G.I. Joe: Resolute

Did anyone else catch this on Adult Swim last night?

After not really having decent G.I. Joe cartoons since 1987, this was definitely a step up. I wasn't totally sold on some of the voices but the animation was top notch. I'd love to see a series out of it, but as it was a one-off movie, that's why I put it under "anime" here...

I almost wish we were getting an animated G.I. Joe feature instead of the Rise of Cobra thing this summer. That, and I want a Resolute Snake-Eyes action figure like now. :)

I had no idea at all. I hadn't heard or read anything about it. And it's not like I never watch Adult Swim. :\

Maybe they will show again soon. I'll have to look for another air date.

I was surfing HULU on my PS3 last night with friends. We were watching Thundercats and the original He-Man. I'll check out the G.I. Joe ASAP.

Resolute

Still can't believe I knew nothing at all about it.

I started watching on my computer. My best friend showed up half way through (he's the bigger fan) so I had to fire up the playstation and start over. lol

You put it in the right place. It's anime at it's best and it's G.I. JOE!! It has everything from nanites to ninjas! I think I would give up a kidney to get a series. This realy was a pleasant suprise today. Thanks again!

I saw this last night. I thought it was pretty darn good. I am no fan of anime but I still enjoyed. I grew up w/the old 80's GI Joe series and I thought Resolute was much better. That's saying something b/c any cartoon or tv show that I grew up on that has been remade has always been total crap. Resolute was the exception. If they reair it, I highly recommend checking it out.

BTW, I loved that the whole Arashikage/Snake Eyes/Storm Shadow storyline was included in this eventhough they changed some of it from the comics.

heh, that's the part which imo had the most anime "feel" to it...i think a quite often people don't like anime just because they have never experienced good anime.

The only reason I knew about it is because it took over Bleach's timeslots lol. Resolute was good though.

If anybody cares, Resolute will be out on DVD on Nov. 3. It's up for pre-order at Amazon.com now.

Got my copy the week it came out but it's a Christmas present. Watched it on there website they should have released this in theaters instead.
