So Sylar actually belive he's Nathan. Here we go again. She making Sylar think he's her son again only this time Sylar think he's Nathan. Wonder how long it will be before he remember he's Sylar again. May not even want to be Sylar anymore once he had a taste of Nathan life for a few years.

Eh, I didn't like this that much. I think it's a weird way to end it, but it is interesting. Especially only that HRG and Parkman as well as Angela know the truth, everyone else thinks it's the real Nathan.

I think the writers are just going by the seat of their pants. They are just SO scared to kill off Sylar...as if he makes the show go round. Even a deranged serial killer with mommy issues is considered more of a joke now than Hiro...and that's saying something. Now you just know...Nylar is going to figure out he's really Sylar and we'll all hop on this rollercoaster....of "Who am I, Why aren't I special, and Wheres' my MOMMY" And in the end it's just STUPID. Kill him and move on already.

We obviously saw by episode's end that Nathan, who is really Sylar now, felt something was wrong and Sylar felt drawn to the clock because that is a strong memory for him. The point of this thread is to state that Nathan will stay basically die because Sylar will obviously figure out who he really is and that he is not Nathan. Therefore, once Sylr realizes this, there will be no more Nathan so enjoy his presence while we can. Share your thoughts!

Here's something even stranger... I agree with you.

I would think Sylar's healing ability should kick in at some point to recover his deleted memories. Didn't the same thing happen to Peter back in season 2 when the Haitian deleted some of his memories, his healing ability recovered them?

If the actor who play's Sylar isn't on the show no more, i guess Nathan will be the new sylar in next season.

As great as Zachary quintos performances have been this season...really, Sylar needs to go away now and they need to move on to someone else...I really believe S4 will be it for this show and it kinda deserves to be at this point.

True but he would have to consontart. I doubt anybody would tell him. Adam had to tell Peter about getting his memory back. In a way Sylar is dead in his mind but he can always come back. Maybe Sylar will be nicer in his new life. Always wonder what I would be like if I suddently forgot who I was.
When Claire find out daddy Nathan is Sylar she is going to be PO at her dad noah and her grandmother.

Peter and Sylar/Nathan stayed at the fire and stared at each other over the fire after everyone else walked away like they were mad at each other or something.
Does Peter know that Nathan is really Sylar? I don't think he would go along with it.

Sylar as Nathan isn't going to last thats for sure. Angela's expression said it all. It was like, "Oh crap, he's remembering".

Sylar is two smart to blow his cover if he remembers his identity. All Angela,Noah, and Matt did was role out the red carpet so to speak for Sylar to acomplish his goals of becoming President.

I didn't really hate the "twists" in this episode like some people did, but I do hope they do justice to these "twists" in S4/V5. Like, if the Nathan/Sylar story line sucks, then they really did train wreck tonight.

Maybe Sylar and not Nathan was the real death that will stick. Matt did say Sylar's dead when he was talking at the end.
They did say there would be easy for the actor to come back if he wanted to. If Sylar remembers who he is it would bring Zachary back. Pasdar will be there already next season guaranteed. Sylar could have been the death they were talking about.

Exactly, Sylar should have died in an epic battle between him and Peter in the season one finale. Sylar could have comeback in alternate time lines or had a twin like tracy....... Heroes really needed to move on to another villain, with a new psychology, adam was good, they should have never killed him off along with the time travel abilities.
The writers got lazy.

This was just a major cop out. The writer's way of having their cake and eating it too.
If Zach Quinto didn't want to return, that would have been fine, they could have just killed him off and prayed for a new villain that was half as good as he was... maybe even Alice... she looked sadistic enough...
But instead, they want to hold on to the character of Sylar and needed a way to do it, by killing off the real Nathan (who's a beloved character amongst fans... I think so anyway) that way Adrian Pasdar can play this weird mix of Nylar.
It lines up with the Five Years Gone storyline.... but it doesn't mean I have to like it. I think I officially gave up on this show tonight...

The end of the episode reminded me of the movie "I know what you did last summer". It had the sam kind of feel to it with Angela, Matt, and Noah making a pact to hide what they were going to do.

Its still lining up with 5 years gone.... There was no other way to do it... And it looks like he got nathan's power of flight, hence why he didn't chop his head open.
I hope Zachary quinto comes back

Its total bull....., 1. Sylars intuitive aptitude cant be broken with Parkmans mojo think Peter tried that in future and Sylar blocked him with no problem and whitout using any kind of telephaty, he just use his intuitive aptitude
2. He have regeneration so you cant erase him
3. Everytime Angela said him Nathan he know its a lie he is lie detector
4. I think they didnt tell it to Peter so when Peter touch him he will feel all Sylars powers and than he realise the truth
I cant stand this twist if Sylar will not come back soon than bye, bye show

I think he will or already does remember his true Identity and will choose to Stay Nathan. After all being a Senator is better than what he had before. Atleast he can take a minute to relax now. Sylar has had a abused life.

Yes, and even Peter wasn't around to let them know that was a possibility, didn't Angela herself have telepathically wiped memories restored by Linderman, prompting her to try to kill her husband?

Yea I think he has a good hunch or is willingly playing possum. At the end of the show, Nathan/Sylar said he doesn't feel like himself lately, and then he was intrigued with the clock. But I think if he doesn't know yet, it's just a matter of time. After years, you are prone to get into a few scrapes, especially flying, and I think he will find it kinda odd that he never gets a bruise, not to mention he can move stuff with his mind.

So if he walk around the Haitian would he suddently turn into Sylar. Sylar would be like how did this happen i'm in Sylar body. Then agin if that shapshifter could stay in Sylar from when he's dead then maybe Sylar could stay in Nathan from around the Haitain. Since Sylar belive he's Nathan whenever Peter read his mind he would never find anything about him being Sylar. Him being Sylar no longer exist in his mind. At least Claire will like him now. He always did want a family that loved him.

Sylar didn't use his power to make things dissenegrate into nothing. I thought he would have used it on Nathan and the bloody chair after he killed him so no one would see the evidence.

That may be intentional, as I think when I recal him saying laughing "Oh, Claire will be so made at me." just before he shapeshifts into Nathan again.
EDIT:

i don't think they should get rid of sylar. they need to work on his character. he's no longer the villian he used to be. so they might as well just make him a character that's in the gray. no pun intended. he's neither hero or villian. they need to introduce a new villian that is worse than sylar. i'm sure they intended that with arthur but that went nowhere.

I'm excited about the Sylar-as-Nathan storyline to come. I think an increasingly hybridized psychology of Nathan and Sylar will be fun to watch, I think that it has the potential to culminate into a variety of extremely divergent outcomes, and I think Pasdar as an actor is up to the task. Those moments in volume 4 where Sylar was disguised as Nathan say it all for me: Pasdar did a great job playing Sylar disguised as Nathan - the press conference the heroes watched from Coyote Sands comes to mind. So I'm keeping the faith - and looking forward to volume 5 for the possibilities.
