue of Clark never came up at all. This way we know how much Clark means to her....she cant stop worrying about him. :\

Yeah sure, if you take away the fact that he is a killer, then yes the kiss was hot. But is the context that does indeed take away from it. You can't hide the fact that he just brutally killed a bunch of people and has Chloe take away the remains and then later on they kiss. :eek: (even if it was only in a dream)

Honestly, I not even really a big Clois fan, or at least not until after Clark becomes superman, but that's beside the point. I have always enjoyed Smallville, but IMO TPTB has made some choices that I have not neccessarily agreed with. I am fan of the Doomsday story from the mythology, so I think what they did with his character in Smallville is very disappointing. That's just my opinion though. I've enjoyed Smallville long before Davis Bloome got here, even though I still really enjoy it. I'll just be glad when his story arc finishes up and they move on. Even though I wasn't a fan of Chloe to begin with, I started really liking her character a lot starting around season 3. Now her character IMO has gone a little downhill. I was fine with her being a meteor freak. I was a little sad that she got fired from the Daily Planet but I got over it. I was really exicted that she became watchtower! But the fact that she chooses to love a guy who she knows is a killer and she is hiding him from Clark just disturbs me. I was not a Chlark fan either, but I was a fan of their friendship that had. Now its all down hill. But like I said, that's all just my opinion.

Well, in many ways Davis is like Clark. He's just a much darker version of him. There is no doubt in my mind that Davis has mirrored Clark, just as Chlavis has mirrored Chlark.

IA their chemistry is the most off the charts on this show; they do light up the screen when they're together. I'm glad TPTB are capitalizing on the chemistry and taking it as far as they can go without crossing certain lines.

I too have watched the kiss repeatedly, but that doesn't make me a pervert. They didn't go beyond kissing, if they had and I kept watching it, then I might be a perv. As it is, the kiss was extremely HOT and very intense. I've read some things about it, but I'm not sure how much is true as opposed to how much people are making their own minds up about it.

Anyway, Chloe should be with someone like Davis. IF he wasn't ultimately DD, then I'd say he's perfect for her. BUT, there's that DD side and Davis will eventually disappear forever (which is REALLY too bad and sad).

It's just too bad TPTB only think of Chloe as unworthy (for whatever reason) of a truly great, hot guy who only has eyes for her. Although Davis fills that role perfectly, he's STILL ultimately DD and that means she's not going to get the type of man she truly deserves.

They won't let her have Clark due to the stupid mythos (yes, I said stupid and I mean stupid). They gave her Jimmy, but that was a joke. They gave her Davis but she can't really have him because he's "not real".

Don't worry about throwing a dark cloud on Chlavis supporters. Chlavis is what it is; it was "doomed" from the start (as much as I hate that).

IF Davis wasn't ultimately DD, then I'd say they FINALLY gave Chloe the true guy of her dreams (since they won't let her have Clark for whatever reason).
